The food was very good. You could taste the different flavors and ingredients in the salsa. The food was served hot (temperature) and looked good too. This food is better than most Mexican restaurants and it looked and tasted like the staff took care in preparing my meal.

Honestly very overpriced! Chips and salsa left A lot to be desired. I ordered a margarita and it was the best thing we had ordered. Everything was mediocre and for the price we were expecting amazing!

We found this place on accident and I'm so glad we did. Everyone is very nice, service is good, and food is awesome. A few dollars more than your average Mexican restaurant, but totally worth it. Their margaritas are great- guava and mango mixes are made in house and very delicious. The sangarita is great too but very strong so be careful! I highly suggest everyone try this place at least once, I don't understand why they are always so slow but eat here, then tell all your friends how great it was!

Cheerful interior w big fireplace....nice on those Dreary, chill Fall days in Ohio.
Generous portions of basic nachos ($7). Decent margaritas. Nice way to spend an afternoon

Con: like all Mexican restaurants I've ever been to they bring a basket of chips to the table. THE 1ST BASKET IS FREE, YOU PAY FOR ANY MORE. What Mexican restaurant does that??!!

This place is really up and down. I've had 5 and 1 star service experiences here. Food is always good though, and there's plenty of margaritas to make it a good time, as long as you can find your waiter to bring them to you.

The staff was really nice...but the food was not anything I would go back for. The menu was over priced. I got the salsa was good, guac was ok. I got the shrimp empanadas & the shrimp was fishy. My hubby got chicken & beef tacos. The chicken was gray, dry & flavorless & the ground beef was greasy & tasted like it was been sitting. My son got the chicken taco & rice. The rice was the best thing on anyone's plate. Sad I actually talked my hubby into trying a new Mexican restaurant & I got the "this is why I don't try new places" response. FAIL!

We've eaten here a few times and the food has always been outstanding! The alcoholic drinks are AMAZING.

The restaurant isn't perfect, though. When arriving today the right doors were locked which was strange. I had to bring it to their attention at 6pm well after they had opened. The staff can be absent at times (they do not have a dedicated hostess and rely on servers to welcome and seat customers). Our server was on top of things and worked hard to make us happy. The background music was ghetto Mexican rap and a bit too loud. In my opinion, inappropriate for this type of atmosphere.

Overall, I give it 4 stars and will return anytime we are in the area.

My husband and I ate there for dinner. It was a Friday night around 7. The placed seemed empty for a Friday evening. I ordered chicken fajitas. When my meal came the waitress didn't bring me any cheese, so I asked for some. I was shocked to find out that not only did I get charged 16.00 for my fajitas, but I was also charged 2.50 for about 1/4 cup of cheese, and 1.25 for extra tortillas. It would have been nice to know that in advance. I guess I thought cheese and tortillas were just standard when you order fajitas. Anyway, the food was overpriced, and it wasn't anything to brag about. Will not go back!

The service is always above average in the food is consistent and authentic... The authenticity comment comes from a gringos perspective. However, I have eaten enough Mexican food to have fed and army in the war of 1812. I do not take my liking Mexican food lightly. This place is well worth the trip!

Tio s has rebranded as La Herradura. They have a new menu that features many favorites from the former menu, and has added some outstanding new dishes that are simply delectable. Daniel and Martin mix up the best margaritas in Ohio! La Herradura has all of the necessary components of a fantastic Mexican restaurant A collaboration of authentic and creative dishes, margaritas, a first-rate staff and location. Martin and Juan have teamed to make La Herradura the best Mexican restaurant in Columbus... hands down!

Not your average Mexican joint, this place has octopus fajitas and a lot of creative dishes. Try the thing in the pineapple! Everything is really good, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Beware the Devil's pollo: it was actually so spicy I couldn't finish it! Great drink specials too, and margarita's. Dining area is clean, servers are attentive, and there's a soccer game on all the time.

Wish that I could post a positive review. We sat at the bar and were told that she would be with us in a few minutes, fifteen minutes later our server took our drink order. Our 'top shelf' margaritas were $15.00 each and not what the menu description said. Our server never came back to take our food order or inquire if we were happy with our beverages. We got up to leave and stood at the hostess stand to pay our bill. Our server came up complaining that she was the only employee working the floor. We said that we could see that she was overwhelmed and offered some suggestions for improved customer service. Hope they get it together.

Walked in, sat down and the bus boy brought us chips and salsa. Place was 10% full with maybe ten tables. We waited 20 minutes and never saw a waitress. Walked out and didn't see any staff on our way out.

We have been to Tio's four or five times since they opened and every visit has been great. The menu has so many choices from standard Mexican dishes to unique and wonderful choices. The service is always good and the food comes out hot and smelling wonderful. It's never busy so I hope people who like El Vaquero, which I do, give this a try, the quality is better and with more selections.

Good service and good food. A little on the expensive side. Only suggestions I have is lower the price of cheese dip. $6 is a little much. Also, charging tables for additional basket of chips and salsa is silly. Especially when you have more people in your party and start with the same amount of chips you would have for less.

I was really nervous about eating at Tio Margaritas. When I pulled up i was only the 3 rd car in the parking lot ...Friday night 5p. I am so glad we decide to stay because the food was the best Mexican food that I have had in a very long time. The margaritas, the chips, cheese and salsa were great.
I never take home any Mexican dishes (just not worth it) but this food was so good and plentiful, that I had enough for lunch tomorrow. And can't wait. The Atmosphere and service was awesome. Restaurant were clean and nicely decorated. 5 Stars well deserved...

Good kids meals. My daughter got a cheeseburger and fries. The fries were delicious, which took me by surprise. The cheeseburger was also good and a huge portion for her . They even grilled the bun perfectly. Great attratten to detail for a kids meal. Will return.

The food was very good. Line Margarita was very good. I was there for about an hour and was the only customer. It was after work happy hour. As I left the other two places in the strip were very busy. I suspect it is the prices. As much as I liked the food it is way too expensive. I will not return just because of that reason. If this was a fine dining establisment I could justify it. The ambiance does not fit the pricing.

Menu is heavy on seafood entrees. No tamale entrees although they do have a la carte chicken tamales you can order individually (but only chicken). One in our party ordered an entree with shrimp and the shrimp were not properly deveined. Seemed overpriced also. Our experience was just OK but we probably won't be back. Many other Mexican options.

Restaurant name change not the only change to the old Tio s. Completely new menu and the food is amazing! I had Juan s special and my wife and I both agree that this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city! Excited to make my way through the rest of the menu. Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.

Much like the dozens of other Mexican places in Columbus, I would give Tios a slight step above because the food always tastes fresh. Many of the other places seem like your dish has been sitting under the warming lamp for hours, waiting for you to order it. I fear it may not be around long, given the lack of clientele at lunch. Hopefully, it is more crowded in the evenings.

Very creepy staff and atmosphere. The food was extremely salty. Not to mention it was overpriced. Two adults and one child cost over $60 for standard meals and drinks. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will not be returning

We had the vegetarian fajitas and they were excellent. Tons of veges, great flavor, the refried beans are the BEST in Columbus. Great news reasonable price and excellent service. Cold Dos Equis!

A good Mexican spot. Pretty similar to all the others, few chips and salsa, similar menu, etc. I've been here at least 10 times now though, and it is dependable. Solid service, nice TVs, etc.

Good food but slow service. There were 4 tables at 7:30 pm on a Tuesday night. I think it's kind of on the pricey side for Mexican food. For a slow night didn't think we'd be there for 1.5 hours with 3 toddlers starting to lose their minds.

Best Mexican restaurant in Columbus, Ohio! Date night, happy hour with colleagues, birthdays, family dinner, every occasion, you are going to be very happy you chose this restaurant. Excellent service both at the bar and in the kitchen. Hot food. Freshly made everything. As close to Mexico City dishes as you will taste anywhere in the Midwest. Must-try avacado margaritas with top shelf tequila, yummy flavored ground beef, I love all of the shrimp dishes, fresh ceviche, so many chimichangas, combination plates, the El Amigo dinner and Juan s Special will not disappoint. Martin and Juan are the owners and always make my family feel like you are in their home. Such a great place!

I guess I won't be ordering from them anymore. First time I order the lunch Fajita I was charged for mushrooms and didn't get it. This time I order the lunch Fajita on my 30 min LUNCH only to get back to work and I do not have my lettuce, pico or sour cream that it comes with as stated on their menu. So disappointed the only thing they can get right is the Cheese Dip. I'm sorry but 50% off my next meal is not okay with me for the fact that now I am at work and can not enjoy the lunch I paid $24 for. Who wants to eat a fajita without the necessary paired items. Sorry you've lost a customer. I will not give ya'll a third time to screw up my order. Should've kept the tip in my pocket. Smh

We live right around the corner and were happy to see a Mexican restaurant fill in the space once occupied by Las Margaritas. They never disappoint--from the service all the way to the margaritas, this place is great! The food quality is fantastic and they are priced fairly...I encourage people to come and visit this restaurant.
