Absolutely disgraceful!!! No one get these taxys again please they are rip of I just got a taxy from town to Salford and normally it's 9-10 pounds but he wanted 15 I just had a tenner that's it and he tried to threaten me about he will bang me out when am only a kid (the taxy number is 616) don't get these taxy please !!!and plus they can't drive they drive so slow so they can get more money !!!!!

Really, really poor. Booked taxi for 7.30. 7.40 nothing. Call and they says it's on its way. 7.50 nothing. Call and they say they will call the cab and call me back. 7.55, they say they can't get hold of the cab. Jesus, this is supposed to be the best black cab service in Manchester. Absolute rubbish!

Called them to pick up my disable grandmother and they said 10 minutes but kept on lying for an hour rung back just to be told that have no taxis available by rude operator could not even offer courtesy of call back rather than making us wait over an hour. After telling him my car is too small for wheelchair for them to be considerate he called and said there is one less than a mile away but that was also a lie because it never came. Shocking I wouldn't even call them a service so please avoid them.

Always late. Never a reason. Often just Cancel without notice. Make you feel guilty for giving them the job because its not in the centre of town where the money is.

Well first off, my friends and I were being shouted out by the taxi man over the phone. And when we tried to explain that we haven't been to Manchester before, he raised his voice further and was completely unhelpful. However, we made our way with a different taxi company. I do not recommend this taxi company at all.

I am a 22 year old woman who is NOT from Mancheste...

I am a 22 year old woman who is NOT from Manchester, and I have never been out in Manchester before. I went out with a group of girls from work who all come from Manchester meaning I was the only one going back to the train station. I was not very drunk (luckily) otherwise I don't know how i would have got home as this taxi service is appalling! I called for a taxi just before 10pm so that I had plenty of time to catch my train (22:45pm train). I told the Taxi where i was, which was at a pub in Deansgate and was told it would be there in a few seconds, so i waited outside whilst the girls i was with moved on to the next place. I was stood there for a good 20 minutes when the taxi rang and said it was outside...IT WAS NOT AS I WAS STOOD THERE! i told the driver this and was hung up on. I then rang the company and was told he said he was there but wasnt as i had been outside the whole time, i was told another one would be sent shortly and i described exactly where i was stood and the buildings around, so was told they knew where i was. The 2nd taxi again did not turn up and did not bother to contact me, although I was still constantly standing outside. (BY this point ...being the hottest day of the year... i was now alone in a thunder storm) I quickly rang the company again knowing it was getting closer to my train, and was told a third would come and look but they "couldnt find me". Eventually after the 3rd time the driver rang me and told me he had been sent to the wrong place, and to ring again and they will send another to the right place. I did this and the woman told me there was "NO WAY SHE WAS GONNA SEND ANOTHER TAXI AS I WASNT THERE" which i explained i am not from Manchester and i had told them several times where i was... we ended up abit of back and forth arguing and i eventually said i would ring another service. at which time i did so and straight away upon giving the same address to this taxi as the other, it was there within minutes....DO NOT USE THIS TAXI FIRM!!! i missed my train and was a vulnerable young woman who was told she wasnt getting a taxi at 11 at night in the middle of deansgate... Rude, unhelpful and incompetent taxi firm!!! I would recommend Street cars instead any day! when i was sent a taxi by them they were unbelievably helpful!

Rang today at 9 to pre order at taxi for 1 for my disabled mother who is in a wheelchair, she has a really important appointment today an cannot miss it. Rang at 11 to check a taxi was in place an was told by a really rude old lady that she couldnt tell me that as they hadnt assigned one to me, to which i aksed when they were gonna assign on an she replied we dont we just wait till one an see if theres one available...... Do they have any idea how pre booking works? I need a taxi for one i dont need to be waiting around at one! They need shutting down there a load of s**t

My husband is disabled and uses a mobility scooter. We booked a taxi to Bridgewater Hall from the Radisson for a concert. They were on time and the driver went far out of his way to help my (very heavy) husband get into the cab. He was waiting for us when we came out of the concert. What joy to have this service. The driver's help really made my evening. Many thanks.

This taxi service is a sham! We ordered a wheelchair accessible taxi three hours in advance and as we waited and the departure time passed I called and was told that our taxi was not covered, they only dispatch 10 minutes before (even though the taxi was booked 3 hours earlier) and as the taxi drivers were self employed they could refuse fares. They could not give me a time a taxi would possibly arrive at which point we gave up and ordered from another firm. Do not use this firm unless you want to be let down!!

Very poor, pre booked a taxi 12 days in advance, yes 12. Needed one suitable for wheelchair. Never arrived. When I contacted them controller couldn t give a toss. Said trying to get one. They had, had 12 days. Incompetent, useless comes to mind. I have given 1 star only because no option to give minus. Will never ever use again. I urge everyone to find alternative save a lot of stress and frustration.

I booked taxi at 14:30 for my brother who needs wheelchair access to go to his appointment. It was for 3 clock so I booked it advanced but still the cab have not arrived I waited half an hour for a cab still did not arrived so I called the mantax office then a lady said it will be a delay due short of driver. so I don't get it if is gonna be delay why they took booking or didn't let us know that it will be delay form the first moment so unhappy. Its really poor service and all the driver are rude.

I just wanted to pass you a review of the excellen...

I just wanted to pass you a review of the excellent taxi driver I used twice this weekend.

His name is Guljar Singh. He was the first taxi available at Manchester T3 on Saturday morning and was very helpful and really polite. It was a pleasure to be in the cab with him, so much so I asked if he was available for the return trip within 10 minutes of the journey from the airport.

He was a considerate road user and friendly and chatty driver. It really started my weekend off in Manchester in a great way. For the return trip I arrived at the agreed meeting point a few minutes early and he was already there ready to go. Lovely guy and I would definitely recommend him to anyone going to your city.

Joke I booked a taxi at 7am to arrive at 9am waited outside as I was due at a family matter court, I called back at 5 past 9 to get told there was no taxis available and no one felt the need to call and tell me this AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED 100% AVOID

I have a Dad who is disabled. We have ordered a taxi told it will be there in 10miny dad in a wheelchair waited 40 min. After 40 min driver calledand asked if we still need him! We tried to contact the booking office but noone answered for 40min! Will never use this company again.

Being in a rush to get somewhere is one thing but cutting across the busy motorway carriageway from the outside lane to the inside lane is dangerous. This is what the driver HV621 did on the morning of 3/8/15. Better to get to your destination 25 minutes late than get to heaven 25 years early!

Massive thank you to Mantrax for helping me out of...

Massive thank you to Mantrax for helping me out of a sticky situation this morning. I was stuck in Harbour City with my bike that was un-ridable and needed to get home to Radcliffe. Mantrax were the only company able to accommodate me. The phone operator was quick and helpful and the driver called me to confirm the pickup point several minutes later. Taxi arrived in less than 10 minutes. Would highly recommend for those stuck with bikes!

Shocking and disgusting service. I am a support worker and look after 4 ladies with learning disabilities and are fixed wheelchair users. Mantax are the only company that have cars to accomodate the larger wheelchairs in the area. I have rang as much as 48hrs in advance to book a taxi and been told the time I wanted is a busy time ... yes thats why im ringing 2 days in advance! I have explained there is not another firm I can use so what more can i do to secure a booking, how about if i ring up 1 week before? The reply i got was we are busy at that time and the town centre fares are priority as they are based in town. Disgusting and shocking like i said!

I have used them several times but will no longer do. They are very unreliable and their dispatch system is chaos. Several times I booked a taxi for a given time hours in advance and they are always late or even very late. So if you are going to the airport or the train station you may end up missing your flight or train as it happened to me. Worst black cabs I have experienced in the UK.

After hearing their constant adverts on the radio,...

After hearing their constant adverts on the radio, and with the promise of a discount off the first journey booked via their App I thought I would book with Mantax. It was the worst decision that I've made this week.

1./ I booked the taxi for 7pm, so i could be at the Manchester apollo by 7:30. It arrived at 7:15, making me very late.

2./ The quote i was provided with was not accurate.

3./ Upon arrival at my destination I asked the taxi driver if he had applied the discount code. He initially tried to fob me off with an explanation that it was not valid as I had not printed out a voucher code. I referred the driver to the terms and conditions of the discount code, telling him that this was not explained in the terms and conditions. After a few more minutes of him trying to lie to me I persuaded him to speak to a supervisor at the offices who may know more and confirm that the booking was placed using the discount code. The lady that the driver spoke to was none the wiser and didn't know what to do. The taxi driver was then reluctant to give us the discount as he didn't believe that he would be reimbursed for the money.

Eventually, after 10 minutes of sitting outside the Apollo we were able to leave the taxi.

I wouldn't recommend Mantax to anyone

Terrible Company. Ordered taxi for my disabled brother to attend an important meeting in Manchester. Taxi didn't turn up. When i contacted Mantax to see where taxi was the lady said they can't send anyone as none of the drivers wants to take the job (I booked this taxi in advance two days earlier!). Never use this company as totally unreliable.

Ordered a minibus 5 passengers plus cases going to...

Ordered a minibus 5 passengers plus cases going to airport at 4.45 am
Taxi did not arrive by 4.50 am phoned up and was told no minibuses available 2 cars on the way and we will have to pay for 2 cars.
Cancelled and took a Black Cab.
Will not recommend or be using this firm again.

Called and advised that i needed a cab to take my elderly aunty to the airport. The booking was accepted for the cab to arrive at 08:15hrs. At 08:30hrs the cab hadn't arrived, they never called to advise to of the delay. Poor response from the receptionist. Not impressed with the overall customer service. Cancelled the booking and called a local firm

Awkward over the phone to say the least. It s like they don t want the hassle of people s business! The TfL regulations (for all black cabs nation wide) say dogs are allowed in black cabs. They have to take guide dogs, but all dogs are allowed. So I was told over the phone, trying to book for a taxi 48 hours in advance, that they only take small dogs. Yet they HAVE to take guide dogs. My dog is a Labrador. 99% of guide dogs are labradors. So the difference is?! He s not muddy, he won t need to be in a cage to go to the station - WHATS THE ISSUE? They said they couldn t guarantee a driver would take him. But they ll take a small dog. I m baffled as to what the difference could possibly be between having a small or big dog on the floor of the cab for a 15 minute journey. He s toilet trained very obedient and friendly, size doesn t make a difference! Baffled....

Excellent service, would definitely use again. Reasonable prices and arrived promptly at the pickup. After being dropped off at the station I realised I had left my mobile in the cab, it was returned to me within 5 minutes.

Booked online as I have around 10 times before. It says all taxis accept card on the website. I get a phone call telling me that I can't pay by card and they hang up on me before I can say anything else. Checked online and they've cancelled my booking without telling me. Don't bother, use another company.

Mantax are the firm for the company I work for and...

Mantax are the firm for the company I work for and therefore I use them to take me to the airport and back every week. They are useless... Constantly making me wait due to their drivers picking fares that pay them more, regardless of who booked first. Awful customer service and usually need to phone up at least three times to get a taxi to show.
