Great school. Diverse and affordable. Great place for liberal pursuits. Lacking a bit in their science and mathematics departments though. They do not have a Computer Science track and their Mathematics department seems understaffed.
Minneapolis College has a beautiful campus and serves as an integral part of the surrounding community for which it serves. It offers reasonabe tuition, instructors that care about their students, and a diverse and inclusive student body.

MCTC is a reasonably priced, quality education at a downtown location, providing knowledge and life experience to many who may not have access to or interest in the more expensive universities in the area.
Like other reviews mentioned, there is definitely a variance in talent of teaching staff. Some instructors are seriously great. Others have a bit of a superiority complex, talk down to students, and/or can't be bothered to even show up on time to their lectures. I went for the dental assistant program and feel as though Ann Lensing should reconsider her decision to go into teaching. While she clearly knows her stuff, her teaching abilities aren't great. She tends towards condescension, rambles on incessantly, and just doesn't know how to teach. At the end of the day, this is still an affordable place to get your education and training down. But things like that can make a difference between a mediocre versus a good program.
Friendly and helpful staff, many programs, and quiet places to study, and as of recent very accepting of online learning as well, perhaps one of the most flexable colleges out there.

Phenomenal teachers, excellent atmosphere to learn in. Justice, equity and fairness which encompasses EVERYONE is included in their pedagogical methods. They are extremely accommodating, and will do everything in their power to help their students succeed. Thank you, MCTC, for changing my life.
