I discovered the shop on a Sunday by searching on Internet for an open butcher. Even the shop was 10 miles away from where I live the result was so impressive and I was so delighted. Even though I went to buy some meat I discovered the most delicious bread I have ever tried in England. I had tested the same bread in Turkey ( very famous bread known as Vakfikebir bread in Turkey).

The staff were so friendly and helpful. I asked for cornmeal that I couldn't find in big shops. they also didn't have it on sale in the shop but they found it for me and It made my day.

Finally, the meat was so delicious. I will definitely revisit the shop often.

I visited Malt Kilnsey Farm today and wanted more information about the fruit picking service and how it works due to Covid restrictions.
I spoke with a young man called Max and his customer service was fantastic.
I asked him many questions and he was happy to answer all of them. He was very helpful, polite and was happy to take time to help with my queries. He also offered to run through how I book a time slot step by step on his laptop.
I don't normally post, but he was lovely and I don't think people are told often enough when they do their job well....

Unbelievably managed during COVID. If you want COVID, go here. Queue for the cafe was huge and absolutely no social distancing. Loos packed with people. People walking all over the place without any one way system - I saw a couple of arrows on the floor, no one policing / guiding customers. This is on a Wednesday. Unbelievable failure of management.

Plenty of friendly staff. Ample room to shop and browse. Quality meat, veg and groceries. Fabulous gifts and local crafts. Good parking. A quick shop is possible however, to browse and shop for more than you go for is very tempting. The shop is great and it's also a relaxing place to meet up with friends for a nice coffee and snack.

Went to the cafe, great fresh cooked simple food on fresco menu. Safe and clean, friendly staff. Shop is good for food choice, less so for plants this time, looked like frost had damaged a lot.

We were able to purchase everything we came for. This included fresh meat and vegetables, also locally produced beer and cider. The new improved drive and extended carpark made for easy access.

Went last weekend for pumpkin picking and had the muddiest walk to get to the pumpkin area! The kids had fun being dirty in the mud and choosing a pumpkin/squash. I also liked they have a cafe and shop to buy their produce. Will definitely come back in the spring/summer.

We have come here to buy pumpkins for years.

Love to find all the different shapes and colours you find nowhere else.
Makes for the most interesting faces at Halloween.
Has good food in the store and general items make good gifts

Love the pick your own pumpkin part however there was quite a queue for the shop. I get that its for covid social distancing reasons but the queue was quite slow moving. Worth a visit regardless.

First visit to Malt Kiln Farm Shop and was surprised by how nice it was. We had lunch in Rebecca's Kitchen which was excellent and not to expensive. There was a good variety of plants, produce, meat and deli plus other goods for the home and garden. We would definitely recommend coming here and we shall be visiting again soon.

I have been coming here for years but after this year I think I will be finding somewhere else.

You have to book online this year and they give you all the information you need about the pick your own on there too.

After we arrived, we were told that there was a shortage on the strawberries. I wouldn't have found this too much of an issue if they had either let us know on their website or had contacted us to let us know. Most of the strawberries that they did have were tiny, not ripe yet or just plain old rotten and mouldy.

It is the old bait and switch tactic and I would expect much better from them.

There seemed to be a shortage on all of the pick your own. It didn't seem worth being open with how little stuff they had left but they stay open and misadvertised so they can take more of your money.

The supermarket has a nice atmosphere with good local produce. However, the cafe is too pricey with very average dishes. I ordered a mocha but tasted like powdered hot chocolate. I think most people go there for the relaxing ambience rather than the food.

Customer service has totally gone out of the window here. Yes we need to follow the social distancing measures but to describe the atmosphere as distrustful, fearful and rude doesn t do justice to how appalling my visit was. I very nearly walked out and left my shopping behind but the phrase cutting off my nose to spite my face came to mind.
FYI. I work as a home shopping delivery driver for ASDA and despite and because of the measures we ve put in place to protect not only our customers but myself my high standards of service have not slipped.

Having visited earlier this year, I was pleased to see that the shop has expanded. It now has a tea room, butchers counter, fruit and vegetable counter, alongside craft beers etc. The value seemed good and it clearly has plans to expand further.

This time in season, one place to go with your kids and spend some quality time with your family. Good walk in the farm field where you can see and pick strawberries, rasberrie, black current , string beans and . They got a farmshop and pretty much everything you get there. After walk from the files you can enjoy coffee and bites from the spacious cafe. We loved our day there. It's a good outdoor place.

Visited for produce, plants & coffee as we could use an outdoor space. My first visit anywhere since lockdown was eased ,so was very nervous. Impressed with social distance queuing & cleaning regime in cafe ( incredibly thorough!) . Will most definitely return. Thankyou

Very good meat, cheese, fruit & veg and all the add ons (including wonderful bread in the second half of the week) from their own farm or local producers. This is a family business, really well run, which has survived total destruction by fire a few years ago, and rebuilt itself - all credit to the owners and staff.
If you haven't visited, give it a go ! If you have you'll know what I mean.

Oh my, they should rename their food, I chose an Avocado on toast with poached egg with vine ripened tomatoes. it was a monster!
Loved every bite
Why choose a Starbucks or hotel to hold a business meeting when there are places like this
