The hotel is nice and clean, try to get rooms at the end of the hall to avoid noises near the elevator.
The breakfast is average and the rest of the food is really bad considering what they charge. I don t mind paying 30usd for a dish, but it needs to be good. This is not, avoid the restaurant if you are into real food

Hotel itself is fine but the restaurant and bar.... the service is poor and slow. Waited 1 hr for some chicken wings and we were the only ones there... ridiculous! Better to just drive out and eat elsewhere, your tummy will thank you!

Nice, clean and easy to get to. Staff very accommodating and friendly. I asked for early checkin and received email at 8:00 am saying my room was ready, this was 5 hours ahead of scheduled checkin. Great food and room service.

Building is getting well used. Time for a freshing. Staff is awesome, close to everything around Detroit. They allow smoking right by the doors which is a joke for non-smokers. Rooms are clean, carpet is clean so you keep your white socks white.

The hotel itself was dirty. Caper is in need of cleaning. The room wasn't all that clean and there were ants crawling everywhere. There were people smoking marijuana in the parking lot and on the balcony. If you're looking for a comfortable bed forget it. It felt like sleep it on rocks. I would never stay there again. Customer service was excellent though.

Gorgeous, classy and clean, but... for carrying the Marriott name, it was not the usual that you would expect. Like for example when you walk into a Hilton Garden Inn, you get what you expect every time. I mean, the place is fantastic and I really can`t complain about anything, but I am just saying that it falls slightly short of the usual Marriott standards. If I had to complain, the rooms were somewhat small, but not a big deal.

All my IDs and legal documents were stolen April 2018 in the hotel room. Police report available. The incident costed me a lot of trips and thousands dollars at least and it still affects my life after a year. They wouldn't cooperate with the police, even I can identify the suspect. Of course, and they are rude to me, too. BE AWARE.

Stayed at this hotel this past weekend. I was not impressed with the hotel, it did not live up to my Marriott standards. I arrived at the hotel very late in the evening so I completed the mobile check in with the hopes my key would be ready More

I had the pleasure of staying here again and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent service! Markus at the front desk was the consummate professional and made sure I was well looked after. Looking forward to returning soon!

This hotel is adjacent to one of Southfield's business areas.
The building feels a bit old, but it is in good condition, clean and clean.
There is a parking lot enough.
There are no shops in the area, so there is a kiosk next to the reception.
You can not go out by foot at night because the security of the whole city is not so good.

Perfectly serviceable suburban Marriott. Friendly staff throughout. The executive lounge staff are great people and the hors d' oeuvre were surprisingly good. Assuming that you appreciate beef Wellington bites one day and little smokies in pastry the next. Just to be clear, I appreciated both on their own merits. Nicely updated rooms. Also very far from everything. Not even ramen in the little lobby store. If you're feeling peckish in the wee hours, you're out of luck. So really the only negative is that this hotel is in the burbs and doesn't make any effort to compensate. I'd give another star if they had a frozen burrito or a noodle cup. Alas...

CHECK RECEIPT BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I was a guest at this hotel, the room was registered and paid for by the University of Detroit Mercy. At check-in, the receptionist required ID and credit card. The next day I left at 10:30am for my meeting at Mercy. The next day, my card was charged. I had no problem with that, mistakes happen. But after I called, someone from accounting told me they would investigate and call me back. That never happened. Three days later, I called again. This time I was told my card would be credited and I would receive confirmation through my email. That never happened.... Here we are 6 days later, and no refund. What really bothers me is that I reached out to the University of Detroit Mercy and I was told they had paid for the room. DOUBLE DIPPING!! Very unprofessional.

The worst experience with Marriott ever. They are doing renovations at this hotel and it doesn't stop nor lessens noise when ppl are trying to rest. The water does not get hot it's just warm. The other guest was in the halls being extremely loud. The staff was very nonchalant and unconcerned. Had to ask for housekeeping to change the sheets after noticing hair in the sheets from previous guest. Had to ask for housekeeping to chsnge the sheets after we were there 2 days. They tidied up never cleaned up. Housekeeping waa on our floor from 9am to 7pm and still wasn't finished. There are no micowaves in the room. When i called at 2am to speak to a manager about the noise, there was no manager available but the rep said she was under the impression no one was on that floor because of the renovations.

Nice hotel but they could do a lot better with getting the right sized sheets for their beds. My bed had a mattress topper which made it impossible for the fitted sheet to fit properly resulting in a huge uncomfortable mess all night. Won't stay there again.

Had a really good stay here for a wedding. My group had issues with checking in but for me it was seamless with the mobile app. The problem for me was that the apps ability to unlock the door never worked. Ended up getting regular cards and had no issues from there on.

Staff was very accommodating to our group in terms of giving us a space to hangout after hours. Looks to be better built for business visits but it worked for multiple wedding groups this weekend.

The bed is super comfy! The room is nice and the staff is friendly. My only concern is that the hallway kind of stinks so I hope they clean the floors soon or figure out how to remedy that. That hotel is close to the downtown area and I think it's a great deal for the price.

I went there to nurse myself back to health. All of the staff from check-in to checkout were wonderful. They knew I was ill and chose to recover there. I was not disturbed. All of my needs were met by the front desk team and through the virtual chat representatives prior to my arrival (extra towels, room with tub, placed on a high floor far away from the elevator, etc.). The restaurant team were awesome as well. The bartender, waitstaff and management just shined! They all helped my healing process. I plan to stay again when I am well and can fully enjoy the offered amenities.

I was so excited to stay at the Marriott Hotel. Then life happened and I was unable to. I contacted Sharron ( Marriott Southfield) and was basically told it was nothing she could do. I was charged & didn t stay at this hotel. Customer service over all poor. No one person is able to make executive decisions.

The workout room is awesome (personal TV and headphones on every machine), and the staff is experienced and accomodating. They know how to help you without getting in your way. Everything is clean, comfortable, reasonably priced...I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a few months' stay. After that, the food options would probably get to you. There's not much around the hotel, and the lounge food is about average.
