Manchester Grand Hyatt Review

My new "go to" place when staying in San Diego. Great place. Great location.

We were there 2 weeks ago for a convention. Hotel was amazing - clean rooms, great view, very helpful staff. Loved it and would love to go back to San Diego some day

We stayed here on July 4th. Nice location which close to everything. Was able to watch fireworks from our room at 24th floor. Overall is pretty good.

great rooms, incredible views, showers could be nicer, old and too small for a modern luxury hotel. still give it 5 stars though. hard to really change the room sizes around in a building that has already been built

Beautiful hotel with well furnished lobby. Superb views of the San Diego bay side with easy walking distance to Gaslamp and Seaport.

Excellent luxury hotel right in the best location to take the train, ride a bike and more.

The hotel is well situated near the waterfront. The staff were all very friendly, the food was good, and the drinks were also good. An assortment of pillow sizes and softness was greatly appreciated and the view was fantastic.

Lovely hotel, great staff, would happily stay there again on the next trip.

Had a conference at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. It is a great conference location close to so much in the city. Good food, nice conference rooms, and great staff.

Good location for a conference, with great views from the 33rd floor. It could use better signage in the back of the hotel (to guide guests to Brew 30)

It's okay. Cookie cutter hotel. Nothing really stands out. Just conveniently located being in downtown.

Gorgeous hotel breathtaking views of downtown San Diego, Coronado island and seaport village. On a clear day you can see all the way to Mexico!

The staff is very professional, the area in downtown is amazing, and the rooms are tidy.

Absolutely do not stay here if you are a Motorcyclist or a member of the NRA!!! My sister and I were in town from Chicago on a rented Goldwing and BMW R1200 when we stopped in. Immediately on driving up in the drive we were hawked by their valet who informed us he was under strict orders for not motorcycles to be seen from the front entrance! He really said that!!! We decided we would suck it up and check it out anyway. Then, in speaking with one of their receptionists, I happened to ask jokingly of they had any discounts for "Triple A, AMA, NRA, NAR,.... I'm a member if all" to which she responded laughingly "Oh yeah, NRA, I'd like to see that." I asked "Uhm, what do you mean?" and again, laughingly, she said "yeah, like I'd like to see those people, can you imagine?" as if NRA members are absolute animals. I was so floored and figured this hourly bag clerk would never be able to grasp the concept of individual liberty that I just walked out and wrote this review. Clearly the Hyatt corporation has a deep seeded disdain for our great nation and those who enjoy the liberties and freedoms provided by it. Therefore, if you happen to believe in the 2nd amendment, or enjoy riding a motorcycle, you ought to spend your dollars elsewhere.

One of the best hotels in the downtown San Diego area

Great level. The perfect breakfast, great quality in the fruit. The view of my room is the best, the whole bay. All the details taken care of

We stayed here for our 50th anniversary on Valentine's day weekend. The hotel is beautiful but the room needed a good cleaning or updating or both. We were in a bay front room on the 26th floor. The view was awesome but the maid service was lacking. The first morning she made my bed but didn't even wash the sink out or leave clean glasses. The second morning she didn't replace my empty kleenex box which had a lot of dust on it and I had to call housekeeping to get some sent to my room. (I had even left the empty box upside down on top of the container) I don't know if I would stay there again.
I was at 3 different hotels in Hawaii before coming to San Diego and every one left a nice message in our room for our Valentine's Anniversary except here. No personal messages from them and they new it was a special event for us.
This hotel needs to show a little more personal attention to there guests

Location is amazing. The rooms are spacious comfortable and the seagulls are friendly. . You can literally walk out of the doors and be at Seaport Village. There are plenty of restaurants all around the hotel.

I was in one of the large halls. They're very spacious and they had the AC running so it was cool inside despite the humid hot weather outside

Really nice hotel. But for the price they could have quieter air condition system.
It is set right to the bad and turns on every few minutes. A bit old and dated machines.
Breakfast was really nice and good quality food, excellent service ( even overkill to be honest )
Everything was 10/10 except this bloody air condition system lol Sorry but hard to be happy when you have big machine beside your head when you try to sleep.

Lobby and bar area are clean and very customer friendly. All of the main floor amenities, including the conference rooms, are top notch.

Didn't like the check in was outside and the valet guy was insulting by asking if i could afford the 49 dollar valet parking. Um if i couldn't afford it, I wouldn't ask you to park my car for me, duh. The other staff was nice and the room was cool with a nice view

Went for drinks at the top of the Hyatt,wonderful view. Quiet enviorment nice music definetally a great place for an intimate date night.

It's very big. It cost a lot of money. It has a nice view. That should be enough info to consider this hotel or not.

The Grand Hyatt Manchester is spacious with beautiful and relaxing views. Stayed for a conference, which was also hosted at the hotel. Conference and stay went smooth. They handled several shipments while there with ease. Check-in to check out: a good experience. Good proximity to seaside shops, restaurants and activities

It's a nice location but our bathroom sink has a massive crack and the bank of elevators to our floor were especially slow for the last few days...

First discovered this gem while attending a conference within the hotel and was offered a discounted room while attending the week-long conference. Very beautiful hotel, with many amazing amenities.

Since staying there, we no longer stay at the hotel as we are Hilton Honors members and stay down the boardwalk. However, we still make it a point to eat at the Sea View Restaurant within the hotel - best breakfast buffet we've ever been to. We routinely travel down from OC to eat here, spend the day in SD and come back up for dinner.

Stay was fine, however the pillows are super uncomfortable as every morning I woke up with a super sore neck. Won t be staying again as comfort is a priority if I am spending top dollar on accommodation.

I've never experienced a hotel/staff that bends over as much as they do in order to ensure the happiness of their guests. There was a complication when I checked-in (they had accidentally checked someone into my room), and they were so apologetic and more than made up for the inconvenience. When one of the bars closed prematurely, I inquired again and they bent over backwards to ensure we were accommodated. The location is amazing, the hotel is great and the service is on another level. THANK you!

Huge hotel that is very well kept and the staff is great. We were here for a convention and it was perfect for that. Also close to gaslamp district. The bar on the 40th floor was cool but kind of small and we expected it to be a rooftop bar which it is not. Overall it is a great place.

it's actually a great place in a really good area of San Diego. accessibility is easy and convenient from and to the SD Int.Airport. room prices per night are up to the offered standard and location. it's super easy if you wanna grab a bite somewhere in the city. great spots walking distance from here. if you're looking for a long weekend destination I'd highly recommend San Diego and Manchester Grand Hyatt!!

Centrally located, it is in the middle of everything that is happening in San Diego. Within walking distance of restaurants bars and shops it has much to offer. The building itself adds to the downtown San Diego Skyline. The premises are meticulously kept and the staff is very professional and friendly.

Perfect location with wonderful top floor bar that offers a great view. Walking distance from Gaslamp.

Great rooms, checking and checking out is so easy and hassle free. They have a lot of great food options for places to eat as well. I love the rewards program as well, I'm able to earn free night stays. I'm attending comicon so the hotel is nice and close to the convention center for me.

Stopped by to say hello to friends. From what I see everyone was super professional to guests.

The facilities are some of the best in downtown. I have been to the Grand Hyatt several times over the years for various events and Comic-Con, and have always enjoyed my time there. The food service in the lobby restaraunt/bar is pricey, but good and not unexpected for downtown.

Love this place. Close to everything and great staff.

Rooms have nice views but the service is horrible. Our AC system was not working and the hotel refused to fix it saying there was nothing wrong with it! They implied we were imagining it being broken. We all got sick from the cold air and had to switch hotel at the end with teo toddlers.

Staff to check us in was extremely helpful and friendly. Room is very clean and bed is very comfortable. Free internet is adequate for basic needs.
