Went on a tour to Tagaytay, Talisay, and the Taal Volcano hiking tour of the volcano. Our guide Rolando Javelona gave us so much information. The tour started in Makati City and then to Talisay where we boarded boats to take us to the volcano hike. Views were fantastic and we all learned so much about the local culture, customs, and sights we saw. On the way back we had a delicious lunch waiting for us. The experience was something I wont forget - it was absolutely enchanting, very spectacular scenery. To others that travel to Manila on business - do yourself a favor and get out of your hotel for a day of sightseeing if you have the time - you wont regret it and you wont forget it. You can book these tours directly from most hotels in Makati City.

I will convey to you my experience in detail with my impression of them

Initially I paid more than 7,000 pesos on the Pagsanjan Falls through their office located in the hotel.

The next morning at 7:30 we took the drivers from the accommodation to Shangrila Hotel and we met the tour guide for the trip and welcomed us. Anoufi said a couple were accompanying us on the trip as the journey was collective.

We rode the van, it was clean and air conditioned, the distance of the road was two hours by car until we arrived for our destination, the guide was good and he had good information and we took advantage of it, so he kept quiet all the way through talking.

We asked him how much we gave them, he said about 1,000 pesos, and then the workers of the bamboo boat (the bamboo), and he said to him, The wind passes through you from under the waterfall giving them almost 200-300 pesos.

We came to the resort where we were going down the river. We were surprised that they said you had to buy a plastic cover against the water for your mobile because you were suffering from infection. You also need to take a slipper because the carrot is also getting wet. You need to take a clothes piece or buy a plastic bag. We took the plastic bag and the mobile bag. And by the use of a plastic bag, our clothes were all worn.

Kano offers a safety deposit box where you can put your personal belongings and belongings into the boat.
The safe is bad but does not meet the point. And have surveillance cameras on them.

We rode the boat, it was bad and never comfortable, and it is good for the elderly and who has back pain. But the boat trip across the river was pleasantly enjoyable. Pass through a forest and see animals and reptiles even snakes. The local people show their normal lives, who catch fish, who wash their clothes in the river, and the children who swim.

The workers of the boat were fun and cheerful like the rest of the Filipino people, and the Secretariat had a great job so they sometimes lifted the boat. The job was very tired to climb but getting off was easier.

We got to the waterfall and rode a bamboo boat, of course the boat was tied by a rope from both sides. As they pull the boat under the waterfall. Of course after that they asked us to bite. What we gave them.

On the way back in the boat we took less time to climb, and the boatmen started asking for tipping. Of course I was against it because the amount we paid was high and supposed to cover all the costs. But you despise us and give them.

And when we got out of the boat they made a lunch because the oyster soup was excellent, and the fish was good, but the rice was bad. And did not include a drink. The guide says he is determined by the world.

Then we rode the car and returned to the hotel Shan and supposed to descend the couple and the guide, after the couple came down, guide and told us to say what you have to give me patties. We apologized respectfully.

And we are supposed to return at 5:00 pm We arrived at the hotel only at 6:00 pm due to the suffocating traffic jam.

Overall a beautiful but expensive and annoying trip to request tipping.

I booked the Manila Old & New tour less than 24 hours in advance. It says they pick up from whatever Manila hotel you re at, which isn t true. They wanted me to go to a hotel just 15 mins away or pay $10 per person for us to be picked up at our hotel. Being that we re visitors with no car, we opted to pay. It would ve been nice for them to clear that up before we booked. It says everything else that s included, including hotel pickup and drop off from your Manila hotel. We are in Quezon City and the other hotel they said they would pick us up for free at is also located in Quezon City so I m not sure what the difference was. Pickup was at 745am and they showed up early and had our hotel call up for us which was great. We didn t feel rushed in any way. There was already one other tourist waiting in the car who was from the same hotel as ours. Ton Ton (or Tom Tom?) picked us up first and made two stops to pick up others before taking us to the meeting place. We got there around 820-830 and had hang out and wait until 9am to leave for the morning tour. During this time we paid our extra fees and so did the other person from our hotel AND another couple we had picked up along the way, so I m guessing they do this extra fee thing a lot. Neil (Neal??) ended up being our driver for the tour and he was AMAZING. He had an answer for every question and answers for questions that weren t even asked yet. We went to the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, two churches, Rizal Park, saw the Jose Rizal National Monument, and ended it with Fort Santiago. Everything was beautiful and we learned a lot.
