This is not a market like any other, when you enter within it you do not just go into any trade, here you are doing a concrete action concerning the protection of the planet. Indeed it is a place where you can find local products (Montreal and surroundings), fresh and seasonal at unbeatable prices. Since it is a non-profit, the goal is to reverse the producers and be attractive in terms of price! We can talk about short circuit because it is the only intermediary between the consumer and the producer, I must still specify that this market gets supplies in the central market where all the producers are found! Moreover, it is not a hostile market for the importation of some products such as citrus fruits, bananas and avocados.

The market can be summarized in two axes. Ecological focus: offering Quebec products, sometimes organic, without too much packaging in the Ville-Marie district.
Solidarity axis: presents activities relating to urban agriculture, various clothing workshops and the possibility of volunteering at the market (4 hours / month = 20% reduction on purchases of the month).
It is small but very cute and practical because next to the metro frontenac and the library.
