It was my birthday and they prepare a cake for me :) I loved how they care for there guests.
5 star hotel in the middle of makati's central business district. It has a pool, tennis courts, restaurants and shops. Its also located right in front of glorrieta 3
Excellent service by nice staff. Spacious rooms but dated already.
Checking-in and checking-out were a breeze. Breakfast was served at the Rizal Ballroom. Good food choices from different cuisines.
Great location. Very near shopping areas, hotels and restaurants, and very accessible.
Had in-room dining. Food was average, could be better.
With fairly new hotels and other nearby hotels undergoing renovations, Makati Shangri-la Hotel may have to follow suit.
One of my favorite hotels in the city. Attentive and warm. That's why I love staying here. Keep up the excellent job. <3
A well-known place to organize events, especially big ones. The hotel is famous for its location and well-done services of diplomatic functions.
Amazing resort, malls all around. Tidy and best service
very accommodating and well trained employees they've got. i highly recommend this Hotel
it's a good experience during my stay at shangri-la makatulong. I enjoyed the food, swimming and ambiance in the hotel. Keep it up.
Staying at the Shangri La Makati is like coming home to me. There are far more newer hotels around but I still go to Shangri la Makti namely for the staff and it's location.
Very impressed by the service staffs attention on small details. Pleasantly surprised upon checkin on nice gestures like belated birthday wishes and a birthday cake.
Belle and the team are just fantastic !
Thank you so much for making my stay at Shangri-La so wonderful !

We had a back to back booking - in our first room, I found stain on the the bed sheet, I was disappointed but I didn't mention it to my husband cuz I know he will definitely say something considering the price per night here and possibly blame me cuz I insisted staying here... in the next room assigned to us, we found a pair of used complimentary slipper on the floor - this time I couldn't help it but asked my husband, am I supposed to use the slipper someone already used??? Made me think if the the rest of the beddings and towels were changed or recycled for the next guest/s (us). We are disappointed considering this is a 5-star hotel?
Breakfast is not impressive - my husband even said, there is nothing like the breakfast at the hotel we previously stayed at.
The hotel lobby looks nice.
if you want the best food available in Makati , its either here or Bondi & Bourke, END OF
Makati Shangri-La is a place to feel home and to be home with nice friendly people around us who treath us as if we are a part of the family in Shangri-La everywere we come .
Attended a UKEAS convention in one of Shangri-la's halls last year, and even just the lobby was amazing.
Check in was fast and they even upgraded our room from Superior to Deluxe because it's was our anniversary. I also requested the anniversary set-up and a bouquet a day before our check in and Guest Relations Officer Kim was really helpful with my requests. My only concern is that there is no bidet on the toilet. Overall, our stay was excellent and in fact, we are going back again for my mother's birthday on October.
i would have to say , this would be the last i would stay in this shangri la.
Have been HC guest for many years and everytime we arrive the friendlyness and hospitality of the hotell staff from security/doorgirls/porters and other servicemembers are absolutely superb, not to mention the HC staff, they are one of a kind.
Staff- accommodating, really helpful. Offer sound solutions and alternative options when you try requesting something.
Place- clean. Nice interior. Fancy classy
Room- we had horizon club executive room. It has additional benefits like evening cocktail, separate breakfast lounge, etc. It was clean and spacious.
Amenities- it s okay. Typical pool for adults and kids and gym.
Nice hotel. Though the water in the bathroom is greenish.
Great location, nice views of Makati CBD. Very warm receptionists and staff. Requested to change room and front desk had me transferred in no time. I forgot to sign my bill after the lunch buffet but the in-charge took the trouble to take it to my room. I love the buffet and the wine served with white cheese.
Hotel rooms are dirty. Got allergies and rashes. poor overall experience. lack of flexibility.
Loved staying at your hotel!
Friendly and polite staff. Nice good food and lovely gym, spa and pool area.
Too sad it was so cold everywhere
If you just turned up the heat just one degree that would help both the environment and would probably not bother guests.
The hotel interior was dated including room furniture that needed replacement
otherwise the entire hotel staff made for a memorably enjoyable stay !
Excellent hotel in the heart of Makati, Manila. Great service from the staff & enjoyed the stay, food, et all.
It was an awesome experience. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent service. Great food. My kids want to go back!
Your personnel staff from the Front Desk to your cleaners to your Restaurant staff were very accommodating to our needs, most especially, since we had our Grandchild with us, who enjoyed the stay just as much as we enjoyed it too.
staff friendly and efficient at Check in/out , at Horizon Club and at lobby lounge .. .. shower room need to be cleaned thoroughly, especially the mold between tiles.. check electrical power points, some are not working or not connecting,
The overall experience was great. It was nice we were able to extend our stay a little bit. The location is perfect and we walked around for a bit. Only thing was that there was a drill scheduled at 2am, my husband ended up waiting for it but we didn t know if it actually happened as no one called/knocked at our door. Also, help/assistance was kind of short when checking in after we had our car taken for valet. Would have been nicer if someone was there upfront to get our things and help us to the front desk. Will still come back.
I hope our room had a bidet :) but overall, still worth the stay :)
Love staying at Makati Shangrila! Friendly & courteous staff, excellent location & the food is great.
Food was excellent. Service is great. Personel is super honest. I mistakenly gave the key with 500 to the bell boy when we are checking out. He came back to my room return the 500 peso bill.
Facilities is great, but far from factories area.... Traffic takes 3hrs to reach destination.
Outstanding service. Just a business lunch but everything just right
Awesome experience and the check in staff made sure our stay was memorable. Professional and couteous. 5 star experience in a lovely hotel
Great hotel with very good service. Safe and close to shopping, easily walkable. The standard rooms could do with an upgrade though.
Hotel renovation is too old..there is a moldy smell once enter the room, light is too dark , but luckily the staff is so helpful and friendly , polite with good smiling as well
Just like last year, we had a pleasant and relaxing experience for our family s Christmas staycation for 2017. I wish to commend your accommodating staff, the good food and relaxing ambience that made our annual staycation truly memorable and pleasant.
We've experienced no queuing nos. who will guide us at the reception area for checking in.
We understand the situation during peak season but you should have anticipated what will be happening.
I hope you will act on this.
Thank you.
This place is showing its age and needs a renovation . The Shangri-La at the fort (BGC) is far better.
Customer service is Top notch, however rooms are very dated and in need of serious refurbishment. For that price point, the room needs to be more modern.
Centrally located in the Makati business district it is beside a mall, a museum and parks. The food is very good and the conference facilities are outstanding.
The Makati Shangri-La, Manila is a 5-Star hotel. It is absolutely wonderful. I requested a wheelchair accessible room but the travel agency at my company did not pass that onto the hotel. Even though the bathroom did not have the normal accessibility items, I managed. My room was beautiful, the bathroom was all black marble and very beautiful. The restaurants were unbelievable. Dim sum for breakfast everyday with a choice of Thai, Chinese, and Italian for dinner every night.
Excellent overalll: service, ambiance, amenities, breakfast team.
My only suggestion since I also booked an Executive Filipiniana Suite for three nights is that they have two rooms ( 2 queen beds) available room. Every night, I have to set up 2 rollaway beds in the living room for my two sons Since we have a huge Filipino family visiting us in our room, I don t want the rollaway beds to be there permanently during our whole stay.
But this is one of the top hotels our family have stayed in.
Service is good. Property is not well maintained and tired. Room smells. If it is not because of the location, I will not stay there.
The Shangri-La Makati is first class when it comes to experience. The level of service and ambience within the hotel is spot on. Although there are newer five star hotels in Manila the Shangri-la gets it right.
Loved it on the 27th floor. Awesome room and buffet for dinner. breakfast buffet was okay too =] Dinner buffet was fantastic staff is intelligent and valuable, Andrew helped with our plane tickets and that was a great help, dealing with PHIL airlines
people are nice. multiple dine-in restaurants spread throughout inside. There's pianos spreadout too with one in the center in the back. there were people singing when i was there and it was nice. This place has a buffet called "circles."
We have stayed previously with other brand hotels availing a business class accommodation but our son stayed with us for free and free access to its lounge but with Shangrila we have to pay adfitional for him.
Nobody can compare to Ms. Joan Yee's excellence in how she receives the hotel guests. She is an asset to Makati Shangrila.
We tried out our Voucher for an overnight stay at the Hotel, and i think it was good stay. We initially called up to reserve/book a room in advanced so we are sure to have one when we get there. One thing i would like to have been given a heads up is that there would be a deposit of Php 5,000.00 before checking in. Since we were given a voucher, we thought it was all taken care off, it was good that we actually had money on us.
Other than that, our stay was good, specially that i was The Holy Week. The pool was pretty clean even it being the afternoon. We took our Baby to swim and we were all smiles. Accommodation and hospitality is a big even with the the staff that we walk by.
In the morning, the Breakfast was good. Pretty packed by the time we left though, but very good food. It was a continental breakfast and the Chefs we on top of everything.
All in all, our stay was great, the food was great, the staff were courteous and friendly. I would recommend the stay. It maybe pricey, but in turn, you do get taken care of.
Despite the pandemic, there's a fair amount of guests at the hotel. Strict health safety measures are observed. There is a sense of safety inside the rooms since no other personnel enters it during your stay. The staff as always are courteous and helpful. Of course, location is a huge factor.
Nice room, quiet, friendly staff, CR good water pressure but missing mixing faucet, rooms need improvements getting old specially carpets, cleaning ....show once in the corners and under the bed
Nice hotel and nice location, too. We love the facilities here and the service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of food choices at Circles and tastes great, also. We also love the Lobby Lounge espeically when there's live music. It is nice to have Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge.
It's my first time staying in a Shangrila hotel and they did not disappoint. Makes me wanna strive to get a good job to afford to stay in another shangrila hotel in the future.
This was my first time in Makati Shangri la.
Stayed on the Executive Suite and it was very nice. However the Wifi connection was a bit slow than what I expected.
I was carrying a heavy tray of fruits when I entered the premises but no one dared to help me out even though there was a lot of staff standing there. I hope that they become more mindful of their surroundings to serve the customers better.
The gym was nice as well. The pool was also good and child friendly.
Breakfast was awesome food selection was great.
It was relaxing and we enjoyed our overnight stay. Special mention to Mr. Raymond Alarcon, Duty Manager who was very accommodating and friendly.
Every service staff was extremely courteous and attentive.
Still the nicest branch of Shang in the Metro for its service and staff but it now needs renovating as the look and feel of the room starts to look outdated. Towels dont smell fresh after 1 use and couch need to be cleaned properly as they start to feel itchy and throw pillows smell.
Excellent breakfast buffett and walking distance to all the shopping malls. Location is great & safe. Manila is very congested & traffic is so bad, save yourself some time and walk! The room smells bad like it hasnt been use for ages but its ok I was out & about the whole time & hardly spent time except sleeping in the room, other than that I enjoyed my stay for 4 nights.
Makati Shangri-La Hotel
The hotel is luxurious and beautiful in everything that belongs to the international Shangri-La Hotels Group. It is located in the middle of the golden district in Makati, Manila, close to everything in Makati. It is made on the upper floors.
