We had the best gluten free pizza ever! Will definitely return often.
We had the best gluten free pizza ever! Will definitely return often.
I feel like I got robbed but I did walk in here on my own account.... if you want meat on your lunch you won t get out of here for less then 20$. Why is a ceaser salad 2$ more?
The ricotta was excellent on the Sicilia but the rest of the ingredients had very little taste.
Food was fast to our tables and good. Had to add some pepper to it as it was a bit bland. My wife got the Alfredo dish and she liked it quite a bit. Overall it was a good place to visit.
Atmosphere send upscale... Service was slow and unimpressive. Pizza? Just moderate. Won't be back.
The atmosphere is really neat. Staff seem more interested in conversing with themselves and just getting through their shift. The food was fine, but not exciting.
IF YOU WANT THE BEST PIZZA IN DENVER, YOU HAVE TO INSTALL A NEW YORK WATERMAKER SYSTEM. IT PRODUCES REAL NY WATER, WHICH IS WHAT IS NEEDED FOR GREAT PIZZA.
Love this place. Our meal was fantastic. The pizza and wings were amazing. The staff was friendly and competent and the owner enhanced our experience. I was blown away at the quality.
Amazing authentic crust and fast service. We went in at about 4 on a Wednesday, were immediately seated, and had our food in 15 minutes. Delicious pizza if you like thin crust.
Excellent food. Very quickly ready for to go order.
Nothing more authentic in Denver. I felt like I should he speaking Italian all night.
Crust was decent and ingredients were fresh/quality, but the two vegetarian pizzas we got were bland.
I don't usually write reviews but this place is AMAZING. My fiance and I stopped here to try a new place on the way through town. I have Celiac Disease, requiring me to eat gluten free. I had the Toscana and seriously, hands down, best pizza I have ever had. They make the GF dough in house and it is chewy, soft, and wonderful. If you require a GF diet I HIGHLY recommend. My fiance loved his build your own pizza as well. Sara was friendly and we were served swiftly. Thank you Marco's! We will be back!
By far the best pizza in Colorado!!!
They are one of a handful of pizza places certified by the Neapolitan pizza authority in Naples Italy, and it shows. Wood fired pizza cooked to perfection every single time.True Buffala mozzarella is available (and recommended), and their eggplant is to die for (its breaded and friend before going on the pizza) the owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met.
Their name used to be Marco's (not to be confused with the terrible chain place of the same name) and they changed it to differentiate themselves.
Not good pizza.
The cheese literally slipped right off the bread on every slice. And, the bread/crust underneath was soggy .
On the positive, their staff was friendly so props to you guys for being friendly!
Fix your cheese and I think your pizza would be better
Very good pizza! Come here if you want a great experience and great food.
Horrible service didn t even want to help with ordering or answering my questions. Employee was very rude! Don t recommend.
Pizza and the setting at this spot is great. Staff is always nice even when they have a full house. The bill was decent. I see why this place has so many good reviews.
This was my first visit to the Ballpark location of Marco's. I usually go to Inverness and this location might even a little better? I went for brunch and had a wonderful gluten free pizza with smoked Buffalo mozzarella and arugula. I added on a Hot Toddy and it made for one lovely breakfast! Great service too. When I'm downtown, I'll definitely stop at this location again.
Marco's downtown can get very busy on weekend nights, and it can feel rushed and impersonal, ad prices are high. HOWEVER, the pizza is totally worth it, great ambiance.
This might be the best pizza in Denver!! It rivals Grimaldi's in NYC!!!
Cute little pizza spot in ballpark area in Denver- margherita is my fav
Highly recommend. Very friendly staff! You must get the limoncello chicken wings. They are so good. The food was high quality. The menu is simple and the food was fresh and delicious.
So. Freakin'. Good. 10 of us went and 10 of us loved it. Excellent service, even with such a big group. Go!
Delicious pizzas and wings!
Monday s and Tuesday s are half off margherita pizzas making them $6!
Went there Halloween night! Had excellent service from a very kind waitress, food was good, and atmosphere was friendly. We will be returning soon for the Nutella pizza!
Spectacular Pizza. Friendly wonderful team. So Impressive.
New to Denver and they even said that the water is the same PH level as NYC water and cooked in Volcanic oven.
Its so cool and a great area as well.
Amazing Pizza & the great selection of local brews.
Thank you for existing! Being Gluten Free is a rough life, and pizza has been the hardest thing to stop eating. However, now that has changed. This is one of the best pizza's I have ever had, and somehow, its gluten free. No idea how they did it, but wow its amazing. We also had the focaccia bread (also gluten free) and seriously if you are gluten free and craving bread, this is the place. Lets not also forget that you are taken care of by literally one of the nicest, friendliest, and most knowledgeable waitress I have ever met. ROBIN, you are exceptional at your job, you made me feel so comfortable with my dietary needs, you explained everything so well, and your recommendations were on point. Cannot thank you enough, Marco's Coal Fired, you have a new customer for life. See you guys very soon.
Would've been ok except for the crowd - good food and drinks but stay clear on weekend evenings unless you want to chance being subject to the flood of some obnoxious Colorado transplant over-runs. Really goes for this whole district, but this place isn't distinct enough to warrant a special trip when there are plenty like it in less packed spots.
Make time for Marco's! Complimentary parking [not available during Rockie's home games].
The BEST salad I have ever had. Literally drooling while I write this. I got the small house salad. The balsamic vinagerette dressing was to die for. We also ordered the Limoncello Wings. OH MY, again - mouth watering.
For pizza we ordered the Margherita and the Del Re. OMG!!!!!! WOW!!!! My husband was born and raised in Naples, Italy and this passed his test!
The customer services was perfect. We were seated immediately. It was our anniversary and they brought us over two glass of champagne to celebrate. The owner even brought and served us our food! It was such a delight too to find out that the girl who brought us over our champagne, Brittany - she was from our hometown St. Louis.
We can't wait to get back to Marco's!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great service, great prices, great people. If you're looking for a chill place, and good Italian eats, this is your spot!
So many things wrong with this place, the server of course had no idea on how to wait on a large party, but what to expect when he was drinking a beer when we came in. The owner was there, Mark who I spoke to, after my second time getting up from the table to find the server to take drink orders. Of course Mark gave me lip service that he was on it. Nothing changed...
We had a very fresh salad barely dressed. When the pizza came my husband said it tasted like a white bread stick, only mushy and wet. I added roasted peppers and breaded eggplant $10.00 extra for a teaspoon of eggplant- a tiny bit of raw peppers!squares of generic sausage that were gross.
In the kitchen not an Italian to be found. No one cares here that's for sure. Service was great, Nicole the best.
Great crust, great toppings, super sauce. Hot coal fire oven makes for a great pizza.
$5 happy hour margherita pizza is hard to beat. Drinks were reasonable for the area and service was quick.
I've never had a bad meal here. The lemoncello (sp?) chicken wings are fabulous, as are their salads. And their pizza is so-o-o-o good! There's even a nutella dessert pizza - who can argue with that? The outdoor patio is my favorite place to sit. Makes you forget you're in the middle of downtown Denver.
Love it. Excellent service. Casual and easy. Food good too!
Simply the BEST pizza I have ever experienced. Toppings are out of this world.
Staff was friendly. Only came in for takeout and didn't dine in. The pizza was delicious. Try the Calabria.
Delicious. Pricey for Pizza because of the great ingredients.
It was my first visit to Denver and I had heard very good things about Marcos - and it met all my expectations! Amazing food and my server, Robin, was helpful and friendly! I WILL come back!
Great beers! Awesome food! The bartender, AJ, was great and made the evening a very enjoyable experience.
Really good Italian style pizzas. It's a reasonably priced place to grab dinner and drinks downtown too.
Authentic Napoletan ingredients means authentic Napoletan pizza, highly recommend.
Lemon wings were phenomenal. Great service @Taylor. Nice drink variety. Obviously good pizza. Last great location.
They keep switching names, but the food is still really good
The pizza is very delicious. They are pretty small so I recommend getting a couple for the table if you have a group of 4. The bread that comes with the spinach dip is pretty delightful. Great place to go before a game and they take reservations.
Service was exceptional bartender at the time (MacKenzie) I believe helps with marketing as well, chatted about company's history, when the best specials are, parking tips, etc.
Food was on point for a $9 lunch special, would recommend it again.
Only real improvements I can see are larger variety of salad dressings (had 3x vinaigrettes and nothing else at time of writing), perhaps a whole wheat/grain crust, and some hot sauces (though the chili oil was a good sub).
However, none of those would add to the authentic feel, so I understand.
Definitely planning to go back soon!
Best pizza in Denver in our opinion. All options are light but flavorful, unique but not outlandish. Parking is a bit of a pain but coming back from a Rockies game, it is a perfect walking distance away.
I called this place when I was visiting Denver and asked if they had any vegan options. The man who answered the phone (on the afternoon of 10/13/14) said I could maybe get a salad. He then said, "this isn't really a place for vegans". I asked if the pizza crust and sauce are vegan and he said yes. Instead of offering up what I possibly could have chosen for lunch, he made me never want to patronize this place. Denver is full of vegan-friendly businesses including pizza places. We went to another place and spent our $75 there instead.
I love the family especially Apollonia and her Grand Father and she has the best Father & Mom in the world much love to a beautiful family I love your PIZZA ! had a great one again see you tomorrow !
Got a table quickly before a Rockies game. Parking would probably be tough. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Pizza is good. Crust was a bit burnt on edges. I prefer a bit more crispy on the bottom. But overall not bad.
Pizza was good. Server was great, never had to ask for things. Water was good too.
Perfect gluten free options which are surprisingly delicious especially the pannacotta.
This is great for a quick bite before a baseball game downtown. Good pizza. A little too small for large parties
This place was AMAZING! the pizza was probably the best I have ever had and that was just the start. Their happy hour deals included meatball sliders which were great and a good selection is local beers which was great. The wait staff and bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful.
I honestly can't recommend this pace highly enough. If your in Denver, do yourself a favor go here!!!
Good pizza. Love the crust. They have an old and real over. Pretty cool. I wish the pizza was seasoned just a bit more but definitely tastes very authentic.
Nice staff & good service but the pizza was just not great. My husband ordered one with quite a few toppings and those were added after the pizza had been cooked, so they were somewhat cold. Very odd. Also, I think a somewhat high end $15/glass of wine should be served in a proper wine glass, not a tumbler that resembled a water glass.
One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Plenty of vegetarian friendly options. Pretty good beer choices, including 3 rotating taps that have been local both times I've gone. A little more of an upscale pizzeria, but worth giving a shot.
Excellent pizza! The margherita with bufala mozzarella reminded of the ones from Lombardi's in New York. So good!
Awesome service and friendly very accommodating us for our son 15th birthday. Taylor was amazing ask for her. Beautiful and friendly.
I understand that it was a Saturday night, but our waitress was condescending and rude. We love the pizza, but the lack of service set me over the edge. Marquis Pizza isn t nearly as good, but it s right down the street.
Marco s, I hope you change your ways. I ll be back, if you do.
Great food , help, and simple, welcoming, relaxing atmosphere.Wood fried ovens in front of you. Will return if in Denver
Excellent pizza and really friendly staff. The chicken wings are really unique (they have a lemon flavor) but are really good too. The pizza crust is amazing and the toppings are all fresh. Great Neapolitan style pizza!
We stopped for the Saturday brunch and beats to have some cocktails and listen to music.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Denver. Great atmosphere and staff. Once you try their pizza you will wonder why you have ever gone anywhere else. I also suggest their Limoncello Chicken Wings.....amazing! If you come in here make sure you sit at the bar or say hi to the bartender AJ. He is a great mixologist that treats all the clientele like they are family! My friends, family and I go here at least once a month if not more. One last thing...dessert...I never get it anywhere besides here. You have to get the Nutella Pizza. Every bite will make your eyes roll to the back if your head and I am not exaggerating.
Fair prices for the food. Crust and sauce were both top notch. Service was great.
Excellent Italian style pizza with some very interesting options.
Called in to ask a question about the menu. Person picked up then hung up immediately. Called again, then the same thing. I called a third time, keep in mind this is absolutely during business hours, and a gentleman answered the phone saying Marcos Coal Fire, what . He answered my question reluctantly then hung up on me when I wasn t even finished. Will not ever be attending this restaurant and you lost my online sale.
Liked this place a lot, good pizza wood-fired will always get you 5stars with me. although it's not perfect, it's pretty darn good
Upscale Pizza place. Good spot if you want to sip some wine or have a mixed drink. Not so great if your just looking not back a few cold brews. Still great pizza.
