Methodist Mansfield is great! A week ago I went to the ER for assistance and from the moment I entered, until I left, I felt I was being given the best care and consideration possible. I was a little surprised since I don't have health insurance, and I have visited other hospitals who treat you like you are stealing when you ask for assistance. MMMC did not make me feel that way. I felt as though my care was most important.

This is a great hospital to get some SERIOUS CARE from. My wife was going through some problems and the doctor and the nursing staff kept her in the hospital for three days because they didn't want her to go home without a diagnosis. If you are sick or having any problems with your body I would advise you to go to them. I love y'all so much Shmyron and Ebony (Benford) Walker.

Don't go here if you or your family member has to have a brand-name medication. Apparently they don't use ANY brand names and don't care that you told them numerous times that the generic doesn't work for this patient, the patient's regular doctor has said brand name only, AND you give them paperwork that states the patient is currently taking brand name only. Also asked the nurse, specifically, TWICE, if they were giving brand name and the answer was yes. Turns out they weren't...in epilepsy medicine, it makes a huge difference. They are now insisting on discharging the patient (because they "fixed" the problem he was admitted for) despite the fact that (due to wrong medication) he is now having 7-8 seizures per hour. Thanks Mansfield Methodist, for CREATING a new problem, and dumping it on the caregiver at home.

My parents are both patients here and today my sister witnessed Hospitalist Dr. Minna talk rudely to my dad. There is also a tech named Issiah who has been mean. As she was going to see my mom she had a nurse or tech named Mike addressed my dad as Grumpy. WTH does that so very unprofessional. She then walks into the room to see my mom arm sitting on a bloody pillow. I have worked for 3 different hospitals and never seen such horrible service. Unfortunately we didn't have a choice my parents were transferred here from Ennis Regional Hospital due to being positive for Covid.

If I ever have to be admitted to the hospital again, I would definitely return to Methodist Mansfield. The only negative experience was the time it took to get admitted to a room from the ER. The staff, including doctors, nurses, and aides were very caring. There were times when they could have used more aides on shift; but when an aide was unavailable, a nurse would answer the call. The whole experience was as agreeable as possible.

This is the WORSE hospital. It's so sad that when you really sick you can't go to an emergency room and be seen. The overall experience has been horrible. People have gotten up sick and left. We are back here because they screwed up a surgery my husband had here in the first place. Bad business.

Every time i went there i had a good experience except ONCE. That one time i had full blown gout on both hips, ankles and feet. I was in excruciating pain. I felt like no one cared that one night. But, i have been there a few time before that and i was always treated well. God bless these people who take the time to learn so they can care for others, like hospital folks.

I will start out by saying that my negative view o...

I will start out by saying that my negative view of this health system falls directly on the ineptitude of its billing department. I was referred to Methodist Health system for physical therapy in July of 2018, to which I will say the providers were competent, however there was little they could do beyond what I had already received treatment for. Roughly 3 months after my first visit I started receiving bills and calls regarding an outstanding payment. I spoke with several different people and despite providing them with all pertinent information, and being told multiple times they would handle the case and close it out the calls and bills continued. Roughly six months ago it was discovered by someone in their collection department that they had billed the VA incorrectly for the visit and that is why it kept getting denied by the VA. Again I was told they would correct the issue and close the case. However forward to now and multiple calls including a few that were practically threatening me, the issue continues.

Update from post four months ago. Despite contacting their patient liaison office and confirming everything on my records about how they messed up the billing and need to fix it, I received a nice bill this afternoon from one of their collection agencies. I have no doubt this will damage my credit rating, so thanks Methodist Mansfield for not only causing me undo stress and grief but you have probably severely damaged my credit rating through your incompetence. I'm honestly at a lost of what to do now and feel legal action may be my only recourse. I would say that if this Hospital system is your last choice between living or death, you might as well choose death, as there billing department will ensure your life is a living hell.

I want to preface this by saying that I have been a patient in this hospital within the past year, and have also been with my mom when she was a patient, and the staff was amazing!! We had great experiences both times. However, this review is centered around the ER staff, primarily one doctor.

On 11/7, we took my son into the ER because he had developed a rash that was quickly spreading and getting worse as well as had a high fever. We felt that we needed to get him treatment immediately rather than waiting for his pediatrician's office to open. The ER doctor spent maybe 5 minutes with us and most of that was getting his medical history. He listened to my son's breathing, and then left to go call his pediatrician. He came back about 10-15 minutes later and said that he felt that this was an allergic reaction to some cough meds we had given him the night before, and that our pediatrician agreed. The plan was to send him home with an antibiotic for the cold and a steroid for the rash. The next morning, the rash had gotten worse than it was the day before, and the fever was coming back so we decided to go ahead and get him into his pediatrician. Unfortunately, our pediatrician was out that day, but we had another doctor in the practice look at him and she was wonderful. She spent over an hour with us examining my son, listening to our concerns, and, finally, gave us a diagnosis for his rash/fever/coughing. The diagnosis given was completely different from what the ER doctor gave us. I feel as though the ER doctor wanted to get us in and out quickly for whatever reason, and had he taken the time to actually examine my son and the rash/fever/coughing, he would've come to another conclusion outside of an allergic reaction, and we might not have had to waste a morning taking my son back to the pediatrician.

Went to the ER with my wife who was in a car accident and was 32 weeks pregnant. Took 45 mins to get upstairs to Labor and Delivery. Took another 30 mins for the Dr. to come by and at that point i was furious because this entire time. NO ONE CHECKED ON THE BABIES HEART!. the ER is terrible and slow and does not know procedure for Fetal Care. This hospital should be thankful my daughter didn't have any complications due to the lack of there work.

Babies birth while waiting the time period at the hospital after C-Section we had mixed feelings about the nurses the Charge Nurse on our last day smelled like Cigarette smoke I did not allow her to touch my newborn. There should be a requirement if you smoke you cant work with babies.

Mansfield Methodist provided $10 physicals and echocardiograms for MISD students today. Every single person we encountered (which were dozens) was so friendly and helpful. The process was smooth and went quickly. I think it's awesome the hospital does this for the kiddos! We will definitely be back next year!

Was taken by ambulance to the ER. They took blood and ran some tests. My nurse said when I was ready to give a urine sample, buzz her. I did. She walked in and said, what do you want? Told her I was ready, but I may need some help getting out of the bed. She replied, do you normally walk to the restroom when you need to go? I said yes, but I was brought here not able to walk. She stood there watching me struggle to lift myself out of bed and struggle to get to the restroom 6 feet away. I fell, asked for help and she said you are fine. She did not help. She kept saying, hold on to the wall. My daughter arrived. The nurse came back in after I buzzed her. I told her I have my insurance card now, my daughter brought my purse. The nurse asked have you had it the entire time your daughter was here? I said yes, she got here 10 minutes ago. Then I buzzed you to let you know. She rolled her eyes, sighed, opened the door and rudely yelled REGISTRATION for the registration girl.
I understand working in the ER is a very stressful environment. There is no need for this kind of behavior. This nurse should reconsider her career and not be dealing with people, period.

My mother is in there, very ill and the nurses are very caring, the doctors, respiratory therapists, everyone with whom she comes into contact seem to care & I have been greatly pleased with the support she receives from all staff. Thank you so much for a job well done from everyone there, not just doctors and nurses, but phlebotomist, waitstaff, custodians, technicians and maintenance. Thanks to all of you!

No one enjoys being ill, it's never a pleasant experience, but the staff at Methodist Mansfield did all they could to not only find the cause of my illness but also make me comfortable while they did their jobs.

The nurses from the ER and the 4th Floor were fantastic. All the aides were incredible and not one time did I feel as though my well-being was not at the top of their concern list.

I will clarify that the night I was transported to the ER they were very slow as in the past my family members have had to wait anywhere from 4-6 hours before being seen. My experience was different for two reasons, one I was brought in via ambulance and two as stated, they were very slow that evening. Regardless my care in the ER was first-class.

After admission I spent three days in the facility which while not fun, I definitely felt cared for on every level. I have nothing negative to say about my stay at MM.

It breaks my heart to read all the other reviews from individuals that did not experience this same type of care. Working in the healthcare industry myself I know that taking care of others is one of the most challenging but definitely most rewarding jobs there could be. I hope that MM pays careful attention to the words of their dissatisfied patients for they are what pay the bills and make choices with their feet by going elsewhere for care if not treated appropriately.

Thank you so much for the care I received while inpatient at your facility. It made a very difficult time in my life much easier.

They don't care about shekh. Imam Shakib Although he was not well. The doctor does not treat his patients and the nurse well. It is your job to give the patient food and carry out preventive check so that you know that the patient is in good or bad condition. So I want to say that you don't have the right to behave like this to your patients. You have the right to live no matter whether your condition is very bad and will not live long, that does not mean you can behave like this. I am ashamed of you good doctor drawing nurse. I ask you to change this behavior and take better care of your patients. If their life is not so important to you because they have people who are very valuable. Please take this seriously

Best hospital in the DFW area! Took my mom to the ER this afternoon and the physicians, nurses, and staff were phenomenal. Dr. Coffman and Dr. Kandel were the best! Jesse, Brooke, JR, and Madison were so kind, courteous and knowledgeable. They answered all my moms questions and made her feel like a real VIP! Recommend this hospital to every one who needs medical attention. You will be taken care of quickly and professionally.

If you have an emergency stay away from this hospital. I arrived on sunday with very very heavy bleeding due to miscarriage and they left me with chronic pain the whole time I was there and sent me to my house with the pain and ghastly bleeding. According to their diagnosis I didn't need a curettage. The next day in the OB clinic, almost fainted and unable to get up from the dizziness, they performed a curettage to stop the bleeding because something was encased in my womb. (that was what they had to do in the emergency). Of course the bill came as if they saved my life when in reality they were letting me bleed to death

I have not been provided with test results other then blood work, taken 4 days ago from my hospital visit. Very disappointed with this hospital.

I have been coming to this hospital since it opened. It use to have great doctors and nurses and customer service was awesome. We it's been 2 yrs since I've been here and now it's a nightmare. I was seen in ER on yesterday- 12/23 treated and dismissed. I had a serious infection in which they are familiar with. I was given 1 IV antibiotic and was given a prescription in which I was unformed was a very strong med. Pharmacy was cIosed so I had to wait til today- Christmas Eve-to get it filled. Got to the pharmacy and that prescription was $2600. Not covered too expensive. Went back to ER to inform doctor about the cost. The nurse brought out the expensive one with 2 others. The nurse hands me a Good Rx card to use with $2600 med and told me if that didn't work to have other 2 prescription filled. When the nurse handed me new prescription, I told him that I thought I was allergic to that med and he said well if you were computer would have stopped doctor from printing it. It's Christmas Eve and pharmacy closes early. I get to pharmacy and she couldn't fill due to being allergic to it. I went back to ER for 2nd time and told nurse I wanted an IV antibiotic, but she said if not necessary then i will have to just wait on doctor. He gave me another prescription just before pharmacy closed.WOULD NOT TAKE MY ANIMAL TO THIS HOSPITAL. PLEASE DON'T GIVE ME GENERIC RESPONSE.

Every time my husband, children or self has had to come to the emergency we alway have came to Methodist Mansfield 25 minutes from our home. On day 3/20/2021 the service has been extremely horrible the nurse at the nurses station never sent my husband assign nurse when I called and on top of that when I ask she would hang up without give me any form of response.
When I asked for my husband some more blankets the assigned nurse told me oh u can just them from the heating machine where they keep the blankets warm. The assigned nurse also said she would bring meds in for the pain it has literally been 35minutes and she still hasn t showed. She always left the 3 tubes of blood in the room, what was the point of taking his blood if she was going to leave them in the room. I won t get into wait time just know it was poor as well as their service.

We have sat in this waiting room with my elderly mother who is barely breathing and has COVID symptoms for over 3 hours now. I ve never experienced anything like this before. People are coming and going like this is Target, yet here we sit. Super disappointed in the care, if she does have COVID I m sure she has infected the 53 other people who have come and gone while we wait here.

I was a patient in Methodist Mansfield in July 2019. Stayed about a week before being transferred to Richardson for an operation. Stark difference between the Methodist Mansfield and Methodist, like night and day. While half of the nurses in Mansfield were very cold and uncaring, all of them in Richardson were warm and caring. While trying to insert a PICC line on my right bicep, a nerve got damaged somewhere in my arm. Right away I felt my thumb and index finger go numb. I complained right away but it took a couple of days for another technician to finally move the PICC line to my left bicep. About a couple of months after this incident when I had somewhat recovered from surgery I went back to the ER to have my thumb and index looked at. I found it ironic that they charged me to look at a damage that occurred while I was in their care. I was advised to call and speak to their Risk Management which I did. Risk Management took my information and promised to call me back but it's been about 9 months now and they haven't called back. The only calls I get are the incessant ones from Collections. I wish Risk management would call with the same gusto. My fingers are better but I still feel the numbness especially when working on the computer which my job requires a 100%. I've learned to do a lot of things with my left hand. I don't have a problem with the Methodist system. Methodist Richardson was great to me. Just have a problem with Methodist Mansfield.

Lack of communication with staff and patient. Nurses don't show any compassion to the patient or family. They are working for a paycheck only not because they love their job. There was one great nurse in the recovery room who took care of my husband after his surgery. Her name is Tina. Best nurse ever. Thank u Tina. And thank u Dr. SAYA u were wonderful too.

Methodist Mansfield is a fantastic hospital, filled with caring staff that is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. The hospital, being private, is not cheap even when compared to other providers. However, their care is definitely top-notch, had nothing but a positive experience here. Thank you to all the healthcare workers working here during this pandemic.

The nursing staff of the hospital is outstanding--once you get past the registration. The registration is torturous for one who is in pain and can't stand for long periods of time. Most doctor's offices have some kind of sign-in that makes it possible to sit-down and wait until the they can talk to you, but not Methodist Mansfield. They make you stand --in pain-- in line and stand at the desk while their staff slowly wends its way through their paper work. They feel that another kind of check-in system makes patients fell like a number. It is much better for them to be in pain standing in front of them. My advice, always go through emergency. Never go through their registration, if you have to be registered-- go somewhere else.

Profits First, Patients Last! I recommend finding another hospital if you can. If your provider is Aetna it is not recommended and it will cost you.

UPDATE: I have since updated my review because the Team at Methodist Hospital Mansfield went out of their way to make sure my issues were resolved. I am very impressed! Actual patient care was never an issue.

Update: Well, gave Methodist another shot and ended with a $3000 migraine. I know medical is expensive but also need to know when there is an issue with insurance so that I can resolve. Really, if you go to this hospital just expect a billing nightmare. Fortunately there are several hospitals in the area to choose from.

Worst Hospital ever!!! They are heartless, careless and do not know at all what they are doing... This the one in Dallas (both) are horrible. You go in with a minor injury and death is upon you suddenly. I would never recommend anyone here! If I'm ever unconscious, I hope I wake up enough to beg anyone not to please take me there! They do not care about anyone.

I am SO appreciative of the medical team here. I cut myself pretty bad while trying to reach for a wine glass. I was bleeding really really bad. My clothes were messy with blood, I looked a mess. But the team didn t mind; they took really good care of me!

They gave me an extra dose of anesthesia to numb my finger. They were really patient and friendly.
Most thanks to DR. Robert Garcia, he was so patient, interactive and understanding. Despite my numerous complaints, fears and worries. He made me feel at ease and he treated my finger well. God bless him and the whole medical team!

I was greeted by a friendly staff. There wasn t an extremely long wait. My nurse Mickey was the best ever!!!!
My fears were dashed. I felt better soon after the IV. The Dr was thorough and personable. He answered all my questions and made me feel informed.
I will go to Methodist Mansfield from now on for all me medical needs. Excellent service guys!! Keep up the good work!!!!

My rating is NOT about the medical staff. I work for a food delivery company and occasionally we delivery arrangements. I had 2 deliveries at the same time, one was an arrangement for someone at the hospital another was food for a person somewhere else. We deliver our orders in the order in which we receive them, the arrangement was first. So I went to the hospital to drop it off, with my next order in the car. I go in and ask for the department that I am supposed to deliver to. I was given the wrong directions about 3 times and was sent all over the hospital looking to deliver the arrangement to the correct person. I was finally helped by someone who doesn't work at the circulation desk and in a completely different department about 20 min later. Meanwhile my next order is still in my car. I was beyond frustrated.

Came in to ER at 2 am with severe upper abdominal, back and chest pain. Was transferred to L&D because I am 24 weeks pregnant. Was in a room for a total of almost 7 hours, all they did was check my cervix and BP, monitor babies heartbeat and give me a GI cocktail. I was checked on maybe twice in the 7 hours I was there. No fluids, ultrasounds or blood work done. Dr. Bruno came in for less than 5 minutes, I explained my symptoms and he was more worried about getting babies heartbeat (cool, that was fine but nurse already had me hooked up and we established baby was fine and that wasn t why I was there to be checked out in the first place). That s all I saw of him. Took them 2 hours to get me a GI cocktail, after taking it I kept telling them I was still in a lot of pain, my BP was high from being in so much pain and they did nothing. Nurse came in at 8am and said Dr.Bruno was discharging me (Without coming in to the room to talk with me, maybe see if my symptoms had improved or to even let me know what my diagnosis was) . I told the nurse I was still in extreme pain, the GI cocktail wasn t working and asked if they could run tests to figure out why I was still hurting. She looked me dead in the eyes, shrugged her shoulders and said maybe you ate something within the last few days that s upsetting your stomach , I instantly started crying, they did nothing for me, she couldn t even tell me what my diagnosis was when I asked. She unhooked me from the machines, told me to get dressed and have a nice day. The L&D triage has the WORST bedside manner I have ever experienced and am unfortunately now second guessing if I would like to deliver my child here in January. I unfortunately had to come back that same day at 5pm because I was in so much pain, I was feeling like I was going to pass out. The ER saw me this time and all 3 nurses were SHOCKED that nothing was done during my first visit, especially considering the chest pain I was having and my BP was 161/89. Come to find out I was having all this pain from a severe gallbladder infection. I am now taking 4 different medications, and will need my gallbladder taken out shortly after baby comes. I was in the ER for 4 hours, and despite them being packed and over worked that night all the nurses and 2 doctors did everything they could for me to find answers to my pain and to help me feel better. So thank you Mansfield Methodist L&D for costing me a SECOND trip to the hospital, and forcing me to take on a SECOND large hospital bill that I honestly couldn t afford in the first place. The lack of bedside manner, patient etiquette and honestly just doing your job correctly in the first place by Dr.Bruno and the night nurses that night were disgusting. I d like a patient advocate to contact me ASAP, as I have made several phone and left voicemails and no one has contacted me back.

My two stars are for some the doctors and nurses on A5, Techs and other staff that was great!
The ER doctors and nurses are very unprofessional I understand everyone is stressed and terrified due to the pandemic! But there is no way patients should be treated bad! I ve been admitted here 3 times with terrible pneumonia possibly covid with the positive and negative testing! Which is very confusing with the false positives and negative testing happening! I haven t been able to recover it s been 3 months! The pneumonia still hasn t cleared up and nothing was done about it during my third admission just a lot of testing & pain killers! My last admission was the worse when it was time for me to be discharged the nurse and the on call doctor kept coming in my room asking when will my husband arrive I stated to them he s working and will be there within two hours! He was running 30 mins behind! So the staff decided to call the police along with the Maryann who was very aggressive demanding I leave since I ve been discharged the police officer asked her to please leave the room so we can talk he asked me to call my husband again my husband stated he was on the way! I m in shock that a patient that has spent thousands of dollars in healthcare to this hospital would be treated this way! Not to mention what type of professional environment would do such thing to an already ill patient that s fighting for there life! I m in disbelief I call several times to complain no response! At this point I m starting to believe that this hospital really doesn t care about Black Lives!

I gave birth to my baby here and my experience was far from pleasant. I had to wait 4 hours for the anesthesiologist to receive an epidural. My baby was ready to come out and the doctor had left so their was no one to deliver my baby! I ended up having to wait about 45 minutes for the other doctor to get their. The nurses where very helpful and where helping me hold the baby in. One of the nurse was nervous and said she loved her job but was not delivering a baby, and I completely understood her it was not her job to do so she helped in me in what she could. Overall the nurses where great and it was not their fault that their was no doctor to deliver my baby. When the doctor that delivered my baby got their she was prompt and got ready super fast, she was also friendly and nice! I had my mind setup on breastfeeding but was in pain while doing so and my baby was latched on most of the time so I knew something was wrong, I called the lactation consultant and she said it was normal and didn't bother checking her latch she said she would be back but never came back. I called again and a different lady came and apologized for taking a long time but that she was working with someone else. She was in a rush said to lay down and try feeding her like that... and that she would check back with me in an hour and the same thing as the other lactation consultant she never came back! And once again a nurse came to help me in what she could due to the lactation consultants not doing anything, she provided cream for me and tried to give me tips and offered formula but that was not the way I wanted to go. My baby ended up droping more weight than she was supposed to once we got home because she was not eating well I contacted a lactation consultant outside of the hospital and it turned out we had a bad latch and needed a nipple shield and my baby needed to go with a body worker due to baby issues. By this time I had blisters in both my nipples so the pain was horrible! Had the forst two lactation consultants at the hospital done their job so much could have been avoided. The nurses deserve 5 stars they did so much for me and I'm thankful that they where their and that they went above and beyond to try and help.

As nice as the hospital and people are a reputable hospital should not shut down just because it's a weekend.. An overnight observation promised Dr.s who never showed up and that day is almost gone.. No wonder Medicare costs so much. Awaiting results of morning tests should not take another overnight!!! Are any Doctors really there, or just on call when they feel like it?

To the night shift RN- Kim B and PCT- Ami thank you so much for taking such great care of me. Both of you deserve Daisy awards. You were both the most sweetest, kindest and most helpful in caring for me. I appreciate it greatly! Thank you for all that you did and continue to do! #B4077

I have had the best experience here! Everyone from the doctor, the various nurses, respiratory techs, patient care techs, and even the ladies handing out meals and tidying up the rooms were so nice to me. I would high recommend anyone coming to this hospital if they have the choice to do so. I've been here for four nights and leaving tomorrow and know it is because of the niceness of the workers here that made these four nights not so bad.

This is the worst experience I have ever had to deal with. My dr ordered stress test back in June. Lady called me I couldn t talk at the time because I was at work. I told her call me after 3:30 or I could call back. I had many calls that day so I did not have the number to call back. So I waited 2 weeks. Finally I went back to my dr got the number and called. Left message after message. So finally I spoke with someone, got it scheduled, but she told me no coffee 24 hrs before the test. I ask how much my part is she said billing would call me. Well yes they called got my ID insurance info and said they would call back. Well we are now on the night before test is to be done. I have called left messages because I need to know about my part I need to pay. Still no word. I also had other questions unable to speak with anyone but the operator. Not sure I should show up tomorrow because my health would be trusted to this hospital that I can t even get answer from.
Also I finally called my dr His office said no it s only 12 hrs no caffeine not 24.. I will never deal with this hospital again

I understand that ER's are busy places. Critical ...

I understand that ER's are busy places. Critical care patients take first priority, and then it goes based on severity of each patient. But this hospital's ER is absolutely ridiculous. I am the 5th generation of my family to call Mansfield home, and I am appalled at the inferior ER at our hospital. I went in, was rushed away to fill out a form, and "bring it back" when I had finished. Then I sat for about 30 minutes before being called back up to get a wrist bracelet. Then I sat for an hour and a half before being called to Triage. (I saw at least 3 people be taken back before me, that had come in well after me, and they were people that were sitting, and sometimes laughing and playing on phones, so not critical patients at all). In Triage, I was told I was on the "Fast Track" to see PA, and went back to the lobby. Sat there another 45 minutes, and finally just gave up. A girl with a broken arm had been there before I got there, and she was still sitting there when I left. As was a man who had a very large cut on his hand that obviously needed stitching. They were taking people back to do Xrays, and sending them back to lobby. Then they would take them back to do Labs and send them back to lobby. I saw only 2 go to actual rooms while I was there. It was absolutely sad. I will NOT be back, and I will be letting all of my friends and family know this experience, via Facebook. Shame Shame Shame on Methodist Mansfield Medical Center for not being better prepared. SHAME

At this point, the hospital has been great. Physician staff that is.

The billing department has much to be desired. That is if the person that calls me all day everyday, is an actual employee.

I've made arrangements. ...on auto draft... If it is a broken arrangement...send out a bill. Talk it over with your team members. Let them contact me to move forward. Anything other than call me all day everyday. That is harrassment...especially in these times.

Let me pay off one a d get to the other if it even exist
When making arrangements, I asked them to look for all balances.

Stop calling me lady...you know who you are.

I have been in the hospital for the last 4 nights....

I have been in the hospital for the last 4 nights. I was in 5 days inpatient as well less than a week ago. I have waited an average of 1.25 to 2 hours for a nurse to come into my room from the time I pressed the call light for assistance. I have talked to 2 charge nurses about the poor quality nursing service and 2 hour wait time when I was in an excruciating amount of pain. Charge nurses essentially told me "we're busy" ...
So, if you are in pain and in this hospital expect to wait at least an hour from the time you press the call light to the time a nurse actually comes to your room. Then, expect the nurse to ask you what is wrong and leave for another 30 minutes at least and then come back with your pain medicine or whatever else you may need. NO accountability. The only way to get to any kind of admin staff is to send an email to their patient rep email account and they will "investigate" the problem and get back to you.

I am, unfortunately, still an inpatient here as I enter this review. I have been waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes for a nurse to come into my room to give me some medicine to no avail. I used the call light and the nurse assigned to me for the night shift said she would be in "as soon as she could" and abruptly ended the call light conversation while I was still trying to explain what I needed. I am seated here with a dressing that is dirty and needs to be changed and an empty IV and in pain.

I hope I get a response from a charge nurse and that someone from the hospital admin will response to my multiple complaints, tweets and emails since my admission and subsequent horrible nursing service.

My plans are to contact the hospital system CEO, COO, etc. with regard to my poor experience here at Methodist Hospital Mansfield Texas but am aware that based upon the experience I have had thus far I may not received any kind of response. I will certainly avoid this facility in the future and never come back here if possible. I would NOT recommend this hospital to anyone due to their poor nursing staff.

The ER doctor not sure her name, but was an older lady..she was spose to be taking good care of my grandfather who is sick, but decides she wants to make political comments in front of him and my family that were inappropriate instead. Somthing about "a liar like are president and sounds like him" really? Your spose to be a professional and not do that in the workplace. Pure ignorance.

A couple other nurses i encountered here were just RUDE. Your job is to be a nurse and care for OTHERS not yourself. If its too much for you and you lack the patience and compassion then get out of that field of work. Also stop walking around like your the absolute smartest person in the room. Its so annoying.

This is spose to be a Christian hospital, it would have been great to encounter nicer people who are spose to be that way in this line of work.

Wonderful hospital! Staff is so sweet and caring. I had to have an emergency appendectomy and the doctors were very informative and the anesthesiologist was cracking jokes to make me feel better since this was my first ever surgery. I can't express how pleased I am with everyone who's helped me during my stay.

FRAUD!!!

FRAUD!!!
I am extremely disappointed in the billing department. A patient's bill should reflect the services received, no more or no less. I was hospitalized for 3 days yet my bill reflected that I was out patient in recovery for three days. This is after I directly ask if I was being admitted since I was not going home as planned and was told by the doctor I would be admitted. I was taken to the floor to a private room and my husband stayed with me the three days I was hospitalized. I was admitted due to complications involving urinary retention, anemia, and pain yet my bill did not reflect this at all!! I requested multiple reviews of the bill and was told yes it does seem you were actually on the floor in a private room receiving services but since it was not noted in an official order we can not fix it. This is fraud!!!! A patient's bill should reflect what services were received! If a patient is overbilled the services not received should be removed and if a patient has services that they actually received---well they should be added otherwise it is misleading and FRAUD! Because it is not financially to their benefit and the error was noted after billing, it is not something they want to fix. The reality though is that if a patient is in a private room receiving nursing services, lab, scheduled medications, pain medicine, etc this is an admission not recovery. Watch your bill closely when visiting this hospital!! And ask for errors to be fixed in real time or you will be screwed!!!!
This does not include the night nurse who was told multiple times that I was having abdominal pain and had not urinated in 8 hours with a continuous IV going and drinking fluids. She had to be told to check because I kept just sitting on the toilet with nothing coming out. When she fianally was able to check my bladder---- she did not know where my bladder was to check!!!??? She put the bladder scan wand on my stomach and said "see there's nothing---My husband had to tell her "Umm her bladder is down low" --Once she found my bladder she said"Oh I see that is too much". When she came back an hour later after calling the doctor she was told to place the catheter back in place. She came to my room with a latex catheter after being reminded that I would need latex free due to a severe allergy. She then took another 4 hours!!!! Before returning with a latex catheter!! At this point I was afraid to let her do anything as she did not seem to be in her comfort zone area and was unsure of what she was doing.

Horrible!!!! The worst experience I have ever gone through in my life. No one seems to know anything. My daughter just had a baby and they released her with her blood pressure extremely high, so she had to be readmitted the following day due to her blood pressure remaining high. Her OBGYN is useless. Dr. Daum. She's going from room to room because no one can tell us why she is hurting and feeling sick, bleeding clots and clots of blood, and giving her pain medication for whatever reason, they don't have a clue. This hospital is so unethical. As of now, they have not diagnosed or treated her for the problems she's having. She's losing a lot of blood, I pray they know the severity of that. I'm glad to be studying the Legal and Ethical aspect of Health Information because this has to stop. No one life should be put in danger, or a minor problem have become a life threatening problem, because of the carelessness and negligence of hospitals and there staff.

After a wait, got seen by the NP and got transferred to another hospital. Not very transparent about thier policy..got bills worth thousands of dollars as the ER physicians are out of network ( and we have a great insurance plan, we pay 850/month in premium)..so the hospital is in network but the doctors are not..and we were not told that in any tranparent manner...

Brought my father in with a stroke. They said he would have to see a speech therapist before he could eat or drink anything. 26 hours after arriving at the hospital, and we were still waiting on the speech person. The nurses were not willing to assist without being rude. We have been to many other hospitals in the area and this is by far the worst in so many ways. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone for any reason.

Was seen in the ER on 8/14/18 by a young physician's assistant (not even a real doctor) who spent about 5 minutes examining me and talking about my symptoms, before giving me a prescription for sinusitis. He saw me in an office room (I guess the patient rooms were all full). The physician's assistant went on to charge my insurance for $502 for that! Frankly I've never had a *real* doctor charge nearly that much for such a short exam.

Some time after I had been diagnosed and sent back to the waiting room, they called me back and put me in a room with a bed, where I waited there for a couple hours for... ...apparently no reason whatsoever! No nurse, doctor, or medical assistant came in to see me during that time, until finally a nurse came it, to tell me I could go. I can only assume this superfluous bedding was simply so they could charge my insurance even more.

Caveat Emptor, and god help you if you're a self-pay!

I have been to the ER for kidney problems both times. On Wednesday 11/13, I went in with pain that felt like I was having a baby. They ran a urine test that had leukocytes and blood in my urine, I had pain on both kidneys that were a 10+. The doctor saw me once, gave me an antibiotic that my doctor already had put me on and sent me home. I asked for imaging considering I had stones in my kidney and here I am 2 days later returning to another ER. I don't think I will ever go back there as much as I would love to do so because my Dr works for Methodist and like the fact she can see their records.

I will drive to Mexico to see a doctor before I return to this horrible hospital. I stood by my door for 2 hours waiting for my discharge papers. While the nurses and doctors were talking and laughing. My address was inputted wrong. So I never received my hospital bill and then I got a call from a collections agent. Thank you Mansfield Methodist. My hospital bills are ridiculous also the doctor bill $1000 that's not including the outrageous hospital bill. All the doctor did was check my heart rate and said one sentence to me. I didn't know doctors made $333 per minute. NEVER AGAIN.

Poorly organized. It took several days to diagnose my wife's West Nile & menengitis. Even when the results came back, her primary doctor quickly glanced at her chart and said the results were negative. Luckily her neurologist came by a bit later and took the time to read her chart. I would recommend the Arlington hospitals if you have a choice.
They do have the best breakfast burritos in the cafe, though. Definitely worth stopping for that.

After 30 days in this hospital I was released without any diagnoses, any form of rehabilitation and they spent the majority of time running test, that I have no idea what the results were. they also cut me on both the back and front within days but the back would later be called a biopsy without results then the front where they took my gallbladder trying to control nausea when that didn't work they said I was to blame and inducing ..after 30 days come on they were clueless and I am still waiting to see if that cancer they kept talking about was real. yes I would go elsewhere

This was the rudest most scandalous hospital ever. They were very rude to us when we got there. They discriminated against my family bc there are 2 moms and no dad. The nurse got all mad and left the room. And to top it off I left out of there with a CPS case for trying to help my baby with her hurt arm. I would never abuse my child and the dr. Said she knew it wasn't abuse. Yet they still called them. So if you have a child don't bring them to this hospital they will destroy your family. And the staff is really rude. I will never go to this hospital again. And you shouldn't either.

My experience here was great. I arrived via ambulance and was treated with respect and dignity. For the first four days I only draw a blank. The second four days were great. When I called for a nurse, they were always quick. Food was good, I think, however, that rating a hospital's food is crazy, but it seems to be on every review I read.

The only test that would diagnose my pinched nerve...

The only test that would diagnose my pinched nerve properly is an MRI which they refuse to do in the ER. For insurance reasons Im sure, and my insurance happens to be excellent. So now I have to take time off work to go to the spine Dr. , go get an MRI elsewhere, go back to the Dr. This was the whole reason I went to the ER in the first place. Not to mention the excruciating pain in my left arm. All they did for this is a muscle relaxer and anti inflammatory. I was crying from pain the whole visit. They never asked what meds I take. They left me in the ER room for 1 hour after they said they were printing my discharge papers. I was discovered by a nurse just waiting patiently for them to remember I was there and taking up valuable ER room space, all the while staring at the cartoon face happy to crying sign with "We strive to keep your pain well controlled" right above the crying face. Joke. The waiting room was so packed when I left, I felt so bad for all those sick folks completely unaware the rooms are being taken up by patients the staff forgot about. Shame on them. I won't go back.

Was in the hospital for a heart caterization. Spent five hours in recovery (which was normal) dr decided that he wanted me to stay over night I was supposed to be immediately place in a room however wasn't assigned a room until four hours later (9 hours after catherization) I called the hospital director on duty and instead of admitting the mistake she began to make excuses, and claiming that there was a large influx of patients from the ER, she assigned a room five mins later. Because of the untruthfulness, the lack of attention and poor response to questions. Not to mention reading the reviews from other patients

I am going to have dr move my surgery to Baylor.
