Manila Ocean Park Reviews

It was my first time visiting the place a couple days ago and since I only stayed there for about 24 hours, I didn't get a chance to experience every attraction they had.

In the Oceanarium, I enjoyed seeing the different kinds of fish and other aquatic creatures. Taking pictures is allowed but you can't use a flash which is fine. I had two problems with it though, first is that midway through the exhibit, the names and information about the different fish are missing, I wanted to know more about some of them because they look so interesting. Second is that the exit is nowhere near the lobby or the main area. We kind of got lost since it was our first time there, the maps didn't help and there were no signs either. Good thing the staff were kind enough to assist us.

I was mostly disappointed in the Jellyfish exhibit. It was cool at first, very beautiful species. But it had only about 3 rooms and only one species of jellyfish is exhibited, not even its name is displayed, not much information, same with most of the Oceanarium.

The barnyard was nice, it was weird that they had it in an ocean-themed park. It was cute and small. The ground floor was mainly about rodents and they were so adorable. There were names and info about them and that was good, i enjoyed. The second floor was mainly birds but again, there wasn't anything much I learned about them. Also, the tour on the second floor didn't last long due to fear of bird poop because they were all perched up on the ropes near the ceiling.

TL;DR The park is nice, I would recommend. I would like to visit again and see other attractions I didn't get to see. It will be much more entertaining if they had info on every species they had.

Ocean park is divided in different attractions. The place is big, but some attractions only have a few to see. It's best to see it during weekdays, to avoid large group of people. The Symphony is a must, The bird and sea lion show is nice too. Just needed to upgrade their audio. Overall. It's nice.

Really cool place to explore. We got the Breezey package for 775P and it definitely covered all the essential parts of the park. The oceanarium was amazing! Never seen some of the fish before! The fish spa was awesome! The creepy crawlers section was also really good! I do wish they had more info on the animals, they were all so interesting!
Would be a great experience for children!

Something confusing and worn. Many different animal species, but little information about them. Good staff, OK entry price.

Nice place. Just got a little dismay about the aquarium tunnel, it's just short. Some employees also won't entertain you if they feel you're not about to buy ticket. Overall, it's still a nice place to visit. Especially the Hotel H2O.

For the fam indeed! Take a day off & 'tis one of the best places to visit with your fam or partner!

It's gone downhill since it was newly opened. Please invest on the maintenance, people deserve to get the value of their money paid.

The place is ok, experience was ok and overall it's nothing to write home about. We saw some cool fishes and the little one had fun too. What annoyed us though are the stalls selling completely unrelated items that are abundant at every corner. It makes the whole place look cheap.

Very relaxing place,, your child/children will enjoy coming here, one of the best in the Philippines

A must and should place to visit. It brings out the Philippines aquatic life. The sea lion show is one of the major attractions and as an Indian I felt proud when an Indian song was played for the water symphony ..

Booked a pass online hoping it would be more convenient and I could skip long lines at the registration.
Ended up in a long queue with the all the rest who have prepaid tickets as they need to photocopy your ID and credit card you used to pay for it online.
Should I have kkown it is this complicated, I would have opted to pay in cash onsite as that counter is just a breeze. No queue for cash payt, just go to the counter and no other documents to photocopy etc. Totally ineffcient online facility option! Don't opt for it foe your own sake.

Great place! Would have liked it even more if they had the Sea Lion Show on 4-5pm instead and not 3:30 pm as the sun's heat is intense at 3pm

Wonderful, a well kept place for full family. Need a day for each segment to enjoy and grasp the informations

I have seen varities of reptiles, mammals, amphibians, birds, and fishes but not really happy cause i would love to see them in their real homes back in wild..

Poor maintenance. Nothing spectacular. Expensive for the amount you pay and definitely not worth it.

This place would recommend for kids and there local people visit mores then tourist.

The park is really for kids. I love the sea lion show because it's interactive and it's a chance for us to enjoy watching while sitting down and I felt amaze. It's really fun and enjoyable especially when you're together with your family.

Fish and cool reptiles. Performances a bit without an idea and a bad sound, but the locals like it and that's probably the point.

Tourist trap, not worth the price... But the evening show is great...

Pretty nice place but the thing is its a little dusty in some parts I would like some improvement in this place but overall a pretty good place!

This was a bit of a disappointment. Too commercialized. You have to pay for each type of exhibit which all in all, becomes pricier than the HK Ocean Park entrance ticket... My family loves discovering and learning new animals, fish etc and they had a few that we had not seen before but no labels to indicate what they were, so it really was a bust on the learning front for my kids. Disorganized, staff wasn't helpful in maintaining crowd control. Alot of potential but needs better management.

Amazing park. A must see if you're in Manila. Huge in length. Great exhibition. Affordable entry. I recommend trying out all of their activities. Had a great time there. Grab a good camera.

Tiring but great and fun experience. We purchased tickets from an online seller since it's much more cheaper. Went to the park at a Sunday, at 10am. At this time, there will be lots of people but not too crowded. Crowd time is likely around 12noon onwards. Warning: rude and undisciplined park-goers will drain your energy off. If you're an extreme introvert, this place is not for you. Tip on eating at the park restaurants: make a reservation ahead because there will be a long waiting list during lunch hours. Recommended place to eat: Makan Makan.

Nice Park to take the kids. It could use a little more care to the facilities, but overall its good visit. The jellyfish exhibit was awesome.

The Water and light show now needs updating,jelly fish is now not available but still for us we find this place very nice and entertaining,many food stalls and restaurants available,hopefully someday Manila Ocean park will compete with ocean park Hong Kong.

Fantastic experience.. There are four different packages. you will get to experience different programs based on ur package. Penguin show is very nice. Aquarium is not very huge though, few species of fishes. it is attached to d ocean

Manila Ocean Park great place to visit it offers a total of 16 attractions - newly added Super Toys and Neon Ride. I love the fish spa and the neon ride I enjoy it the most but for the kids I'm sure they'll be amazed by what they can discover inside Manila Ocean Park.

if you love something fishy, just go here and have fun. play with sea creatures and other animals that could ease your stress from toxic work!

It's a must see attraction in Manila. It's near the Rizal Park. And don't miss the sea lion show!!

It may be difficult to understand because there are many shows. I think you can enjoy it all day.

It sells hand tools. It has aquariums and water games for children. It has only two restaurants and the air conditioning in them is very bad.

I found the website to be somewhat misleading in that exhibits were often not fully developed, and compared to similar facilities in other Asian countries, including the similar named Ocean Park in Hong Kong, this park was not of the same caliber. I would not recommend this place for foreigners based on the learning potential foreigners typically expect. Some employees spoke good English and most employees were helpful when asked questions.

If you're looking for something a little less touristy to do while sightseeing in Manila, this is a great place to stop. The aquarium is the main attraction, but there are other exhibits to peruse while you're there including their Creepy Crawly exhibit (bugs, sankes, frogs, etc) and seal show. Take your family and enjoy a couple of hours or the whole day. :)

My family and I had been here twice already and we still enjoyed. Great place for family bonding.

The sea lion show is a must see. The rest were just so so attractions.

Attractions still the same since last 4 years. Improve attractions including the light show. It's too old. Unless renovated and updated. Will never go back.

Everything looks great, but i think MOP tours are overpriced.
