Very nice there, the staff also (i gave 1-1 dollar tipping day by day), the food is delicious, but the hot water in the bathroom is like a ghost... Sometimes turns up
The beach is clean, the marine is rich in life.

Was with my girlfriend 1 week there on vacation and have to say, I liked it a lot.
Very nice staff who also had surprisingly good German language skills, very good food (2 buffet restaurants, 2 ALaCarte restaurants and 2 snack bars) good cocktails and other international drinks.
The area as well as the beach were always very well maintained and clean. The rooms are very nice and especially big.

The only two negative points:
There is Wi-Fi only in the lobby and this was very bad
If you do not tip while eating, the waiters are hardly looking at you, which is normal in Egypt.

I have been in Egypt for the seventh and then 3 times in Makadi Palace, to my knowledge it is the best hotel in Egypt, even better than the all-valued Titanic Palace. There is no better dive anywhere than this hotel. They have luxurious food and exceptional service. The whole staff is at the hotel nice for tourists including the cleaners. Staff are really trying. I have to say that the whole hotel is very well maintained. have never seen a tray or a pot be rolled on the grass so the pool is really clean. But what surprised me so much is to hear loud music playing late in the evening until midnight from the bars. Very Oriental area. Many restaurants. I have to praise the pier located in Grand Makadi. Diving at the pier is unbelievably amazing, I saw a two-meter tortoise, a rabbit, a mantle, a multi-meter morgue. I strongly recommend everyone. Transport from the airport is either a free bus or a taxi for 6 euros.

Sorry but as much as I loved my past Egypt holidays this was the worst I've been on. The hotel is in need of a good revamping. Holes in walls and ceilings. Tiles broke all around the pool and in pool. Furniture old and worn out. Plus lots to mention. Then as for the moment you arrive it was not a nice experience . For new year we decided to go to this hotel but wish we didn't. Checking in was the most unpleasant experience I have had in any hotel I've visited. First instead of going to the reception the men on the door told us to sit in lobby area what was dark and gloomy. Then somebody who could of been anybody asked for our passports and fill a form in putting all details on. After travelling all day it was very disorientating. Then while I was filling this form out in the near dark using my torch on phone to read it hotel staff were trying to sell us cocktail drinks and tickets for a gala dinner on new year's eve at 89 euros per person. What a scam considering its an all in hotel and Thom cook sold us this with gala evening in mind. Not a chance we said. So for new year we sat in a piano bar drinking the new year in for 20 euros pp. Not bad that. NOT. That was normally a free all in bar but because it was new years eve they charged. We got diareah on 3rd day. Saw the hotel doctor. Food was rubbish and so was snacks. Most of the staff were excellent and tried to keep it as clean as poss but you can't polish a third. Many more things I could say but I hope you get the point.

Rubbish drinks.Food not very good. All inclusive doesn't mean what it says.Rooms quite dated. Some rude ignorant staff especially beach bar managers.Entertainment rubbish. Some you have to pay for.It would have been a 1 star but for having a brilliant room man called Mahmoud. It was a predominantly German hotel and we were made to feel like second class citizens (not by the Germans but by some members of the hotel staff).Needless to say we will not be going back to this hotel.

Fantastic exotic feel, nothing too much trouble for the staff or management, plenty of smiles friendly conversation and lovely surroundings sun, sand, and Sea. It was our first visit to Egypt but it will not be our last. I cannot tell you how good the experience was. And the History of the place wow.. it's a living breathing museum of wonder. The people are lovely and if you even try to learn a bit of Egyptian like a simple hello or thankyou, you really make their day. The snorkelling in the red sea is amongst the best in the world and as such every colour and style of fish is right on your doorstep.. take your underwater camera..
We did a few trips, the quad bikes, dune buggies, jeep safari and visited the valley of the kings along with a trip down the river Nile.
The hotel we stayed in the Makadi Palace is part of a group of hotels owned by Red Sea resorts. And I can tell you if you are thinking of a relaxing, safe family friendly hotel, then the Palace is a fantastic choice.
If you are thinking of going to the Makadi Bay area and want any questions answered, I am happy to answer any questions I can, as I know I was apprehensive before my visit....

Just returned from a 2 week holiday which was split in to two as went on cruise in between ....hotel has everything you need and does what it says on the tin....although there is a lot of Germans and sometimes staff seem to look after them more attentively but for me the food was great the snorkaling was fantastic and the room was roomy and everything we needed.....the all inclusive takes abit of working out but once you found your feet it's very good, also the excursions by red sea holidays were all very good except the shopping in hurgarda one of the places you stop is a new zoo....and it was cruel...so avoid this other then that we had a great time and were well fed.....such a large variety of food we always ate at the dome...brilliant. the 7 day cruise to Aswan from luxor was exceptional really did enjoy it and felt so comfy on a beautiful boat ms grand rose....highly recommend.

We have just come back from a week's stay here and couldn't of chose a better hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful and the complex was beautiful.
Most of the restaurants were nice although we didn't rate the discovery bar (very greasy food) but if you want self service and a good veriaty the the dome was the best place to eat.
Alittle advice on the trips..... If you book the shopping trip to hurghada then don't book the beach party as there on the same day and you find yourself rushing when you've got back from shopping to get ready from the beach party, we arrived back at the hotel at nearly 7.30pm and the beach party was at 8pm.
The snorkeling trip was amazing but its a full day trip with only an hours snorkeling when you could go to the beach or the jetty and snorkel for as long as you want.
Overall the hotel was fantastic and the food (for the most part) was lovely. We are booking again for next Yr

In itself it is a really nice hotel, but it has just everything its pros and cons ... Mega much food selection, many restaurants ala Cart & two with buffet. The staff are super friendly, but only if you give them a tip! I was not even able to get a mat myself on the beach & put it on the bed, but then had to wait 5 minutes for the beach boy and should then tip it !? Under "All inclusive" promise some more than what is offered underneath. At breakfast, you are asked with a magical smile, if you want a freshly squeezed juice, then they bring him & ask for it but 2 ??
For all those who do not want to stomach problems on vacation: please no ice cubes and fingers away from the salad, otherwise you only hangs on the toilet All in all you can be quite satisfied with the holiday, but in the next Egypt holiday I might choose a different one Hotel.

The place looks super nice just as de rooms. The pools were nice but a litle boring. And the food was very good because you can choose a diferent restaurant everyday. There are lots of of other hotels in the resort where you can go freely

One word ... horror!

One word ... horror!

The complex looks like Phantasia Land (no joke, same structure) in the middle of a dead, dirty landscape.

The staff is only friendly for cash and the Finns really have a reason to pay for everything. Everywhere it's more than unhygienic (you catch something here very quickly).

The food is only enjoyable in the restaurants where reservations have to be made. If everything is fully booked and you have to eat in the Dome or in the Melange, the horror really begins.

The only real and beautiful thing is the underwater world.

Never again, not even for free.

Magnificent complex. Below average food. Predominantly German holiday destination, the staff struggle with English. Basic hygiene standards are not met.
Tips.
Take plenty of handwash and antibacterial hand gel, book to eat in the Discovery every night. Oh, eat at the sunset bar every lunch.
Won't go back.

Disappointing.

Disappointing.

No in-room wifi and air conditioning is "seasonal".

Food portions are small and many items cost extra even when your stay is "all inclusive"

Pools have lots of tree/plant debris and many missing tiles.

Left the hotel with sever stomach cramps and diarrhea.

Nice place for one week it's ok.
Hotel area is in the years and the food and drink is mediocre but all very nice and helpful.

After 14 days in July 2019, two adults and two children (7 and 8 years), we can unreservedly recommend the hotel from our own perspective due to the price-performance ratio. Consistently friendly staff, every request or advice is followed up immediately, the room was cleaned perfectly every day. As is typical for the country, we were always satisfied with the food and drinks. At Makadi Palace you can find honest and authentic five North African stars. Those who cannot or do not want to accept this should book one price category higher or not leave mainland Europe.

We'll be back and would like to thank the whole team for the great time :-)

Well we re to start, will never come back that s for sure, some of the staff are lovely and it s a clean hotel but omg do you get pressured to do stuff, you say no and they keep on, had someone selling beach party tickets one day and I said no a few times that I didn t want to go but ended up saying yes to get rid of them so I could relax, anyway I was sick from something I eat in the hotel along with a number of other people staying here so I didn t go and spent all night in my room, apparently I still had to pay for it and when I complained and said I wasnt paying they still made me pay half and had a right go at me because I had thrown out the receipt (well I didn t think I would need it) also I had got the same tablets from the chemist as everyone else and I was told that if I had been poorly I should of got them to call their doctor, I didn t see any point in me having to pay for a doctor when I wasn t at the point where I needed one, I just needed the tablets from the chemist and a day or so in bed, I wasn t about to die, if it had got worse and the tablets hadn t worked then yes of course I would call for a doctor but I wasn t at that point, the manager also said I should of gone and complained about them keeping on to buy tickets but I was at the other end of the hotel and it s a good walk to reception so couldn t be bothered to go up there, he had such a go in the lobby about the receipt, it was embarrassing (I really didn t think me not going would be such a big deal if I m honest, after all it s my holiday) also if the guy was on the beach taking the receipts and I had gone then he would have mine wouldn t he.

Food was ok, the dome just served same food everyday, didn t taste very fresh.

Will never return, probably worst holiday ever

Fantastic, great facility, clean, friendly staff, barrier-free hotel, wheelchair accessible, for a fee wheelchair to borrow. Everything your heart desires is made feasible here. Eat something for every taste here plentiful and versatile. We are happy u will be happy again.

I do not understand who writes good reviews. This hotel is 2 stars and not all inclusive, in the restaurants all drinks are paid and half of the menu too, which is free - it is impossible. The prices are higher than in Germany. In the rooms half of the furniture was broken, the fridge and the safe we did not work, only changed after two days. The dishes are dirty and broken everywhere. The service can wait an hour or two. The pool is knee length, you can not swim normally, it is only for kids. Cocktails, coffee and other drinks are just awful. This place is not worth the money - do not spoil your vacation.

We are not resting for the first time in this hotel, who rested in this hotel, he knows how to get there to get into a fairy tale. And now we have already taken the vouchers for 10.03.2019. Now we wait when we get to the fairy tale again! Very beautiful and green territory. The rooms are clean, cleaned every day. The sea is clear and warm. The staff is polite, everyone is friendly. The cuisine is very varied and always fresh. entertainment programs every day and a lot of lively beautiful and fascinating music, Animation at a height, entertainment activities for children in general will not leave anyone indifferent, even though there were no children on vacation, but they could not tear themselves away from children's animation. Special thanks to Alexandra for the care of customers, support and assistance in any matter. We recommend this hotel to everyone, for every taste there is entertainment and is also suitable for a relaxing holiday.

Same Makadi Bay that was a surprise for us, which is so nice and cozy, friendly people, hotel and beach staff. Red Sea is a fascination! Makadi Palace and Grand Makadi this is a 1000 and a 1 night .. Special praise to Shef Koch Ramasan Serib, to his kitchen, friendly manner to behave and waiter Ibrahim

Great hotel area with beautiful coral reef right on the beach. Glass bottom boat can save you. Water access between the corals are marked. A paradise for snorkelers! You feel like you're in the aquarium.

The third time rested in this hotel. Everything is just wonderful, a beautiful large and green area. Clean everywhere: on the street, in the rooms, on the beach. The hotel staff is very attentive and friendly. Animation at the height of live music in the evenings. The entrance to the sea is shallow, the sea is clean and beautiful. Many thanks to Alexandra for the attention, support and a pleasant surprise from the hotel I recommend to visit this hotel, you will not regret and will come back here again and again

Hotel Makadi Palace is located on the beachfront in Hurghada.
Calm, comfortable rest - there are direct entry into the sea and there is a panton, descending from which you can go snorkeling (a gorgeous underwater world, many fish).
The staff are very polite and always in a good mood. Everyone is smiling.
I would also like to thank Marina - a golden person, she always helped with everything, always smiles. You need to find out something - he will always tell you, take a tour of the hotel, write to a restaurant, explain where you can buy what. There would be more people like that! I ask the management to pay attention and encourage Marina!

The disadvantages of the hotel are a cold pool. It is impossible to swim in it, since there is a sea :)

Nice place for snorkeling, friendly staff specially reception. We will be back in March for the same room.

Price-performance was okay, the area is very nice, however, everything is quite a bit old. The rooms were big but worn. The food was really awful, disappointing for a 5 star property. The drinks in the hotel area (from the tap) all tasted of chlorine, that did not work. The coffee was inedible. For breakfast you got freshly squeezed orange juice and if you agreed you got the bill ( 2.50 per juice). Even a cappuccino or other coffee specialties you had to pay, all inclusive is different for us. The snack bar closed occasionally 30min. until 1st. rather as stated. The staff is friendly, as long as you have enough tip ready. Annoying were the massage and beauty salon types. The containers are on the beach and look absolutely unwelcoming and the prices are insanely high. We did not try it, but learned from other hotel guests that it was careless and painful. Better fingers away!

Nice with room for improvement!

Nice with room for improvement!

Nice area but definitely in terms of the rooms has seen better times.
The facility itself is clean. Beach chairs and cushions are unfortunately in poor condition. Service is nice and attentive. Food very tasty and varied.

Again and again. a 1+ i'm just reading from others that the food is the same after two weeks. That can not be true, you have here suburb over 13 different eateries of different categories. As an example, an Italian a Thai cuisine and much more of the rich 2 weeks holiday not to try it all out.

A beautiful hotel area. Palatial buildings and a beautiful, well maintained park landscape with many pools.
The house reef is really nice. But if you only want to swim you need good bathing shoes because the access to the sea is only possible via the reef crown and accordingly sharp-edged corals.
For the booked trip price sure a bargain. However, to take into account the need for renovation. The hotel opened in 2005, so old and worn it is.
All inclusive is only a basic supply, otherwise everything only for an extra charge. And all this today and tomorrow everything differently. All in all: more mass instead of class. Next time we book another hotel.

We have read an incredibly large review of this hotel, both excellent and bad, but 100 people 100 tastes and can not be satisfied, but for me this particular hotel is top both food and reptiles and people and delegates, and what about the baksis that everyone here mentions and it's hard for me to say that if you don't want to give baksis, don't shake in Egypt because it's just normal there, and I won't solve water in a bath like a lot of people, because we literally just slept in that room and it wasn't so catastrophic that it didn't work so from our side only the same plus + we caught unbelievably fucked the delegate Abanoub alias Abi and everything we wanted to advise or equip us so we can just be normal and not treat them like a handra

Back after an amazing week at Makadi Palace Hotel ...

Back after an amazing week at Makadi Palace Hotel in Hurghada.
This hotel is part of the 5-6 hotel group Red Sea Hotels in Makadi outside Hurghada.
It have recently been renovated and I would say that the renovation have been a success and they are now open for Buisness.
Reciving staff is very welcoming, so even if you just wantt o get to your rooom after 10 hours of travelling and transfer they want you to sit down relax and have a drink and some fruits. Relax and do this, please also get out of your comfort zone of not being asking for help. They are there to help you and if you use that you get so much better vacation. Everything from a room that is really what you want/need. To reservations of restaurants in the evevings to and help you want/need regarding tours etc.
We had a guy named Bahaa El din and he really made a difference to our week. He genuinly cared about us having the best week possible and he really walked the extra mile to make sure our week was as good as possible.

The best thing about Palaca is that it is very green areas and you have so many oases to sit down and relax and enjoy your day. As already said you have some of the best snorkling in the world just a short walk (10 min) to the Grand Hotel Pier. Then you just float with the current and 45 min later you land on tyhe beach of Palace hotel and you have had an amazing experience. Easy to get in and out of the water.
Breakfast we normally had at the Dome, A round buffe restaurant where you can sit inside or outside, Perfectly ok breakfast to start the day. The coffee is normally not so strong but we had nescaffe in the room so that gave the extra boost we neeed in the morning.
Lunch we either had at Grand Hotel Beachbar, Waterworld Pizzeria or Doem bufferestaurant. We where given access to both Grand and Sunwing in our All inclusive package. But you also have two very good hamburger places at Palace, Sunset Grill and Beach Bar.
Dinners we had at our three favourit restaurants, Please note that you have to book a table in advance, we used theService from Guest relations and booked for the whole week. So we tried Imnternational Buffet at Discovery, please note that even if you stand in line and take your own food as a buffee this is far from your regiular All inclusive buffe, This is really good food made in small portions and very often made to you as you wait in line.
Thai Garden an amazing pearl with really good Asian dishes, please make sure you dont missthis one.
Botanical Garden is the Fine Dining where you get really good food served at the table in a very nice surrounding. Please this is a must.
To summerize we had an amazing week at Palace, this was our 5:th stay at Red Sea Hotels in Makadi and the first at Palace. We will be back and we will then stay at Palace even next time.

Price fits. Cleanliness of the room and the bathroom unfortunately poorly - apparently come from loud "animals from towels tinker" not to clean. Mold in the bathroom! Rooms are renovated and inventory exchanged - then 5 stars would fit. (Greasy sofa) food excellent. Staff very friendly. Snorkeling over the long jetty. Locked in strong wind.

Good

Architecture and gardens are unbeatably beautiful. The staff friendly, the sun shines almost always. The beach promenade enables a daily walk for physical exercise. The food and drinks offer is okay. The weakest point is coffee. The price / performance ratio is definitely okay.
