I made my jump (Steve Harvey "Jump" Youtube), got some bumps and bruises along the way. I'm where I need to be not quite yet doing want I want to be doing. I appreciate MMC for giving me the skills to get where I want to be and to do what I want to do.
Truly the best job I've ever had the pleasure of wanting to turn into a career. Our CEO Jan, is the baddest chick I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Good pay but the unions a joke and so is management's worked there for 4 years and your just a number to them if you kiss butt you will make it far there there's journeyman welders there that aren't even certified in everyhing if you wanna bust your butt with no one noticing this place is for you
Started my first day as a pipefitter at marinette Marine. Very happy and greatful for the opportunity to join the union. Hope everything works out.
Worked there 3 1/2 yrs. welding aluminum pilot houses and steel hulls. They need to color tape leads together, calibrate welders some were off 4 volts. No supervision on weld quality. Crank it and yank it. I spent 3 days/week fixing other welders welds. Too many ppl spending hours on phone. Some kids disappear and don't come back till end of day. No disciplinary action. Slag inclusions everywhere. No back gouging. "Just burn it in" attitude. This is a combat ship! Where's your pride? Other than that I liked my job just fine. Serious issues with skill level. MANIPULATE THE PUDDLE.
