The preparation for the procedure was very professional and the nurses, doctors and staff were very pleasant, reassuring and courteous. Once in the lab for the procedure, there were 5 medical professionals tending to the business at hand in preparation for the heart procedure. All were very pleasant and reassuring about the upcoming procedure. Anesthesiologist and his assistant talked me through every step of the way as I was being put to sleep. Recovery went very well and Ingrid (Nurse) was tremendously attentive and professional.

I showed up at 1:45PM in the afternoon and the emergency room was not crowded. I was second in line and the receptionist took my information and put a medical band on my wrist. I sat down and within 15 minutes I was called to give the nurses a brief description of my issue. They took my vitals and told to sit back in the waiting area.
Within 10 minutes I was called and lead back into one vacant rooms. Another nurse came in within 5 minutes and verified my information and placed an IV. She took took a couple of vial blood to be tested. Upon leaving she told me the doctor would be in shortly. I must have dozed off before I heard my name being called. It the doctor and a resident. The doctor was very kind and pleasant, she ask me questions about my issue and checked my stomach. Then she said she ordering a CAT scan of my stomach area. Within 15 a tech person took me to the tomography location and they did their magic. I was returned to the room I was in and 5 min later I was put in a pending results room where I waited for 15 min and discharged. I was provided my results of my visit and subsequently discharged. All is it was GREAT experience. Kudos to men and women that work at Manatee Memorial and made it painless.

So, I drive by this hospital practically every day...

So, I drive by this hospital practically every day, and I've dropped some customers off in ER and Main entrance during my Uber days. I always thought that a Hospital is a Hospital, is a Hospital. Well, Not so fast grasshopper!! turns out I became an "Outpatient" guest at the Heart center a few days back for a procedure. The first thing that I have to say is the professionalism of the staff. From the Free Valet service, to Security, to admitting, and all of the rest of the staff who tended to me, including those involved with my procedure. It's hard to put into words when you are on the losing end of a battle with your bladder, on the operating table during a procedure mind you, and the male nurse didn't even skip a beat in making sure that I was able to, well, you know, uhhmm, relieve myself as if it was an expected task. My point is that when I witness such kindness, pride and passion a staff member takes in what they do, it tells me that they truly care about patients being humans as opposed to just another number going through the assembly line which is how it must feel sometimes with such a common procedure. My hat off to all who work at Manatee Memorial. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and SAFE, and specially for the Turkey Sandwich. Wow did it taste good. well, ok, so I hadn't eaten the whole day, but still, it didn't taste like cardboard!!.. for those of you reading this, know that you will be cared for with the utmost passion by everyone! Stay Well!

Everyone was so nice and had a warm smile! My nurses and nurses aides from ER to observation unit always had a smile, a positive attitude and always seemed Generally interested in your care. The Doctors were great at explaining things to you so you understood. My case manager Arie was Amazing. Josie from county assistance was wonderful ! The food service was patient and very helpful. The food was pretty good too. The lady doing my echo was caring and explained what she was doing and how best for me to help get the best picture. Louis from transportation was funny and had me laughing it was exactly what i needed. The ride down to the lobby was a great help and a nice conversation. Except having to wait and extra day for my echo to be done and a few other things my stay was definitely Awesome!!! Especially since it wasn't planned.

I brought my 81 year old boyfriend to the emergency room. He has dementia and I was not allowed in with him to go over with the hospital staff about what problems he was experiencing even though both of us have been vaccinated. Patients were forced to sit outside in 90 degree weather. It's ridiculous that medical centers are treating patients as if they are infected with Ebola instead of just an easily treatable virus.

I had the best care while I was hospitalized. Every nurse and doctor all were very attentive and caring. I had a head injury and they were constantly checking me. You have a wonderful staff and should be proud of them.

Due to "Covid protocols" would not let anyone sit in waiting room with me. I was in severe pain and passed out from pain twice and they required my husband to leave me alone in the midst of patients with Covid symptoms unsupervised while passing out from pain. Not a safe practice. The staff was rude, yelled at me, and when I fell out of my chair told me I cannot be on the floor but refused to help me. Just kept yelling at me. When I followed my husband outside to ask about something they said they took me off the waiting list, and took my bracelet and said I had to get back to the end of the line now. This is not how they should treat people.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place calls itself a hospital when it is in fact nothing more than a morgue. Many patients go in seeking help with their health and never come back out. This place is an absolute disgrace, the faculty does not care about the patients nor their family. The doctors, nurses, and administration do not update the family on how their loved ones are doing and when they call up to get an update on their family member, the staff refuse to answer any questions and sometimes will purposely ignore their phone calls. They do not feed or care to check in on their patients. As soon as they are given a room they throw the food on the patients tray, without care if the patients has the strength to get up from their bed, let alone be able to move the tray and feed themselves. The amount of patients that have bedsores because the staff do not check on their patients is astounding. This place forces families out of their dying loved ones rooms by using aggressive security guards that threaten to fight the family simply because they have a badge, and the family is threaten with jail by these barbaric security guards. All because the family went to see their loved ones. The family members are teased with being able to see their loved ones and this crushes not only the family, but the patient that is all alone in a hospital bed. I have never experienced a more unprofessional, inhumane, uninvolved, careless hospital. I ask that you do not send your loved ones here or they may not make it out alive.

This was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had. I was in room 230 on 05/28-29/2021. The nursing staff was extremely knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They always made me feel like I was the only patient they had to care for and all were very attentive. Manatee Memorial has left a great impression on me and I have nothing but good things to say. Well done! Thank You Very Much.
