I was not satisfied with the service, the gentleman server was not attentive to our table. The patio table was not sturdy so it would wobble from time to time. As for the food, I had ordered the fish entree dish and it was too salty. Although I have to say that the scenery from the patio was very nice.

What an absolutely enjoyable evening! Service and meals were exceptional. Thanks Doug for the wine recommendation. Perfect pairing. We both had pastas and butter lettuce salad with warm goats cheese. Everything was perfection. The salted caramel ice cream was a perfect end. Will be back soon.

Appetizers and Desserts are very tasty. Main course quality is average (or less than average if you order Strozzapretti Roberto; too salty.. ). Great service and lovely ambiance! Overall it is a nice place but you won't be amazed by the food.
Suggestion: For daily specials, it's good to give people a menu so they can see their options as well as the prices.. This does not work verbally. People want to know how much they would have to pay for a daily special item too !

Amazing food and our waiter gave us great recommendations. Had the calamari which is the freshest I have ever had. Nice place to go for a romantic dinner. Will like to try the patio in the summer.

Mangia is our go-to for special occasions with the family on the North Shore. Their pasta always tastes so fresh and the service and atmosphere are excellent. The Tartufate pasta is no longer on the menu but we often still order it as a side to share because it is so good (rich, creamy truffle deliciousness). They also have a pasta special month which is a great time to go try different items from the menu for less. Even the candy on offer as you exit is fantastic.

Overbearing waiter assumed (wrongly) we needed a lesson on wines. Very poor flat and cold ravioli swimming in thin and tasteless truffle sauce. Overpriced and disappointing experience.

Best Italian Restaurant on the North Shore. One of the best in Metro Vancouver. Consistently excellent quality. Great wine list and dessert. Fabulous halibut, Cornish game hen , beef tenderloin and pastas.

Delicious choices on their classic Italian menu...so hard to choose as I wanted it all. Covid measures in place left us feeling safe, great service. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining out experience. We will be back.

Bad service and food. I don't know how it has 5 stars from many people (probably the owners) but this is not good. We went for dinner with our kids and they treated us like they were doing a favor. Again... food is not good. We all felt sick in the day after. Try the cactus on the mall, or the one on the dubdarave beach.

Had a wonderful dinner here last week and would highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for a romantic and delicious dine out experience in West Vancouver.
I called early in the day and left my call back number. They returned my call less than an your later and were able to book at table for two the same day, a quite Wednesday in January.
We found free street parking nearby and were seated promptly at a nice table separated by shoji screens from other diners . During Covid times, this is much nicer than a plastic wall between the tables. They offered tap or sparkling water and brought sliced homemade focaccia with oil/balsamic to start while we perused the extensive and creative menu.
Our menu selections included Crostata Di Pere E Fromaggio Blu. Warm, flavourful pear and blue cheese gently melted on puff pastry. I could have eaten the whole thing myself.
Next was the Caprese Di Burrata. Soft and delicious homemade mozzarella with heirloom tomato and a fresh sprig of basil with olive oil. It tasted like summer on a plate!
Our pasta choice was Spaghetti Deliziosi with pesto, asparagus, oven dried tomato (which I like so much more than sun-dried tomato), walnuts and pine nuts. Just the right amount to share.
Our Secondi Piatti was Anatra Farcita Al Frangelico: boar bacon wrapped duck breast stuffed with roasted chestnut, apple and celeriac, topped with Frangelico sauce. I've never liked duck breast until now. It's usually too heavy for me but this was beautifully prepared and just the right amount to be satisfying with a side of grilled seasonal veggies. Boar bacon should be the new bacon!
Dessert? Yes, of course! Torte A Limone E Pinole; lemon zabaione tart with pine nut crust. Just sweet enough to cleanse the palate and a generous dollop of crema fresca on top. Big enough to share had he had any room left. I always have room for lemon...
My companion enjoyed a house wine Chianti and they even had a Moscato that wasn't on the list for me which made my day! We lingered over 2 hours and enjoyed every morsel on our plates.
I didn't see the bill because he was treating but he said it was worth it for the quality of the meal and variety of tastes on our plates.
Call ahead for reservations or enjoy your meal at home with their take away selections.

Always excellent.

Always excellent.
Our last visit was for our anniversary and the staff made it special. The food is always delicious, the service is excellent. We all appreciated the detail & professionalism of the staff.

The best beef carpaccio can be found here.

They have a great selection of fairly priced & delicious Tuscan wines as well!

Went to Mange last night and due to the restrictions we had a patio seat. The covered patio is nice and warm and very comfortable. Had an exceptional meal as usual with a great wine. Gordon our server was extremely attentive as always. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had the Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce and the Spaghetti Deliziosi with added Arugula. Yummy.

Absolute best Italian fine dining experience I've had in Vancouver. The food is consistently delicious, the service is impecable and inviting. Very authentic Italian atmosphere. MUST try the calamari and beef carpaccio!! This time I had some gorgeous ravioli and a glazed pork chop that was unreal. To die for... Doug Grisdale is a marvelous head host and a pleasure to talk with. Magnifico

For the first time in many years I went somewhere else for a special occasion and in doing so I have walked away with an even deeper appreciation for Mangia E Bevi.

From the truffle ravioli to the elegant, kind servers to the peaceful dining ambiance, Mangia E Bevi deserves more clout.

This restaurant already had a great reputation but we never tried that until last weekend. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice... elegant and quiet. The service is fast, focused and the stuff members are very polite. The food is extraordinary, amazingly detailed until the last bite. The taste of the food was above and beyond of my expectations. I have to come back to try more from the menu.

Stopped in for an early Sunday dinner. The service was excellent, and our meals were outstanding. The portions were large and nicely presented. Our server Michael was super friendly and efficient. We will be back!

Thank you very much for a wonderful dinner. I took my wife and mother in law here as a last minute dinner choice. What a pleasant surprise as I was in the area and we do not regret it. We had the lamb, ravioli, and the spicy Roberto pasta. The waiter was fantastic, attentive and helped us decide. This was the best pasta thank-you we will be back for more

Had a great take out dinner a few nights ago.. its now Friday night 9:15 and my sweet tooth was yearning for your dessert was insane...so I called for a pick up of a salad and a few deserts (super easy). They wouldn't take my order... sorry we're closing. now I understand you're prob closing earlier because of the pandemic, I respect that...but the restaurant business needs all the support they can get, don't they? I would have tipped large.. $20 to help..but nope... super sad

We'd heard such wonderful things about this restaurant that we saved it for a special occasion. Made reservations for a special anniversary, told hostess on phone this and wanted a window seat. Got there 5 min early said we had reservations, reply was "sit wherever you want". No mention through whole evening of thanks you for coming on special night . They obviously missed that even when I said to server, it's our anniversary. Chef came around and spoke to every table but us! Guess we should have worn sweat suits and flip flops too. I honestly cant remember the food, not amazing as I was expecting.
When we celebrate a special event we go to a special restaurant. This one will not be on our return list, even though it's right around the corner. Would have enjoyed the food and friendly service at the sister restaurant across the street better!

The Best Food and Service. Everything you want from a dining experience is here: Amazing attentive and professional staff (Michael was wonderful to us), beautiful terrace in the shade surrounded by grape vines, outstanding food (the Stuzzichino Mangia E Bevi and Ravioli Ai Funghi E Salvia were beyond incredible), lovely well-priced wine and drink lists, and overall a beautiful, relaxing, authentic atmosphere. This is the best Italian in Vancouver, perfect for a romantic date night, getting family together, or enjoying life solo, I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

A delightful experience. Small locally-owned Italian restaurant. Service was friendly, but extremely knowledgeable and impeccable. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavors.

Amazing customer service and great food! The staff are very accommodating, especially for food allergies. They were helpful and made sure my seat was away from other diners who had ordered food I'm allergic to (I'm very sensitive to the smell as well). I really appreciated this :)

I had the beef tenderloin with blue cheese-cream (Filetto Ai Formaggio Blu). I must say this is one of the few restaurants that I've encountered that actually does a medium rare well! I was very happy that it wasn't over-cooked and the transition from seared outside to lightly brown inside was smooth.

Another point I love about this place is that you can order dishes that are off the menu as long as they have the ingredients, since they make their food from scratch. I asked for a carbonera simply because I craved one and they made it for me!

Overall great experience and will come again. Thank you!

The best Carpaccio Cremoso I believe in the city! The main course hasn't even arrived yet. Staff is wonderful and friendly and very accommodating. Squeezed me in on a Saturday night at 7 pm....enjoy! Thanks guys...

Always have had a good experience when dining here. It s a great Italian restaurant in West Vancouver, I had amazing food and wine selection. The only thing is that the service can be slow at times, other then that, would recommend.

This used to be our favorite Italian restaurant on the North Shore but our last visit. The waiter was sub par. He was either too present or too absent, forgot to bring us bread, brought out my wife's entree cold . Too bad, it's a nice spot with an excellent wine list.

This is a superb restaurant, and overlooked especially for lunch. Wonderfully traditional high-quality Italian fare (red and white sauces both featured), served in a delightfully quiet atmosphere by attentive staff. Recent triumphs include caesar salad, fettuccine alfredo, chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce--utterly ordinary menu items rendered exquisitely well. (I swear they must put opium into their sauces....) Wine list just the right size, and the Italian white suggested by the waiter was perfect for this meal: minerality cut gently through all that sauce....

If you want a civilized change from the earls/Cactus Club din, with wait staff who don't dress like call girls, take a walk on the calm side and get to Mangia e Bevi.

Everything I've had here is amazing. The service is perfect. What better Italian food can you find? I highly recommend the beef carpaccio - best anywhere, and the browned butter and sage ravioli. It's always as good or better than I remember it.

I was not impressed with the price..expensive..service not so great. And food was the cheapest amount of seafood for a 30 dollar plate i have ever seen..maybe the size of a toonie..RIP off

The quality of food has been in decline over the last couple of years. Recently I noticed very dirty, dusty windows, it was kind of gross. We were sat at a table with a stained tablecloth and my pasta dish had some kind of thickening agent added to it (cornstarch maybe?) To be honest my pasta dish was so gross I couldn't finish it. It's never a good sign when a restaurant puts their tomatoes in the refrigerator and mangia e bevi just started about a year ago. It's a shame, it used to be my favourite in the neighbourhood.
