I m grateful for the shop s manager, James. I was having a rough time trying to set up my music on the radio in my Jeep, and my two sons couldn t figure out how to get rid of the presets and add MY kinda music! It was frustrating to say the least... Then I decided to take a chance and call Main Street Stereo to ask for help. I told the guy who answered the phone that I wasn t looking to buy anything but I really needed help with the radio in my Jeep.
James asked me where I live, told him, Bohemia, close by...he told me to come on down that he ll be there for another hour. I jetted over to the shop and walked in saying, OK, who s James who s going to help me?!? He immediately identified himself, came out from behind the counter and walked outside to the Lady Beast.
It took some doing even for a pro, but in the end, James got er DONE!!!
Happy girl here, and when I am looking to add more fun stuff to my baby, I will be calling James!!!! I m thinking about lightning that beast up some more...

Just got lots of work done on my 2008 Ford F150. The guys at Main Street are very professional. The installers are neat and experienced. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, reputable, and High Class experience go to Main St. The owner is very accommodating and worked out many different options. In the end it all worked out and I am very pleased with the quality of the install. New head unit, speakers, dynamat, 5 channel amp, sub, tint, and remote start. They only sell quality stuff. No need for 80 different head units and speakers, they supply only the best equipment.

I was shopping around for a laser jammer (K40) and came across Main Street Stereo and I couldn t have been happier. James was able to ensure that my experience was more than satisfactory! He kept me updated in when my kit would arrive, installation was a breeze, and the system I have in my car looks amazing! James and Steve were extremely helpful, courteous and professional throughout the entire process. They did beat most of the competitors prices out there and did a beautiful job. Next time I need work done or if I need to refer someone, it s going to be to these guys! Thanks James and Steve!

had a kenwood excelon receiver put in my SL roadster. gave my car state of the art technolgy that hadnt even been conceived of when this car was built. The install was flawless - couldnt have been better if it was done in Stuttgart at the factory. the after market support from James was even better - if that's possible. i'm a big fan - would recommend my own mother to these people. well done guys.

Was in the market for a bluetooth radio. Main St had exactly what I was looking for within my budget. They got me in and out while I waited and the installation was clean! Thanks to James and the whole crew at Main St . I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Went in about a week ago and they were so uninterested and could care less about helping me. Literally had zero interest. Not professional at all. Only reason its not one star is because I didn't have work done.

I'd pick a different place where the people are actually proud about the work they do.

I just had a great experience with the James at Main St Stereo, after inquiring about a visor clip that they had for my head unit's microphone. I was also able to explore some lighting options for my Kawasaki Vulcan 900 and find some options for my remote starter's worn out key fob's for my 2012 Honda Accord. Great Job, Great Advise and I look forward to supporting this small business in Sayville, NY.

These guys are amazing. James should be doing front of house sound for Fleetwood Mac. Got 6 speakers installed with a New stereo and a mic for Bluetooth calls in a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. Gave my door panels a deadening treatment and the system sounds outrageous!!! Thank you guys so much. Fantastic work!

Fabulous customer service! My family and I have been customers of Main Street Stereo for years. I stopped in yesterday because I couldn't get my iPhone to connect to my car's audio system, and I expected that I'd be paying several hundred dollars for some sort of fancy hookup. Instead, James walked me out to my car, sat in the passenger seat, and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes for no charge! I highly recommend this business, and plan to frequently return in the future! Thank you again, James!

I went in for a radio replacement and they said it would be $550 so I went to pc Richard and son and got everything done for $330 this place is a total rip off

Hey Guys, you should not go anywhere if you need remote start for any car. James who is sales manager at store was extremely helpful. They will do anything to earn your business. They beat any price out there. It was worth choosing this place and driving few extra miles and getting fast service with lifetime parts and labor included. Very nice owner and very great showroom . Recommend 1000%.

Took my 2005 Dodge Dakota to them to have an alarm system and remote start put in. Install job was great. They even took 30 min out of their time to show me all of the features. BEWARE! these people are not installers and will promise to you the world that they have the requisite experience but actually do not.
They don t give cash refunds and actually will break your vehicle in the process because of their lack of knowledge and lack of caring and trying to hide their mistakes of permanent vehicle damage from you.
Their bottom line is overcharging for poor workmanship and if you catch their mistakes there are no cash refunds or apologies.

If this is not the truth let this owner no name given, state in writing on this venue that he gives full cash refunds for all unsatisfied work unconditionally.

James does awesome work. He's honest, and he fixed the horrible job done at Parkway Car Stereo in Deer Park. He's also very pleasant and knowledgeable. 5/5

I initially went in too have a customized grill I had ordered online put on my 2011 Lincoln Navigator that I had purchased a short time ago along with some rims and tires I had ordered online as well. James gave me a great deal. He also agrees to put on my other accessories I had as well all for the one price. I was pretty ecstatic to say the least. We had agreed to upgrade all my lighting to LED which was about $500. Later on he came to me and let me know that I already had great LED lights already and that the upgrade wasn't necessary. His honesty blew me away. It also allowed me to get some other things instead (new battery, start alarm etc.) In a world where as a consumer your biggest fear is being ripped off this place is a sanctuary. . Not to mention there work is flawless. I AM A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!!!

WoW, just WOW!!!!! I was in desperate need of a fine gauge electrical wire for a piece of equipment for my Jeep. Hardware stores didn't carry the gauge I needed... My son suggested I go to Main St. Stereo, and I did! I believe the owner took care of me....he examined the wire on the piece, went back in the shop where they do their installations, came out with a bit over the 15' I asked for, and gave me an really good price.
I have gone there before and got the help I needed, and again today...very nice, pleasant guys.
Highly recommend this establishment and the employees!!!!!

Professional, and considerate. I would recommend them to friends. They worked with me in trying to resolve an issue we had with a new vehicle. I was impressed.

Harley Davidson discontinued the radio for my 1993 FLHT (Ultra Classic Electra Glide). They told me if I bought a new bike it would come with a free radio. Ha ha. James of Main Street Stereo came to my rescue and was able to install a brand new Kenwood that plays and looks better than the Harley factory unit. It was not a piece of cake but Main Street managed to connect the Kenwood to the Harley controls without robbing me of any of the bike's factory audio and intercom functions. Kudos to Main Street Stereo for outstanding customer service.

recently moved to Sayville...noticed this shop...glad I did, had a radio installed in a few hours, great service, clean work,..ask for James...even called a few days later to see how I liked my new radio and if there were any issue...very happy...definitely will go back

After going to several shops on Long Island and not getting accurate information or help I decided to try main st. Stereo. I called to get my amp tuned. Steve told me to bring my vehicle in and he will get it done that day. I brought my vehicle in and after about 5 minutes Steve had everything tuned in and explained to me what he had done and what needed to be done in the future. He was super personable highly trained and I will definitely recommend everyone here because of my experience.

Two years ago-
Got my girlfriends car decked out with a double din radio and a rear camera with Navi vary friendly staff and great service I recommend it more professional then most car mod shops they don't cut corners you get what you pay for

NEW UPDATE! - when taking the radio out I noticed underneath the plate that surrounds the radio.. was all cut I realize this was to make the radio fit but I told the guy who is selling me it multiple times I do not want the dash or anything cut and if it needs to be I want to get a call and let me know first and I possibly may not go through with the install I did not receive a call And I was not told anything I now remove the radio with a dash mangled...... Thanks

Clean location very knowlagable and friendly staff good prices and I brought in my own audio equipment for them to instal and usually company's aren't as friendly if you don't buy everything from them but that was not the case here. Very happy with service will go here for all my needs from now on

The guys at Main St did it again! I just upgraded my stereo/navigation system to the latest top of the line Kenwood deck. Along with upgrading my 5 yr old alarm Main St installed when I first got the truck. I got an A1 job along with great advice. I have compared the stock premium system to mine and the system the dealer offers is not even close! Not to mention you end up paying double at the dealer when you order a deluxe system in your new vehicle. Years ago I used to install stereos and alarms,and I know exactly what i'm looking for. in the past I've tried some of the other local stereo installation companies and was left with a great deal of disappointment..At Main st both friends I have sent there as well as myself were very happy with work they have done. I am sure you will be too.

Had two amps and sub installed in new 19 suburban upon driving home discovered USB and 12v outlet were not working. As it was after hours i figured i would have to bring vehicle back at later time WAS NOT HAPPY!!!.
However i figured i would call and see if they were still there to my surprise they answered James apologized over and over and offered to send a technician to my house within an hour to attempt to resolve issue so i did not have to bring vehicle back to shop because i live far away. Technician arrived and resolved issue in a short time. James went above and beyond to resolve my issue I am grateful. More businesses could learn from Main St Stereo when it comes to EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!. THANKS GUYS!!!

Be VERY careful with this place! these scammers tell you want to hear; if you use this place you WILL get screwed. Everything I had done needed to be redone by a 'real' professional. Don't waste your money here.

I went to Main St Stereo today to have the remote start installed by my dealer upgraded because of the short range. James and steve explained everything to me and gave me an exellent price on a compustar 2 way remote. They installed it in less than 2 hours and did a beautiful job.
I couldn't be more happy with the performance of the new remote starter, and will be recommending them to my coworkers and friends.

Had an install done for car audio, and speakers, had to bring it back for minor issues because installer was sloppy with the routing of the wires, i like things ran clean and orderly and it was not close to being that, Not to mention the installer with the tattoos made me feel very uncomfortable the way he kept looking at me, if you have any class and you see a lady you like then it is alright to glance but not keep staring and making me feel uncomfortable and you could see i had a wedding band on, so this tells me he is a pig with no class and they should hire respectable people cause i won't be back. But i will say that the salesman james was very kind and respectful and knew his stuff, Thank you again james. I would give 5 stars but i think you know why

That guy Steve was completely unprofessional . DO NOT GO HERE complete ripoff. Very unprofessional and Steve tried to downsale with a cheaper product and up the price. Horrible experience if there was a 0 stars I would give them 0 stars. The owners should pay attention to this guy and how he treats the customers. Just daying!

James and Steve stand behind there work. Had a auto lift gate installed 11 months ago and battery started going dead. New battery so thought I had a drain on lift gate. Called brought RAV4 in tested electrical and they Found out new battery was bad. Took out fuse for lift gate replaced battery told to come back two weeks to make sure there wasn t a short. Two weeks later battery was still good. They installed fuse again and everything is back to normal. Wasn t there problem yet they fixed it and didn t charge me a cent that pretty dam good customer service. I would recommend this company to anyone. By the way they were the only company I could find to install a lift gate, the Toyota dealership wouldn t even do it.

I can't begin to say enough positive things about the staff and professionalism at Main St. Stereo. James help consult with me on options for my truck and was able to offer a good, better, best option for all components. He listened to my needs and exceeded my expectations.

Don the installer, with over 40years in car audio did a meticulous job installing the speakers despite the fact I have an almost 20year old truck. He cared for the vehicle as if it were brand new.

Do yourself a favor, skip all the other B.S. shops and stock with Main Street. You will not be disappointed.

Absolute worst customer service ever they had my mother and I wait in the cold outside because they didn t feel comfortable having us wait inside and the reason was not COVID-19. I personally will never be returning to this establishment again.

James is awesome!! Wanted to get a remote start and James was very honest when he informed me a remote start wouldn t solve the issue I had with my Hummer. James was the only person who actually took the time to research the problem.
Hummer has since been repaired but not what James discovered. The dealer debates that reporting but I believe the issue is exactly what James discovered.

Great experience - walked in just looking for a replacement stock sub for a Rubicon and decided to do more - no pressure at all. Was just looking while there - Steve picked out a Kenwood (which I later read about and got amazing reviews - as well as the speaker) that makes sense for me. Wound up with a great new head unit, Sub and an amp - that also reviewed exceptionally well - and the work was done very well. I am not a high-end-blow-your-ears kind of person.... I will be back for the other 4 speakers and 1 more amp shortly! Oh - and since I am not into these things - Steve was great explaining everything and phone support when I had no idea how to fix 1 item with Pandora/BT settings. HIGHLY recommend and open to questions if you have.

Everything worked out as promised painless and on point.

James is a great guy he was able to take the time to explain a lot of different products to me and I just got my whole car done With new speakers and amplifier in a processor. Are you able to have it done in less than a day which is great and I would definitely recommend this place. Besides audio they offer a Tinton LED lights and headlights and lights for the inside of your car and I m deathly gonna be working with this company for more products sooner rather than later. I am myself went with the Alpine type R speakers. Just want to say thank you in a really good company and I definitely would recommend this place

Great job installing remote start. Little bit more expensive but they have same day appointments and I had no problems with my remote start after.

4 days after purchasing my 2015 Audi S4 I brought it to Main St Stereo. I came to them for a difficult install of a remote start with drone mobile cell phone link. My car is a 6 speed manual and Audi doesn t make it easy to do an install like this. From first phone call James, educated me on the type of install my car would require, and explained how the process would go start to finish. This car is my baby, but I was reassured by Jame s confidence and explaination that I was in the right place to have this work done... the next day I picked up my car now with remote start access from my phone, as well as from my factory Audi key fob! The install was flawless, and I know my prise possession was well taken care of by James, Steve and the rest of the Main St Stereo crew.

I have gotten several cars tinted here, with the most recent being my 370Z. Steve was kind and helpful. The tint job always comes out great, that's why I have been coming here for many years. Excellent customer service. Recommend.

Though the years I have brought 7 cars to MSS (remote starts and audio - sirius xm). These guys are great. Just brought (9/2018) my Subaru in for a new Sirius xm. Quick clean fantastic service at a good price. Wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.
