I really enjoy the food but today I came in and order a quarter white, the quarter white was minus the wing. The lady who took the order said that's how it comes. Now I'm not crazy I know the what a "quarter" is. I won't be back after this nor will I recommend to my co-workers since I'm always telling them to go there for lunch.
Not good. Very disappointed. French fries looked like left overs, soggy. Rice wasn't large side like I ordered. My iced tea wasn't fresh nor sweet. It left a bad aftertaste. I was hoping the chicken was good but it was too dry. Not a fan.
Please change the trash dispensers, very unsanitary
Little portion of protein I hope to improve in the next opportunity
Met friends there. I didn't eat, but after seeing the food wanted to. Clean, and warm inside on a cold night. Food looked delish!
It is excellent ... Very Rich Everything I Love .. It Is A 5 Star Place
Good food. Easy access and ordering. They have take out options as well. Good portions of food. Friendly staff.
Place can take a lil bit of TLC and turned it around. Place looks tired. Sticky tables. Bathrooms needs to be refurbished.
Has great potential.
The chicken is really good and tender, and the fried plantains are sweet, just like my dad makes.
Wow this was so tasty. Thanks Garrett for recommending this fabulous food
On the outside, I must admit, it looks like a failed McDonalds that was painted over and turned into a restaurant. But as with so many great restaurants, don't judge the book by its cover! The chicken is flavorful with crispy, well-seasoned skin browned in their rotisseries. The green sauce is spicy but compliments the chicken well and the rice and black beans are delicious as well. And the prices are so reasonable that I can't stop coming back for more!
Good food.
Bad service.
Hands down the best chicken Raleigh and the sides are equally good. Never have gotten a bad meal here, not sure what the secret ingredient is in the chicken, it must be crack.
Why only a 4 star review, I cannot in good conscience give it a 5 star review because the service is as bad as the chicken is good. It is comically bad, I think they are told not to smile or show happiness and to top it off they ask you for a tip on your receipt to just hand you your food with a scowl.
I m a regular however and like all the rest of us who wait in the insanely long line at lunch to get the best chicken in town, we put up with the horrible attitudes and will keep coming back. They are like the Soup Nazi of Raleigh.
The place to go! Amazing food and customer service!
A great spot! Their yellow sauce is awesome, tostones are addictive and the black beans are some of the best I've had! Definitely check this place out for a quick takeout dinner.
Grilled to perfection! Always a Go Too restaurant when in doubt.
89 sanitation score... We should have turned and walked out right then. The whole staff we noticed was Rude and unprofessional to all guests in the restaurant. Needless to say the food was unappetizing. None of us finished our plates. We WONT be back. Cleanliness was not in their vocabulary. Their "Motto should be rude and disgusting is our specialty"
Randomly stopped in. Great food with a low key atmosphere.
Very bad if you are Spanish and if you are American very good
It's hard to beat this roasted chicken. All the side are good and the yellow and green sauces, which are self-service, are a must try. Get there early for lunch during the week.
One other note....get their standard rotisserie chicken. Their specials are ok, but nowhere near their standard offering.
3 of 5 stars (excellent, fast food).
Order at the counter and wait about 5-10 minutes.
The menu is small and easy to navigate: you have chicken and you have sides (and perhaps four "special" dishes). Desserts, too.
Chicken is great (not too salty). Sides are good as are desserts.
We will be back!
About $10-$15 per person.
Food and service was great. Very friendly staff and fast service. I do wish that there were more menu options available as it seems a lot of these Latin food chains all carry the same general sides and entrees.
Delicious chicken and sides. Even had decent coffee. Not a fancy place, but doesn't have to be.
Delicious food! Even when the lines are long, you won't have to wait very long. The maduros and black beans will change your mind if you're on the fence about either! Some of the best black beans I've ever eaten!
Quarter dark with black beans and corn was great. The chicken is flavorful and juicy, and the black beans are some of the best I've had. The corn is just corn. Prices are low.
OK - you asked. The sweet tea was not sweet, and worse, tasted like the crock hasn't been cleaned out in a long time. The fries are the best thing. The chicken, which sometimes is too blackened, was too salty this time. Slaw is pretty tasty, though with too much dressing. And they're one of these places whose system asks you for a tip before you get your food, and they don't even have table service. You always wonder if you don't go ahead and tip that they'll spit in your food or worse.
It smelled so good but as soon as we saw the sanitation grade (86.5), we turned around and left. Very disappointing.
Great food chicken and sweet plantains out of this world.
Amazing food! Perfect chicken, delicious plantains, black beans and slaw
Unbelievable spanish rotisserie chicken!
The Orchata drink is a must
Delicious and flavorful. The cilantro vinaigrette was very tasty on the salad and rice. Reminded me of my time in Lima, Peru!
Best Rotisserie Chicken in town!! Incredible authentic sides too. Try the Pollo Saltado if you're feeling more adventurous. It's literally my death row meal.
Its was fantastic! Fast friendly service! The food was excellent!!!
I like this place, staff is friendly, food is always good. I like the yellow and green sauce they have too to go on your entree.
Because of the authentic cuisine, I give Mami Noras Rotisserie Chicken three stars. However, with a Restaurant Score of '89,' one should use caution when ordering / eating at this restaurant.
Always delicious! I had a quarter white meat and double black beans (so good I always get two). This time I tried something new, Chi Cha Morada! It is a delicious homemade beverage made of purple corn, pineapple, cinnamon and clove. Very sweet like sweet tea, but absolutely delicious!
Stopped by for a bite to eat before a concert. Waited an hour, no food. Not even an apology. I lost $25 and they lost a customer.
Best chicken in town. Be sure to try the tostones (fried plantains).
Really good good. The chicken is very flavorful. Love the rice. A favorite dish is the Arroz Chaufa which is a stir fried rice dish. Very good.
Food was good but the decor inside could use some work.
I love the food here. Crazy busy during lunch but quick service considering.
Charcoal grilled chicken with a variety of sides. Good flavor. There is a nice selection of hard to find soft drinks. The FF are hand cut and tasty.
This place has potential, but was also kind of a let down. The wait time around lunch was way too long. Took at least 20 minutes to order and get served. The chicken was very good, I really Like Peruvian rotisserie. The choices in side items is poor and should be expanded. I got rice and salad. How to you screw up rice? in this case by letting it sit around and dry out, and over salting it. How do you screw up a side salad? In this case by using stale precut lettuce that was all brown on the outside edges, and just not fresh. I did like the cilantro dressing a lot, too bad I could not enjoy the salad.
Great chicken and sides with delicious sauces. Also an excellent place for grabbing dinner on your way home. There can be a line though.
AMAZING Chicken! Delicious, fresh sides. Recently discovered their tasty coleslaw, it's now my favorite side, and it's hard to choose a favorite there! & ALWAYS Friendly!
So
Something different
One of my favorite places in Raleigh. Amazing chicken, great service and beer.
I love this place and Mami Nora's as well. They have the best rotisserie chicken I know of. Also, their rice and black beans are very basic but SO good. I could eat their rice all day long with nothing on it. Honey mustard and green sauce mixed together add a nice touch to an already tasty dish. Yucca Fries, Maduros, dessert! You name it, it's so good!
My wife and I eat here at least once a month. Great individual and family portions that make it easy to feed one or many.
So good you may visit your parents and slap your Mom for never making her chicken that good.
Chicken real good. Sides selection is limited. My order was incorrect twice but it wasn't a major concern because I had time and I laughed about it with the staff.
Very good atmosphere. Tasty food. The only thing that is very expensive. For 4 people it was $ 40. There should be more accessible offers.
Good food but the seating area could be better! The leather booths have seen better days!
Staff was friendly, food was decent enough but i had to deduct because the white meat was so dry.
First time coming here and they weren t serving any chicken and did not have any sides. The store also has a sanitation rating of 89.0. Alpaca is much better.
Best flavored chicken I have had. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner
