One lady had to be pushed i.e. to be persuaded to do a quotation for me because I was not sure if my purchases will exceed R5000.00 or not. Two othe staff members, "the persuader" and a merchandiser were exceptional.

The shop is well organize during this time, there will be a long queue but the line goes quick. There are 2 lines; main store and liquor store.

Dont forget you to wear your mask and grab a trolley to keep your distance.

They also sell a really good and comfortable mask for adults and kids!

Keep safe and dont forget to enjoy every moment

I love that u get bulk at a reasonable price. Their electronic department is really great. Makro might need to get bigger cos it's always busy. I enjoy my visits there. Been shopping there for over 20 years.

Shereen in the Large Appliance section is incredible. Phoned to ask about and dishwasher and when we arrived, it was on the trolley waiting for us. That is customer service at it's very best. Well done. If only all shopping experiences could be like this. Keep it up.

The customer service I received from Makro was jus...

The customer service I received from Makro was just phenomenal. I went to Makro Springfield for the first time to collect my online orders. The initial plan was to call an ubber to pick me up when I'm done. To my dismay my battery died. S'phe from the online team who was assisting me made sure I got a ride home. Everyone I had contact with that day was very friendly and welcoming.

NO STARS!!!!!!!!!!

NO STARS!!!!!!!!!!
I placed an order online on 26th Feb. My order was supposed to be delivered on 7th March. I still haven't received it. I have been passed onto so many call center agents and eventually got through to the store who advised they'd phone me back asap. Its now 5 hours later.
SHIT ONLINE SERVICE. NO RESPONSE. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Large department store housing almost everything. Gets extremely and insanely busy during weekends, sales and month end. Parking is large but gets full very easily. Specials offered are sometimes better than anywhere else but stock does move quite quick.

No aircon in the store, it is horrific to stand in there just for a short while, cant imagine how staff cope the whole day in there. I was dripping with perspiration and I was only there for an hour. Surely a big retailer like Makro can afford to ensure we all shop comfortably and take their staff wellbeing a little more seriously?

Nkuleko Khumalo was walking pass and instead of offering to assist , he chose to remind me that Makro does not offer empty boxes to assist with putting loose goods on a flat trolley and that I should take it like that and purchase a packet from the till point,Truly Absurd,
He did not even flinch to assist me with 15 x 750ml Domestos whereby he could have packed the shelf with 5 and give me the 15 in the box

Extremely helpful staff and I got what I wanted quickly and easily. The store is huge with ample parking and I'd be very surprised if someone doesn't find what they're looking for at a very good price.

Supervisor in returns section was very rude and unproffessional. Wasted my time while she stood and had her own conversation completely unrelated to retail at all. Goes by the name of Zaiboon Bux. An extremely unfriendly u reasonable lady who should definitely get reprimanded for the why she handles consumer affairs or maybe she should be in the back where she doesn't get to taint the name of makro anymore than she already has.

Place is undergoing a revamp.Not enough parking.Store is not lit properly in certain places.Not enough staff in the different departments.Prices differ from till to shelf leading us to leave some stuff behind due to price discrepancy of 50%.Cant understand why I still shop here.
UPDATE 01.03.18:NOTHING HAS CHANGED.in fact service is worse.Website says stock available but no stock on the floor.Left my details with a manager but to no avail.Bought item on the website and now they confirm that no stock is available and they will have to credit me back.1 week and still waiting.
