Maloney’s Roca Bar Review

We arrived for an early lunch the day after Christmas. Very attentive service and great food. We must have gotten 5 rounds of drink refills without asking and the waitress even brought us 'to-go' cups. Definitely worth stopping here for a good quality meal.

Love the atmosphere there it was my first time at this pizza place. And everyone was so nice and welcoming. Not to mention we kinda got a bonus cause they had a band out there over the weekend to. Date nightn, pizza, salad and music was totally worth it. We also watched like 20 people loose to the claw machine every bit of 30$ and no prize. May not be worth playing lol.

Service was very prompt and the food was great. Will definitely go back there soon.

Had a business meeting and had a nice comfortable space to conduct business. Good food and a very nice wait staff.

I like sour mop in the bar area when I got there. I sat at a different table on the outside patio but the music was so loud I could not hear myself think other patrons were also complaining about the volume and had to move once more. Barely ok if you are in to cheap beer and just OK pizza.

Roca Bar has become a favorite when we are visiting our hometown. We have had excellent food and service every time we've been there.

Beautiful location and lots of free parking. I been going there for about three years. The prices keep go up, sadly food quality not so must. We ate in, pizza and salad for my wife, the pizza was cold and all salad

The Around the World pizza is excellent. Good salads. Good variety of beer on tap. Friendlly helpful, staff.

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered the club panini. It was quite the sandwich. Generous in size. Brought half home. Service was great.

Have only had salad and wings here, but both were good and filling.

Went for a wedding rehearsal dinner, took forever to order. It was a Thursday night, not too busy. My chicken was black on one side and very dry! The waitress never checked if I wanted more water, and others had to flag her down for mixed drinks. Took awhile to get checks. Not impressed at all!

Decent pizza. Not a fan of thin crust, but that's okay. Not used to salad having olives in it, but they got me a small personal one.

There is nothing they serve that I have not tried and loved! Great food, great prices, and awesome staff.

Started off good then quality went to side. Pizza is good when the toppings actually make it to the side of the pizza now. Order one size bigger because the outside ring will be crust with a smudge off sauce if your lucky.

The house salad with an extra order of dressing and a pizza...excellent supper and great service!

Hard to get service. After placing order it took an hour to get it to the table!!!

I think roca bar is a good place to eat. Their pizza seems to have changed. It is good, but seems to actually be better now. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it seemed to take longer than usual to get out food. The restaurant portion was empty except for us and it was noticeably long to get the food. In all fairness there may have been a group in an adjacent room.

All in all, it s worth the visit.

Food is hit and miss. Music on Friday and Saturday helps with the sub-par food.

Their hot wings (fire) are off the wall. Blistering Hot, but Flavorful.

The quality of the food is not worth the price. Kids grilled cheese sandwich had burnt cheese. The cheese on the pizza seemed to be barely melted. An outside table was offered but with dirty tables and smoking, it was not a good experience.

Great service and food. Our server was very professional and took great care to make sure we were happy with our dining experience.

Called for carry out order at 9:30 with a 10 closing time and was told the kitchen was already closed.

Worst spaghetti, paid 12$ for watered down noodles, had to drain the water out of the plate.

Chicken was not cooked bills got mixed and mixed again. Only reason to go back is to hope you get a smaller bill! On a good note, the beer was cold!

Did not live up to expectations. Pizza sauce tasted a bit like katchup.

Our pizzas were excellent. So were the onion rings. Our server was doing double duty as bartender. She was amazing...friendly and efficient!

In town for a convention. Great service and amazing food! Highly recommend Roca Bar North.

Ordered carry out from Northside location .
I call and I m put on hold for 5 minutes. I hand up and call back and my order is taken . I ordered 2 large pizzas one pepperoni and cheese the other was meat lovers . I had side of onion rings with the Teriyaki Chicken . I get to restaurant and walk in I wait 10 minutes to be helped the girl tells me to drive around back . I get home and open pizza ..... It was cold and horrible. The onion rings still had uncooked batter. Not wasting my time or money anymore on this place . Horrible Customer Service

It must just be me others like it I would go to south Kentucky ave location before I went back. Girls at the hostess station were not accommodating when seating us the blonde just threw our menus on the table and walked off. At this time during the pandemic I am sure it is frustrating so it was forgivable. But that's why I upped it to 2 stars.

A great dining experience pizza pasta and a wonderful Italian salad

Pizza was fantastic. Back to the old recipe from S. Kentucky location. I ll be back!

This is a great Friday evening restaurant. Prices are reasonable and staff is always nice.

The building is very nice and the staff is friendly. I just don't find the value very good. It is a little expensive for pizza. The quality is okay, but doesn't really justify the price. Portions are fairly small for the price. It is a nice place to have a meeting or party though since they have a separate room in the back.

This place can't get orders right in drive thru when the lobby and seating are vacant, it was great before it fell apart. I also overheard don't spit in it as they discussed the fact that I was upset over their inability to make my order correct and didn't replace it as specified. Former employee, who loved original restaurant, but I'll never be back and won't support someone who would suggest a disgusting alternative to handling their own screw up.

My first visit here. Salad and pizza wad excellence! Highly recommend

Tvs around the whole place and no Sunday ticket. 8oz filet for 18.99!!! Whaaaat. Denny's has a better steak for half that. The salad omg... lettuce and cheese with half of a tomato slice. I have to say only one thing is good about this place. The pizza is good and they should stick to only that. Don't get anything but pizza from this place......

Be careful ordering the hot wings.....mine were raw in the middle.

Amazing food and beverages. Everything is good on the menu. It's a hidden gem.

The Italian sandwich was great. The chips were unbearably too salty. Great bar atmosphere. Great service, and clean restrooms.

This is a Evansville staple , must go if your in town, or from town and hungry. (*One of ) the best stromboli in town ( but you gotta be the judge of that ) great staff and a nice hometown feel .

Used to love their house salad...not now:-(. They tried to make it right by taking 6 dollars off the price, (and that was good.) We loved the waitress, Erin, she's a great waitress and a firecracker! Lettuce was bagged and wilted. They gave me new lettuce so I could save all the generous toppings, but it was still not good:"(. I'd go back when friends meet there and get a Coke, but that's about it for the food. Hubs had a pizza - just ok.

The patio was an awesome place for a Birthday meal.

The pizza crust was dry and the pizza didnt have any flavor. This was our favorite pizza in Evansville, but something changed. We wont go back, it was that bad.

Lunch every week. Great food, go with the wings and the potatoe pizza. They are MUST HAVES. Staff is always the best. Make sure to go to the patio on nice days, or the bar if you can. The regular area is great too, but I'm a bar fly.

Good salad but drinks are high and pizza is just ok

Roca Bar north is nice and I eat there frequently. However, the original Roca Bar on Kentucky Ave is a better experience for total bar pizza and salad. Gotta try them both.
