My experiences with Alfond Center's OB/GYN office and labor and delivery were exceptional. The service, care and quality we found at Alfond was such a huge relief after the horrible time we had with my first baby at Inland in Waterville. The hospital campus is extremely clean, modern and offers many spaces to feel relaxed. The cafeteria and cafe were amazing. Most importantly, the nurses and doctors in the labor and delivery unit were some of the kindest, most open and communicative I've ever met. Our son ended up staying for several days in their special care nursery, and I truly felt welcomed by everyone who cared for him and came to consider many of them friends during our time there. They eveb allowed my husband and I to stay in our room in the unit with our son even after I was discharged. The lactation consultants were incredibly helpful, wonderful ladies. I can't say enough good things about this hospital, and I'm so glad that we decided to have our baby there.

Had my first mammogram/breasts ultrasound the other day. The departments were AMAZING! Honestly, reading the reviews about this hospital I was skeptical. However, from the calls to scheduling all the way up to my appts was a GREAT experience. Everyone made a scary appointment into a less scary appointment. The parking lot was big and clean. The hospital was clean and still doing covid screenings. Thank you scheduling team, Rhonda, and Anna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hospital is miserable. Wait times in the ER are usually more than 3 hours. The charge nurses there both in the ER and otherwise are condescending and rude. Why do they feel it s necessary to talk down to someone? Especially someone that s loved one is in the hospital. The care there could not be worse. Where do they find these horrendous people to work there? It s like going to a third world country.

Amy G. A nursing assistant that works there is mostly the reason for my 1 star. She forgot about us twice after buzzing for her twice and I actually made sure to get her name so I could write this review about her. Your team will always be as weak as your weakest link. I hope she is spoken too or at least given a written statement as to what she needs to do better. Also very rude to me when I asked for her name because she knew what I was doing. My name is Cameron Dunlop and the patient she was helping was Chloe Wilson. Again the Nurses name was Amy G, she s tall, grey curly/straight hair, older looking, could be mid 40s. Sorry if you get her as your nurse.

Great place to visit if you re looking for the absolute worst care in the country. Shame on the management and lack of care here. Absolute shame!!

The ER is horrible and I agree with all of the bad reviews. However, the L&D unit was great, so the whole hospital isn t like this. I went to the ER for a dog bite at 8 months pregnant and was horrified at how I was treated. I didn t want to have my baby at the same hospital anymore and nearly switched my care. Thankfully my OB talked me down, and I had a positive birth experience. The nurses up there are great and everything went smoothly.

They employ a medical assistant, Olivia Turner, who is on social media spreading disinformation regarding covid and the vaccines. If she can t understand science, should you trust her with your life?

Seriously, save yourself the trouble and hard earned money and go to Maine Medical. This hospital is awful at patient care!!!

My dad fell and was rushed by ambulance to hospital, I understand that they are short handed and may take a little longer, but they are always take a long time and you do not get the best care. My mom sat in the waiting room for 10 hours we ended up taking her to Brunswick where they admitted her immediately, but tuesday they sent my dad home with a stroke, he was rushed back to hospital Wednesday where they finally realized he had a stroke on the right side of his brain. He asked to go to Brunswick but ambulance could only take him to Augusta. The staff here are also rude and hateful and they dont listen.
