We stayed in the old building and that was awesome. The Majestic is the tallest building in Anacortes and it has a seating area that's above roof level with a 360 view. Grab a drink and go sit up there to watch the ships coming and going. Beaches and parks are plenty. Nice spot for a date night.

The greatest, most attentive and welcoming staff to be found in Skagit County and beyond! Beautiful historic building in old Town Anacortes. Gorgeous, comfy rooms, rooftop dining with amazing views, fantastic food and drink! Your needs are met and much more!

My husband and I wanted to get away from Seattle for the night before we welcome our baby in the coming months. We selected this hotel specifically because of the rooftop bar; we thought it would be a great place to relax around the fire pit and spend some time together while I am not the most mobile over Memorial Day Weekend. We paid over two times more than other hotels in the area because this was the one with great views in a setting where we could relax. When we arrived we were told the rooftop was closed. When we asked further we were told it was closed Sunday - Tuesday and was a liability to open without staff. On the website there is fine print that says "open seasonly and weather permitting". The weather was incredible and it was a holiday weekend!

Service was average. We requested extra pillows the previous day when we booked, which weren't in the room. Our key didn't work and the front desk was short with my husband when he brought it down to get it rekeyed. Also the room service order was incorrect. For the cost of the hotel, it was not what we expected for our night away. Save your money!

The Majestic is the best option in Anacortes, perfectly located in the town center. It has 2 buildings, a historic one and the more modern one. I personally like the cracking floors of the historic building and its stained glass dome but I stayed also in the new building and it was as comfortable. Don't miss a drink on the roof top bar for nice views over the town, the harbor and the surrounding islands.

Sadly... not a good experience. I have been leery of eating here after coming down with being sick a few times after I had eaten here in the past. However, last night was a special occasion. We ate here for a birthday dinner on Friday night. It was a slow night since it was the day after Thanksgiving. There were only a few people in the dining room and bar. (So it was not busy). The service was probably the worst service I have ever witnessed. The waitress was not friendly and spent more time gabbing with the coworkers in the entry way than actually serving the guests!!! (Maybe she s in the wrong line of work?) Last night was a special occasion- but in this case it was beyond subpar. I feel incredibly bad for my friend who decided this was where she wanted to celebrate her 70th birthday only to have find out we could have had better service at a McDonalds! One of the members of our table arrived about 10 minutes late, all the drinks had been served already- she just wanted a glass of wine, it took over 20 minutes to get that glass of wine! By then all our drinks had been finished. One of our party members had to get up and go ask for her wine only to discover the waitress gabbing with two other girls at the front desk. This was while the wine just sat on the receptionist counter while she was visiting. When she discovered one of our guests asking for the wine she rolled her eyes, as our friend turned away. This was all before she even took the food orders! At this point we had been sitting for 45-60 minutes and finally had a chance to order. As the waitress took our food order she mentioned something undertone about about how the kitchen wasn t running smoothly tonight and my husband and I decided we didn t want a night of stomach aches or getting sick so we declined to order food- however it took almost another 40ish minutes for the rest of the guests to get dinner. Other members of our group decided they would get better service if they went into the bar and ordered drinks there directly. From the time we sat down at 630-8pm we still hadn t seen dinner delivered to the table! So glad my husband and I went somewhere to get dinner after this because it was not worth the wait. This place could be really a wonderful restaurant! But sadly it is a lukewarm mess.

Rooms are clean, waterfall shower is a huge plus. Staff was friendly and they had fresh ground coffee on request, as much as you can drink which is a big plus if you are a coffee drinker. In house spa, nothing more needed to be said there. Will be returning, worth the money!

One of the best things about this place is the location. So many good restaurants and breweries right there. Not far from attractions either!

Excellent stay! Cheyenne(the woman at the front desk) was so kind to us! When I told her the DVD player wasn t working, she upgraded us to a better room for FREE! Both rooms were great but having a balcony and giant bath was very appreciated. Great hotel in a very nice town, would highly recommend!
