Hotel was wonderful, couples massage left bruises all over my body. Husband had just had surgery on his shoulder, also made sure they were aware, and after his massage, his shoulder was in pain.

Spent a nice quiet evening in a king suite in the new wing of the hotel. We loved the overhead rain shower head and nicely finished bathroom. Very convenient to be able to walk to dinner and breakfast in the morning (we did not eat breakfast in the hotel). We also enjoyed a nice couples massage at the Apothecary Spa and were able to take a slightly later checkout to accommodate our spa appointment.

Perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. We were greeted with genuineness and care. Our room was in close proximity to everything we needed. Island adventures: whale watching excursion partners with this luxurious accommodation. Travelers, pack your bag for a trip to Anacosta's Majestic Inn located at 419 Commercial Ave. Incredible experience!!!

This place was fantastic. Stayed here Labor Day weekend - staff was very friendly and the rooftop patio/bar was really nice. It s pricey - but a nice place to stay - we would stay here again.

Try to get a room on a high floor for a water view.

Fun

Enjoyed a wedding reception in their rooftop ar sunset. It was absolutely gorgeous. The food was delightful and the staff working our reception were incredible. Thank you for making the bride and grooms night perfect!

Very nice hotel. Beds are very soft. Rooms are updated but retain their classic architectural style. We ordered the clam chowder and vegetable lasagna from room service and both were very good. The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating when we arrived early. They are following all the Covid protocols.

We loved it. My husband and i went for our anniversary it was so pretty in the historic building. The other building has a roof top lounge. Great service and they are totally willing in most cases to cut you a deal.

I accidentally left a four star rating previously. Majestic Inn is 5 stars and more. We enjoyed libations at the rooftop bar. Amazing service, drinks, and view. GREAT TIME! My apologies for the accidental 4 star. You earned much better!

Very large, comfortable and quiet rooms. Our room had a kitchen with an almost full sized refrigerator. Kitchen had plates, silverware, etc. Grocery store is very close by. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have a coffee press in each room. When you check in the clerk will grind coffee for you. Compliments of the house!

My husband and I visit Anacortes every year and stay at Majestic. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Thank you Blanca for taking care of our room. We ordered room service (breakfast) Friday morning. Our breakfast was cold when it arrived to the room and I ordered pepper jack cheese on my scrambler and there was no cheese. We would of called the front desk to give the feedback but we had a whale watching tour we needed to get to. The hotel is beautiful and roof top deck but not sure I would spend the money on room service .

This hotel is very charming. The service is excellent. Very friendly front desk staff. We were to depart before the front desk typically has coffee ready and Bill made us a special pot just for us. It was so thoughtful. He went above and beyond to ensure we'll definitely be coming back!

Gorgeous! Beautiful views! Historic feel. Clean and well located to restaurants and shops. Staff at the front desk were lovely and very helpful. Yummy fresh French press coffee for the room. Nice big bathroom and closet. Bar fridge and TV. Local wine and nuts in room for purchase. Would highly recommend staying here

This was a beautiful hotel in downtown Anacortes with antique charm. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but we enjoyed the luxurious charms of fresh ground French press coffee upon our arrival. Great restaurants nearby made it quaint with small town charm.

The Majestic Inn is the best hotel in the Skagit Valley, and I would highly recommend staying there! If you are looking for an event venue, they are also spectacular and well fitted for such an event!

My husband and I ended up not being able to have a traditional wedding reception that we had originally planned for after restrictions were put in place in Washington State. We got married at a church in Mount Vernon, then had a seated dinner at their restaurant and seated people according to household outside in their courtyard. Even though we could not have a reception due to state mandate, our little event was safely, and tastefully done. It ended up being absolutely perfect.

People in our wedding party stayed the entire weekend there, and I was there the night before the wedding. The bridesmaids and myself had breakfast ordered to be brought up to our room as we got our hair and make up done. We all stayed in their newer, more contemporary building. It's beautiful, clean, and welcoming!

Cheyenne, the event manager, worked through everything with us to make sure we still had a special day, and helped us work in small details to make it our own. The dinner was great, and the ambiance of just having some where to go with our immediate family and closest friends was so nice after the ceremony was over.

Thank you, Majestic Inn and Cheyenne for all of your hospitality and for helping us navigate trying to have a special day during these strange times! We appreciate you all more than you know!

We look forward to returning to reminisce and celebrate our anniversaries in the years to come.

We stayed at the Majestic. Our only regret? We couldn't stay longer! The room was awesome, the amenities perfect, and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. We would DEFINITELY stay at the Majestic Inn again!

We love to travel and have been many many hotels in our lives.

When booking with other hotels we ve only been charged $10, or $20 at most for our pet stay. This hotel charged $50 for my dogs to stay with us really gave us a shock. Yes, I did not check very detail when I booked the hotel. That is really a big lesson for me.

Additionally my husband caught the flu during our stay. He had slept poorly throughout the night due to the loud parties outside and wasn t feeling well. The beds and pillows were too soft that we could sleep well. We woke up a couple times during the night. I called the front desk at 9:30am hoping to check out at 1 PM instead of 12 to let him try and rest some more before we took off. My husband told me that he felt headache and dizzy. However, we were informed that we would be charged an additional fifty dollars ($50) if we moved check out times. Most hotels we ve stayed before are sympathetic and would allow for a later check out time at no extra cost. That was our first time be treated so hard. About 11:00 am, the staff called us to make sure whether we will check out later than 12:00 pm. Looked like they were too greedy to get extra charge. It didn t help that, upon us leaving, we found that there was no housekeeping staff on our floor.

I ordered a breakfast for my kid. The menu showed it was $12.99, but the bill brought up was over $20. The food was so so and small portion.

The room price: $231.35, pet $50 (not including tax). That was the most expensive hotel we have stayed and it did not have any view. It was totally not worth staying in such condition, pricey hotel.

Amazing staff! Rooms are very well appointed. Comfortable and clean. Just wish the water pressure in the shower was better. Location is phenomenal...restaurants surround this iconic and historical hotel. They give you freshly ground coffee beans at checkin so you can make French press coffee in the room, which is a brilliant touch! Owner of the hotel called our room to ask if everything was okay...so considerate and hospitable! The town is so incredibly quaint and beautiful...you ll love it here, if you need a relaxing getaway.

Should have just stayed at a Comfort Inn. We had booked a reservation at the Anacortes Ship Harbor Inn-there was a mishap. We had reserved a room with amazing views, a Jacuzzi-style tub and wrap around decks. We were disappointed when we arrived that the reservation was gone. They called the Majestic where they supposedly had a similar room available- great views, jacuzzi, and plenty of space. I will include photos of the room we actually got- a closet of a room looking at a building, a tiny bathroom with a small shower stall, and the only furniture is a dumpy settee my husband and I must share if we don't want to sit on the bed. I am happily going to include the photos of this "luxury room" my husband and I got. This was supposed to be a short but beautiful weekend as a gift from my husband to help me get past my twin and mother's deaths. We all share the same birthday and it was what we came here to celebrate. Instead I feel that we were very mislead in the accommodations.

Can't speak for the inn or spa, but that rooftop...wow! We went up there for sunset while having a couple drinks, it was amazing! If you're wondering, anyone can access the roof, even if you're not staying at the inn overnight. The entrance is in the back which leads you to an elevator. The drinks, while a little pricey, tasted great. Surprisingly, it wasn't too busy the whole time. We had a great seat with a great view. It was a perfect way to end the evening. I would say this is an absolute must do if you're visiting Anacortes!

Not dog friendly as advertised, nice picture of a border collie on the dog policy web page they have, but that dog wouldn't even be allowed to stay there. Chihuahua's only. Had my entire family booked into this place, they even booked two rooms with dogs, but failed to discuss the 25lb rule. Had to cancel and rebook elsewhere. Don't advertise dog friendly if your not.

We went to a wedding held here, the food was great, atmosphere was nice, staff was helpful, parking lot was close and not hard to get a spot. I'm sure it's a great spa but also a great venue!

We stayed at the Majestic for an impromptu anniversary getaway. It was a very "meh" experience.

Pro: Gorgeous roof top bar area with stunning views of the oceans and mountains.

Pro: Great PNW restuarant (5th St. Bistro) onsite, offering locally sourced fish and steak.

Con: They sold all of their steaks earlier in the day to some conference, leaving none for their actual guests. Uh?

Pro: Beautiful Spa, with a long list of apparent services.

Con: Spa has "on-call" staff who only show up when an appointment is booked in advance. Effectively making this facility "closed" as well.

Rooms were extremely clean. Immaculate, really. They have the overhead rain faucets in the shower, which im a huge fan of. Fresh ground cofee and a french press in each room. But all of that would be my expectation for $200 a night. When we return to Anacortes, will probably look at more of the $80 to $120 options, as the amenities are going to be basically the same. I dont see the value here for the price. Not a bad experience overall, just really not impressed in the slightest. Anacortes is stunning.

Excellent hotel located in downtown Anacortes. The rooms were very clean and modern feeling. The hotel has two separate buildings. The building we stayed at had a rooftop seating area that is great for watching the sunset. They also serve drinks and appetizers on the roof but we did not partake. When we arrived at the hotel we felt like we were being welcomed home by the friendly staff. They were very genuine people that love what they do. I will definitely stay here again.

The location is ideal in Anacortes, that is the only good thing I can say. We have been here twice and both times experienced the same uncomfortable stay. The beds are very uncomfortable and the bedding is what my 32 year old husband calls the menopause simulator. We go from burning hot to freezing cold all night long. I d give this place a 1 or 2 because of the discomfort and our inability to actually sleep here. However, I did feel safe in the facility, the rooms are reasonably clean, and the location is ideal for visiting downtown Anacortes.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA!!!

I have never previously reviewed a company/product, but I am so displeased with this spa that I am compelled to alert others. I have now had 3 bad experiences with this spa.

Experience 1: $100 pedi w/ lunch.
The atmosphere and staff were nice, but truthfully, I could have painted my toes better. I pay $$ to leave having a nice time as well as cute toes!!

Experience 2- $100 gift certificate.
I wanted to treat my mother-in-law to a nice spa day. Upon booking the appointment, I was told they offered a shellac polish manicure. However, on the day of her appointment the nail tech confessed that she wasn t trained on how to do shellac manis. Great. Her nails were chipped in 2 days on a $50 mani! Do not spend your money here.

The Last Straw: Remaining $50 gift certificate.
With the $50 left to spend, I decided to give their hair services a try. The colorist was standoffish to say the least and could not preform the service (highlights) requested. That is the 2nd time this place failed to perform BASIC services that any cut & curl / nail salon could ace. I finally just asked for any easy cut so I could use the remainder if the gift certificate and be done with that place!

Very comfortable, and clean! Beautiful view from our balcony. They accidentally gave us wine instead of champagne, but they made up for it. Definitely would go back. Being right downtown, and just a few miles deception pass was my favorite part!

What a cool hotel! We really liked our room a lot. One extra good feature is that even though the bathroom had no obvious vent system, the mirror didn't get super fogged up or full of steam. The room had 2 nice double beds, and we really liked the separate wet bar area with a refrigerator and sink and coffee maker. Parking was great, right behind the building. You are right on the Main Street and can walk up-and-down it to find restaurants and cafes and cool bookstores. Because we got here late and it was raining, we didn't have a chance to check out the rooftop bar that I had read about in the other reviews. Both the clerk that checked us in and the clerk who checked us out were super nice and very attentive.

Lovely old hotel, furnished and decorated in Craftsman style, comfotable beds and pillows, spacious rooms with lots of windows, good light with shutters open. Especially enjoyed the French press in room with freshly ground coffee provided upon our arrival. Very central location in Anacortes, close to shops and restaurants. A 10-15 minute walk from the marina, but cabs are available. Highly recommend for comfort, service and amenities!

We stayed in the majestic suite. The room itself was great, lots of old school decor and woodwork. The views from the balconies were great. The hotel staff was very friendly. We had breakfast room service and the food was prompt and tasteful.

Almost 1 year ago we had our wedding reception in the Garden room. Upon making our anniversary reservations I realized that I had not written a review. The entire staff totally knocked this event out of the park. We worked very closely with the chef in designing every part of the menu. Every single detail about the food was beyond perfect. Jessica made our stay there so comfortable for not only us but our guests that stayed overnight. Even though we live a few blocks away we continue to stay there, in the same room, as a home away from home. We always feel welcome and appreciate how clean the entire property is. Bottom line, come to Anacortes and stay at the Majestic!

Enjoyed during covid pandemic. Took the proper precautions but still had friendly service. Restaurant had great food especially pigs in a blanket and potatoes were delicious, wife had a massage at spa which she really enjoyed, and just generally was a nice spot.

Two buildings, were in the building that has roof top bar (closed for season) so getting to other building that housed restaurant and main desk is in elements. Local to Washington so not a deal but could be if not used to rain and or wind.

Extremely gracious service. Front desk saved me from a mix up on my reservation (my fault). Dog friendly. Beautiful hotel. Restored older wing, new wing too. Crisp soft sheets, lush towels and robes. Breakfast can be ordered in the room or in restaurant. Outdoor courtyard with grass provides nice setting for morning coffee as well as a nice place to sit with your family and canine. Didn't get to try roof deck.

Wonderful customer service from cheerful & helpful Cheyenne. We stayed 2 nights and were accommodated with all our requests, ie - late check out, phone charger, suggestions for dinner, etc. I loved the room with the cute little balcony and great view from our room but the crown jewel is that SOAKING TUB- I didn't want to get out! We'll definitely stay here again the next time we sail into Anacortes! Thanks again to Cheyenne and Alia. BTW, don't miss out on the view from rooftop bar, have a drink and enjoy!

Had a wonderful stay. Ricky and Maria went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The neighborhood is lovely and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby on Broadway. I like the parking in the garage next door. We'll definitely be back.
