Good food and drink, good atmosphere. At least the Essgeruch is negative, but partly owed the monument protection. For this you get an architecturally unique roof to face. Highly Recommended.

Nice but we went on a Tuesday night and a lot of booth were closed. I would go back the weekend next time.

A great place to eat and try new dishes. Prices are a bit overpriced but ok, because you also have to earn your money and pay for your stuff, and I also enjoy doing all the hard work to make other people happy with food.

Great street food offer. However, the price is not cheaper than lunch menus in the restaurants in the area. Due to the poor ventilation and volume, it is recommended to eat in the separate area or ideally outdoors in summer.

Old covered market today full of small stands to eat, many specialties from almost every country! Original toboggan to access the lower floor! Warm and friendly atmosphere! Correct price for Switzerland! Great tables you complete the tables after taking your dishes in different stands! When you are done, bring back your garbage and clear the table by bringing cutlery, plates and glasses! I was surprised by the cleanliness, organization and civility! Enjoy your meal !

Interesting concept of a great hall with a variety of food stalls. Other cities have similar concepts for example Rotterdam but better executed.

Super good food, a lot of variety and many smaller stands which are all specialized in something specific. There is enough space, in summer it wasn't too hot thanks to the ventilation and the staff was very nice and friendly.

Thanks to the regulation of the market hall, the beverage prices are predetermined, so the price pressure has been removed.

I would go there again at any time, as you can always discover something new there in terms of cuisine, in great quality and very quickly! Also suitable for a quick lunch menu.

What has developed here in recent months has even silenced the bad orators. Today, the market hall has become a melting pot of encounters, constantly changing offerings. Man / s / children come - stay - play - meeting point - etc. The concept of a multifunctional encounter has been successful.

Very good authentic international cuisine. It has something for every taste. Although even for Switzerland the prices are rather high for food stalls (usually between 15 and 20 CHF for a lunch without drinks)

Saturday at lunchtime.

We come 4 people, one brings us to the rest, we arrive and check that it is not brutally full and we have possibilities. We get a table and go for the first thing: drink.

After keeping an eye on a couple of locals I decide on Bierrevier. I order large beers, they are good.

There are many stalls with many different food options, we separate and each one looks for its own.

Our friend who lives here tells us that there is a position with a super rich Thai pad but our idea is to have a Thai pad and we discard it. I needed MANY turns because I didn't decide, many are many.

In the end I decided on Dragon Girl Dumplings.

Crispy duck: mit reis, salat und hausgemachtem hot ginger eistee.

A combined plate of duck, rice, rice noodle salad and seasoned cucumber salad and two dumplings. Includes a hot ginger tea for 18CHF.

The duck was very good, also rich rice cooked in its point with soy sauce. Rich part salads, fresh, give a point to everything, combined with the hot part. The dumplings, homemade, very rich.

I thought it was a great option even if I had tried all the posts.

With the food stalls from all over the world, everyone will find something they like, the choice is incredibly huge. I enjoy my lunch break at least twice a week.

Approximately 30 food stalls with kitchens from around the world. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, my favorite Asian stalls offer a bit less vegetables, but rather too large portions. Quality good, but not optimal.

You will find everything to eat there - a great variety - unfortunately I find the prices a bit high - the food, on the other hand, is very good.

Very nice place, cozy, informal, colorful. So many tasting options, lots of vegan options. A children's corner is also available. Prices ok. Top!

We ate Thai and that was great! Will definitely come back to try something different. People are very friendly. Our little one enjoyed the slide very much. The ice cream was also very special, but fine.

Great place for young families to dine and play! It's a super relaxed environment with various international food stalls ranging from Israeli to Curdish to Thai... my husband and I very much enjoy having a glass of wine near the play area and watching our son play among the other children. I wish Basel had more places like this for relaxed family dining!

Very good food from around the world. Always tested something new, always very positive. The only problem is that the market hall not work deduction has - say, the clothes afterwards smell very strict, so not recommended if you then something else before!

There is actually something to be found for everyone. Opening times of the stands are different from each other.

So many great restaurant choices. Ideal if you have a group so everyone can choose what kind of food they want. Even a produce stand. Bathrooms are clean!

One of the must visit places in Basel. Two great bars. Loads of freshly prepared well priced food. A well organised, internationally representative place with an outdoor area too. Who could ask for anything more for a night out?

One of my favourite places in Basel. Worked here for 6 months and always loved coming in here for lunch or a coffee meeting due to the variety and also good standards of food.

Indoor eating area, but there are not many choices, and the price is not cheap; there is a curved slide, which is very exciting, interesting, and fun, but do n t try to be timid.

I love the Abyssinian cuisine (the Veggi dish is awesome). Service is great and you can take the food with you. Unfortunately, you can only pay cash at certain stands. The ATM in the market hall itself is unfortunately out of service from time to time!
