nice location to meet with family. service is consistently great. similar to a place in denver i loved.

I love Marble Slab Creameries ! They have great prices and you can get as many toppings as you want ! They have great customer service and the staff are always really nice . If you are going doing the covid they have great protocols set in place to protect you and them! They have waffle cones and bowls. They also have shakes and custom ice cream cakes! If you go here you would not be disappointed! I reccomend Marble Slab's to anyone who loves ice cream and customizing it too!

Oh my gosh these people take so dang long. I mean they act like there is not a line to the door. They move at snail pace. Really not worth the wait. The chocolate bar is much better.

Ice cream was good, standard Marble Slab.

Service was terrible. Very rude and surly employee working in the front of the store by herself. No greeting or acknowledgement whatsoever when we walked in and up to the counter; just a stare as if we were bothering her.

We asked to try a sample which she grudgingly provided, along with an eyeroll and a heavy sigh.

Selected my ice cream, which she made as if it were a huge chore, still without a word spoken to us. Made my companion's ice cream the same way, and then when we ordered a third, received another eyeroll, a sigh, and a reprimand that we should have let her know that we were ordering three ice creams up front.

At this point I'd had enough of her rudeness, and told her that she needed to work on her attitude and how she treats customers coming into her store. She didn't take too kindly to my telling her "how to do her job and putting her in her place", left the ice cream on the slab, and ran to the back to tattle for a couple of minutes to another employee about the customer in front who was mean to her, despite a line of a few more people now waiting behind us.

She came back, made the third ice cream, and snapped at us asking how many more ice creams we needed to order.

I said a few more words about her rudeness, and then we paid and left.

Will not be returning to this location any time soon.

Food safety is not being followed very well here.

Server was horrible and rude. Never asked us if was to go or in store. Never asked for toppings. No to go bags provided. Ice cream dripping from cups. Worst customer service !!!

Not the best Marble Slab in Houston. I've gone to a few and this has been the worst one and I hate to say it. A lot of mix-ins were stale and the ice cream ended up being soupy and melted. We asked to use our slab rewards and it ended up being the same price. ( i didn't ask why though, my fault). When I went back to order an other ice cream 5 minutes later, the lady was on her phone for a minute saw me and went back to her phone. Weird because it's in a good area in Houston

I gave 3 stars because the lady serving the ice cream was nice but the ice cream not so nice plus the cones tasted old...when my son Mikey dislike its not nice!!!

I told her the girl behind the counter I wanted caramel macchiato watever in the picture the are promoting. She told me she didn't know what it is, and hiw to make. It is my fault. Sometimes I demand impossible.

The service in this place is the worst of the city of Houston since we arrived 15 minutes before the business will close the lady who works did not want to attend because she said it was closed I think it is very badly liked not to attend the public we will never return to this place my family and I

Top notch ice cream. Really enjoyed this place and River oaks is quaint so the location is good too.

Terrible service. Waited for 15 minutes while the older lady working there chatted on the phone. She kept her back turned while the line of customers grew. We waited for 15 minutes then left.

AC doesn't work. Store is not clean. Employee was sweating and asked us to get a bowl instead of a cone ecause the ice cream was melting. They were right, it melted before we could walk out of the store.

Family place I recommend: sweet macaroons are a kind of French biscuits of different colors based on egg white, glass sugar and ground almonds. Two cookies are joined with a sticky filling of different flavors.

Unfortunately I didn t heed the poor rating of this shop. It s tiny, in dire need of renovation, and the ice cream selection is really small. The marble slab they mix with ice cream on couldn t have been frozen, because my ice cream was a runny mess when it was scooped into the bowl. At least the staff woman was super sweet and friendly!
Definitely won t be coming back to this location.

Service treated us so nice. The bill was good for how much you get. I can see why they have so many reviews.

I went to the creamery the other night and it took 10 minutes for the staff to realize there was anyone inside after I rang the bell three times. I also ended up throwing the ice cream away because the cone was stale and hard to chew. I was very disgusted out by this creamery.

So many choices and absolutely delicious! Very friendly staff. Also way cheaper than Menchies. Highly recommend this place :)

The girl helping me and my friend we extremely rude. Her attitude and annoyance was so obvious I ended up not ordering and my friend was very disappointed with what she got.

The place was gross. The food had a funky taste to it. I would avoid at all costs. There was a dog walking around behind the counter where the food was being handled!

The service was fast and friendly. They have a new limited time flovor called the Charcoal Mocha. Super good, get it while it's still in stores.

This place is so dirty you wonder how clean the ice cream is....

Sad to see that people have had so many bad experiences here. I grew up down the street and have many memories of this marbles slab, all of them positive. The last time I went was last month, to take my two nephews for a treat. The young man working was attentive and friendly. Thankful to have them!

went here when i had a craving. Very happy with service and my order. go here when you have a craving for the cold sweet stuff. ICE CREAM :)

Woman was not very friendly. She did not explain to me that my ice cream would be too big before charging me for the next size which was $3 more. Wasn t worth it. I also didn t get the fudge I asked for and she did not do a good job of chopping the toppings in and just mixed them around instead.

I used to work here and the boss overworked me. Had me come in 2 hours earlier than usual and tried to have me come in on my off days. He got mad at me because I was looking malnourished and exhausted all the time. He didn't care once about my well being at all, all be cares about is his money. Trust me, I worked my butt off here and gave it my all but once the customers noticed I how I was looking from time to time, they brought it to my attention. That's when I knew I had to throw in the apron and call it quits. I brought it back to his attention and in all honesty he just shook his head and didn't care. 10/10 don't ever work for them.

Waffle cones were thin and horrible. Ice cream was melted. The older lady behind the counter kept on asking my girlfriend how much ice cream She wanted on her cone. We have never been asked that at any ice cream place. The older lady working was just plain rude, horrible customer service. Place was dirty, we did not get our receipt either. Can't wait to get a free ice cream but not going back to this location ever.

What the heck did I just experience going to this place. Literally my co-worker and I walk in at 11 to fill a late night crave. The attitude of the employees screamed the following omg why are you even here. My co-worker and I both were laughing because we work late evenings in as private fencing coaches. And both of us were saying that we wouldn t give a bad private lesson to a client just because it was 9:00 pm and we were about to go home afterwards.

TLDR: save your money for a milkshake a Wendeys or something. The franchise owner should be made aware that his/her business is being run like trash.

i come to this one all of the time. came in for a late light snack, and i got the tenth degree. ive worked in retail and the customer service industry since i was 15....i walked in got eye rolls and talking under the breath. don t come here late you will literally lose your appetite. i asked if it was okay and they said ugh yeah...you have 10 mins people coming is before closing is apart of the business. you just roll with it not chastise people. never coming back.

Ok ice cream, but terrible service. My boys of 2 and 4 years old were super excited to get ice cream. The long wait and long faces made them wonder what s wrong with the ice cream people. Will not return .

I like this place because they have banana ice cream and gave me a lot of pecans, however, the last two time that I've ordered my favorite the guy behind the counter was a little skimpy on the portion size, barely to the top of the large cup, they used to give e me a heaping cup full, but they still get 5 stars because they are one of the few places to make and stock banana ice cream

Visited June 3rd 2018 around 9 pm.

The hispanic woman in her 60s was extremely rude.

She got super upset because I did not tell her I was getting two ice creams of the same flavor in advance. She decided having to walk back to the fridge to get another scoop was not worth her time and instead was worth scolding us and commenting on how we were wasting her time.

Once she finished making my icre cream and I start eating it, she asks me to give it back to her so that the other employee can make a new one for me since "I did not like the one she made" -which I never mentioned. All I wanted was two ice creams and a little bit of kindness.

To the manager of the business: That woman is hurting your reputation!. We are not going back there any time soon. You can ask the younger hispanic boy working with her to confirm my story. She seemed to be giving him a hard time as well.

I went when they were closed, but they were very nice and awesome, they opened the door and served their delicious ice cream, so that s above and beyond great service.

A sweet treat on a hot summer day. I've never been to marble slab before. So to day was a pleasant surprise. The parking is tight for the strip center, so be ready to circle the lot at least twice. Also be prepared for dogs of all sizes to be in the area. Next door is a natural pet supply store called Natural Pawz.

This location has several low fat and frozen yogurt selections available, but I went for the gusto. It appears the ice cream flavor is a minor component. The myriads of toppings are the real stars. I tried the birthday cake and sweet cream flavors. For the types of toppings I planned to add the birthday cake would be too much. So the sweet cream won. According to the signage they are now offering unlimited toppings. Yes you read that correctly, unlimited toppings. So my white chocolate waffle bowl was about to explode by the time I was done. I had white chocolate chips, caramel sauce, strawberries, walnuts, pecans, marichino cherries, and whipped cream. The upgraded bowl and cone choices were only like $1.00. Compared to other ice cream parlors I'll say that's a honey of a deal. I created a sundae with one scoop that I normally would have had three scoops to capture all the flavors I love. All for the low low price total of about $6. Marble slab stays open later than most to cater to customers evening cravings.

Tables and chairs are available for eating in. I must say the width on the chair is curve girl approved, but the hard metal frame is not. Thankfully you eat ice cream rather fast any way cause if not your legs would be numb.

They do have a rewards program. At one point you could collect stamps on a frequent purchase card, but now they have gone digital. Be sure to sign up at your time of purchase so no points are missed. Overall it was an amazing experience. I wonder what creation my next trip will bring?

This marble slab is pretty good! Usually has nice workers. We don't come here anymore after they got rid of the butter pecan but it was good while it lasted.

I order from UberEats. 20 min delivery BUT it's 90+ in Houston. The package should be packed in ice to keep the ice cream frozen. Prefer not to eat ice cream through a straw.

My first time here, unfortunately was not a good experience. I think the lady caring for us did not fully understand English well and also was not familiar with names of items such as snickers. I ordered a snicker doodle (vanilla, carmel, snickers) and she asked me 3 times what was in it. I told her but she made me vanilla, carmel and nestle choc chips. Not to mention the ice cream was completely melted. I think the marble top was not cold enough. Next, my husband ordered Peanut butter galaxy and the lady said they were out of peanut butter cups (later to find out there was a whole tub of it..grrr). So he ordered something else. She asked my hubby 4x what was in it...and she still made it wrong. When we told her that it was vanilla not birthday cake, she tried putting the birthday cake ice cream that was already on the marble slab back in the ice cream freezer. I told her she can't do that, and she said "oh no I can't?"...I don't know but I don't think so....she threw it out. At the end we had a soupy mess of melted ice cream...we ran home and put in our freezer :( I won't be back to this place.

Great service and experience! Place was clean and the staff was friendly. I went with my wife and son and had two ice creams and a milkshake. Everything was delicious.

Literally the slowest marble slab ever. My husband and I have come here several times because we live nearby, and every single time, we've had to wait 10 minutes or more, with usually only one other person in line in front of us. There is almost always a second person in the back room doing nothing or on their phone. And they don't seem very apologetic about it at all. We will be making a point to go to the next closest ice cream shop next time we want ice cream.

This is an older and smaller Marble Slab . Just as good but needs more staff .

Worst service ever !I came in to get ice cream and both employees told me it s too cold to get ice cream .The snow cone they gave me was very very expired could not even eat my ice cream worst part they did not even care .So sad they could not even give me a manager number just spent my money for nothing !

Vivoli in Florence Italy is pretty good. Fiocco di Neve was supreme... Walked 2 miles for the last one.

This one could be a great deal better for the price IMO. Use fresh local fruit... Go for natural mangoes. Try all natural not synthesized in a vat using "natural"chemicals from a flavor chemist. Bask n robbers was better.

Bathroom is disgusting! Service is horrible..owner/manager is non existant. We waiting in line behind 4 people and it took 25 minutes meanwhile the worker walked outside in her uniform to talk to her friend . I just don't trust that the ice cream is going to be good when the place looks so dirty.

Marble Slab was easy to work with to order a birthday cake for my son. Yolanda worked with my schedule - as I needed the cake a little earlier than anticipated. The cake was delicious and every single bite was eaten....my only regret was not getting a bigger cake! I would gladly have had leftovers from that! :)

The ice cream isn't bad, but the service is soooooo slow. If there is a line be prepared to wait a solid 15 minutes.

My wife and I were passing time with our son, looking for a nearby yogurt or ice cream shop when I found this on Google Maps. "How could an ice cream shop get 3 star reviews?" I asked aloud. Upon arriving, we immediately started to understand why. The place was HOT inside!! Not only was it not what was to be expected for an ice cream shop, but it was also dilapidated. The person working emerged from the back room as if they were hosting a poker game and didn't want to be disturbed. After placing the ice cream on the "marble slab", it immediately started to melt. I'm familiar with these shops and know that the counter surface promotes freezing, keeping the ice cream cold as they work the ingredients, that was unexpected. As soon as she handed my son the ice cream cone, it was already dripping. By the time we walked to Starbucks (3 doors down), he was a chocolate mess! The napkin holders were stocked only on one side, the side facing the register, she had to flip them around so I could get some (like they forgot to do this when they opened at the start of the day hours before). As soon as we were handed our change, she returned to her poker game. Never had I imagined you COULD have a negative experience getting ice cream. They take no pride in their service or their product. Avoid this place and drive a little further to the next one, trust the negative reviews.

Customer service was good and they moved the line through very quickly. It wasn't the newest one I've ever been too and could use some updating. As such, it also wasn't the cleanest I've ever seen. While I would go back, it might not be my first choice.

this location didn t have the cones they advertised, nor the children s sized cups. the service was very slow too. the woman working was moving as if she were at her home being casual...when there was a line. i will not be going back to this location of marble slab. a huge let down. i ve never experienced either of these issues at other locations.

I only gave it one star because I had to in order to leave a review! I entered the store with my toddler son and and mother where the cashier was helping another customer. I told the customer to take her time as we were in no rush because we were undecided on which ice cream we wanted. After asking the cashier prices we decided that we wouldn't purchase anything as the prices were a bit expensive and we just wanted something small for my one year old son as we waited for the bus, after realizing we weren't ordering anything the lady sarcastically stated "if your waiting on the bus we needed to be at the stop and that the bus wouldn't pick us up from inside the store" After informing the lady that we we're aware of where the bus picks us up and also what time it comes she began to argue with us telling us that "God" see's everything. I have never been so offended in my life. I do not understand why religion was brought up in the conversation. I'm not really sure if she was calling us liars or what. After going back and forth with the lady (whom could speak very little English) I asked for a manager, she replied "I am the manager" I then asked her is there a complaint hotline number and she told me "I can't give you the number". And that "I could find it myself". I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN AND ITS 5 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. After getting home and pulling up the store on Google I should have known better than to go because the reviews sucked and pretty much the same complaints.

12/8/2017 I waited for a while before received help it wasn't anyone in there but me I think because of the area that it located in. That's why it's still open it has a old smell .. it needs to be updated and the ice cream needs to be updated, and the temperature really needs to be verified and checked.. Vanilla didn't look like vanilla. Over all the lady was nice to me.

because this says they close at 1 am but they actually close at 12 am. an employee was very rude. all i did was get out of the car and he said "your not coming in. we are closed." in a rude tone. I have no problems with the fact that they were closed and would've explained google says they close at 1 so maybe he can fix it and get less people like me trying to get icecream past 12 am. but no. he had to say rude things then go in before I could say anything
