I showed up at 1:45PM in the afternoon and the emergency room was not crowded. I was second in line and the receptionist took my information and put a medical band on my wrist. I sat down and within 15 minutes I was called to give the nurses a brief description of my issue. They took my vitals and told to sit back in the waiting area.
Within 10 minutes I was called and lead back into one vacant rooms. Another nurse came in within 5 minutes and verified my information and placed an IV. She took took a couple of vial blood to be tested. Upon leaving she told me the doctor would be in shortly. I must have dozed off before I heard my name being called. It the doctor and a resident. The doctor was very kind and pleasant, she ask me questions about my issue and checked my stomach. Then she said she ordering a CAT scan of my stomach area. Within 15 a tech person took me to the tomography location and they did their magic. I was returned to the room I was in and 5 min later I was put in a pending results room where I waited for 15 min and discharged. I was provided my results of my visit and subsequently discharged. All is it was GREAT experience. Kudos to men and women that work at Manatee Memorial and made it painless.
