First time staying at this hotel. Unfortunately was disappointed in the cleanliness of the carpets and room in general. Stains on carpet and chairs. Scuff marks on ceiling.
The bayview room was ok, but there was a huge construction site hole in view. No exhaust fan in bathroom, air conditioner is loud at night. The lobby is huge and exceptional, which I thought the room was going to be awesome, but it was a huge let down. My family and I wanted to try this hotel for the location and how great it looked from outside and lobby. I doubt we would be staying at this location in our future travels to San Diego.

Hotel is luxurious and quite expensive. It offers rooms for congresses and conferences, as well as for the accommodation of participants. It is located on the seafront, which allows great views of the city and also the beautiful coastal area. Offer services and a shopping area.

Overall, disappointing stay here at the Grand Hyatt. I m sure it s better on less busy weekends. My room was downgraded from a King suite to a tiny double bed suite after I came to the check in counter twice, asking if my room was ready one hour after check in.

What an amazing experience! This is a gem of a hotel in downtown San Diego, super accessible from gaslamp and other downtown shenanigans. The hotel staff is great and very helpful and the room that we got (bay view) was incredible. All in all a complete package.

Didn't actually stay here only visited during Comic-Con. Place was big, spacious, grand. Staff was helpful. They even let me charge my phone and go out the pool despite me not being a guest there which was great.

Hotel is close airport and some rooms have a great view of the bay. There's a bar in the lobby as well as one top floor (40th). The fitness center has all the amenities of a full size gym. There's a roof top area on the 4rth floor that has a 3ft pool and artificial grass area to relax or exercise. Hotel parking is a little expensive - $35 per night. There's 32 items of travel must-haves that are provided free of charge. There's a 24 hour hotel market. Rooms have a mini fridge and keurg. The Staff are very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is not more than four star. Very pompous and grandiose in it's public places but less so in it's rooms. Room a bit worn out but clean. In room there was only a limited set of amenities but I could ask for a nice selection from housekeeping. I also borrowed a yoga mat and training weight set to my room. There was a nice Starbucks downstairs for coffee and snacks. I liked the breakfast: omelettes were made to order and from real eggs. Good selection of veggies and healthy stuff and super helpful personnel. I attended a conference held in the hotel, also lunches and gala dinner. These were less than average, definitely 1-2 stars for the conference food.

The hotel restaurant food and service is not great but there is no shortage of quality restaurants within walking distance.

Very nice hotel but not the best bang for your buck. The pool area was beautiful. Especially at night when they light the fires. (Gas). Price of everything in the hotel is outrageous. Location is wonderful.

Had a great time attending their rooftop movie showing of Top Gun. Get there early to get a good seat. Had to sit in the first row but it actually was OK. Parking was a problem as they closed down the self-parking for non- hotel guests forcing us to use valet. To be fair, the ticket did state that self parking was based on availability but you can't help but wonder whether, during the summer, that self parking is probably never going to be available for movie goers.

The hotel was in a great spot, right on the harbor. The walk to most places including Gaslamp district and down to USS Midway was no more than 15 minutes. It's less than 5 minutes to the convention center. The view from our room were spectacular, the hotel itself and our room were clean, the service was efficient and friendly, and the hotel offered a wide array of amenities and conveniences. The beds were also really comfortable, and the room was spacious enough that 4 women did not feel too cramped. I wanted for nothing while staying here whether it was traveling to Coronado quickly or soaking in the hot tub at night. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I highly suggest staying here.

Awesome hotel in fabulous location. Wow! Lots of places to run, ride, sight see, eat, play. Expensive area, but the Greek place in Seaport Village has great food at a reasonable price. There are other reasonable food places, but I like a Mediterranean diet when I can get it.

We are staying here now. The first room we were in had a power port so filthy I did not want to touch it. The hotel said that the material is not cleanable. Then why have it in a hotel? Next I needed a cold
Compress and put taps only ran hot water (burn your finger hot). After about 15 min of running we got somewhat warm water. This was sink and tub. They sent someone to repair it but 15 min after the repair it was back to hot running from the cold taps. We had to phone and convince them to
Change our room. The next room was better. They have an 1 cup coffee
Maker in the room but only give you dark roast coffee yuck. The staff is friendly which is nice. I do however expect a step above for the cost of the rooms. There is no microwave in the rooms and the fridge barely works. Would I stay here again? Not if I was paying for it.

Went here for a work event. Was very impressive from start to finish with the staff, rooms and ballrooms. This is such a large hotel they have so many rooms to have multiple events going at the same time. Location wise, it's right next to some shops and restaurants, but if you didn't want to, you wouldn't have to leave since they have a restaurant attached too.

It is very close to the airport and can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. The sea is behind the hotel. It is nice to walk by the sea.
The room is spacious and clean, and the space is large. The hotel staff are very kind and helpful. There is a shop selling Starbucks coffee and souvenirs on the first floor.
You can buy itinerary packages at hotels, such as going to the zoo or Midway Museum, which saves time in line at the scene. As for the price of the on-site purchase, it is not much cheaper, but it is an additional option.
On the whole, it is a recommended hotel. It is about 15 minutes walk from the media light district, and it is also good to take a walk.
There is a charge that is not what I expected during this stay. When I checked out, I knew that there would be a Destination fee of US $ 35 per day, and then I would add a 10.5% tax (US $ 3.68), which is equivalent to no consumption. At the moment, I also asked why there was such a fee at the counter. In the impression, the counter replied that I was the equipment in the hotel, etc., but I think this fee should be explained before check-in, otherwise the person who first stayed may not calculate To this hidden fee.

Paid for parking at checkout, then noticed daily charges placed on card for 40.25, when parking was $35 a night. Front desk claimed it was a shop in the hotel, had to track down the shop manager, who was little to no help, only to find out it was parking, and not a shop several days later.
