Beautiful conservatory and very reasonable prices. You get stamped when you purchase your ticket and can come and go as often as you d like throughout the day. Knowledgeable staff/very friendly!
This place is absolutely wonderful! The staff is very pleasant and helpful, along with gorgeous plants, butterflies, various bugs, lizards and the quail are cute as a button! This is a great place for young and old. I brought my 77 yr. old Memere and she loved it!
Crazy-neat place to see all kinds of insects and a few birds. Many different species of butterflies flying through the air, landing on tropical plants everywhere. Gorgeous scenery! A photographer's dream, although monopods and tripods are not allowed during regular visiting hours. Arrangements can be made for after-hours photo shoots that allows for pods.
Get way to spend some time, started with lunch in their restaurant and then a tour of the conservatory area. Friendly staff who are willing and very able to answer your questions.
This place is awesome! Great place to see many different Butterflies. My 3 y/o loved it.you can see other critters there as well. Staff are super friendly.
Beautiful and magical place for any age, just remember that you can look but not touch. Staff are great and friendly, facility is clean. They have a cafe with food, drinks, and lots of soft serve ice cream flavors.
Lots of butterflies as expected, terrific for photography. Also has lots of other creatures: birds, lizards, insects, that you don't often see. Super friendly staff who bring some of those creatures out to meet the kids and get pet. Just a lovely time!
This place is awesome. You literally walk into a world of butterflies. From all shapes and sizes. Hundreds are visible at any given time. There are a few different Coy ponds and birds wandering free. We even saw a hummingbird. And all the plantlife in the place are real and amazing. An absolutely beautiful place.
This was truly.truly one of my best experiences i have ever seen it's so beautiful and mesmerizing to have hundreds of stunning different shapes and colors of butterflies flying all around me as i walked thru their conservatory. Their were large shelled turtles a beautiful parrot mulitple different colored frogs Lizards so much information on every thing beautiful zen like feeling. The staff was remarkable and it's very afforable
This place is full of magic! A locally owned and operated butterfly conservatory with all kinds of amazing sights!
There are not only butterflies, but reptiles, amphibians, avians, and other insects to look at.
The main attraction though is the conservatory. Once you enter, you are surrounded by tropical plants and flowers, with hundreds upon hundreds of butterflies flittering about! This place is amazing for photos and learning about these beautiful creatures.
If you ever get the chance, I definitely recommend stopping by!
I'm amazed this place has such high reviews! Our experience today was awful, we will not be returning, nor recommending it to anyone!
Where to start? The beginning -
We walk in and the foyer is taped off as they are PAINTING the tile floor! My girls touch the tape, a lady runs from the gift shop annoyed, rolls her eyes and asks them to stop. I follow up and explain why not to touch.
The same lady who was immediately annoyed we were there was also the lady who helped us get our tickets. Overpriced for sure. And children under 10 should not even bother going here!
Inside the conservatory is beautiful. Well kept. You are not allowed to touch ANYTHING - plants, flowers, butterflies of course. My 3 & 4 yr old want to touch it all and continually get scolded by staff. I will say 1 lady was kind and brought out lizards and bugs for them to touch.
We cut our time inside short because no one was having fun. Sitting in the foyer, having a snack. A man comes up to us and says we will have more room in the dining area. So we go there. He comes in a few minutes later saying we can't bring outside food in. We say we will be quick. He comes back 5 minutes later trying to rush us out. We have 4 small kids! Then the MANAGER COMES and says "we thought this would be quick but this is just too much. You need to go". Wow really?!!! As the staff are in there eating their OUTSIDE food as well. Note: there were NO OTHER customers eating there. All empty tables. It was amazingly awful!
Not child friendly, not accommodating, over priced, unfriendly staff! Very disappointed.
This place is worth the drive!!! It's a magical experience that you will never forget, from little quail running around to majestic koi swimming in the pond and exotic little critters you would only see in a jungle to of course the main attraction, the butterflies! If you get hungry grab a bite to eat on premise and treat yourself to some ice cream at the end of the day. Don't think twice just go. You won't regret it!
Staff was so helpful and more than willing to answer questions. Beautiful flowers, beauty butterflies. All your worries and cares seemed to disappear when you entered.
This place is amazing. I just wish it was closer since I have to drive an hour to visit. The main area itself is a little small, but there are butterflies everywhere you look. We had a great time and the staff were all very nice. I'm sure we will visit there again.
Amazing! Great place for the winter, you can have shorts on and be surrounded by beautiful butterflies! Able to get a stamp, leave a get some food, and come back the same day without paying again! Wonderful and helpful staff too, open to any questions.
Great place tons of butterflies but a bit pricey at $13 for adults. I definitely enjoyed my time there if you like taking macro photography this is a great place to do just that. Though tripods and monopods are not allowed. So you will have to free hand it. Though there is plenty of light to shot at ISO 500.
Ahkbar (sp?) the Senegal parrot is the top draw for our toddler. And watching the tortoises eat their salad captured his attention for quiet a while. Great fun on a cold winter day!
A perfectly lovely happy place for all ages. My friend who is 89 was thrilled to be surrounded by such beauty. She actually made friends with Randolph the tortoise...she especially loved him.
A delightful place to visit at any age. Plan to spend some time to enjoy everything. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Had a great time. Wish we could have stayed longer. We were under a personal time restraint.
This is a great place, especially during the winter, to bring the family. There's thousands of butterflies to look at, and if you're willing to sit or stand still for a bit they'll must likely start landing on you.
I've been bringing my daughter here since she was 2, and it was great fun for her even then. Now that's she a little older, and able to pause for a few minutes to look around and really enjoy the beauty of this place, she loves it even more.
Bring the whole family, stay for a while, just be patient with the kids under 7.
Pretty cool if you love butterflies. Although I do love them and find them so pretty, I had a hard time with so many of them flying around in one area. I made it through and that won't affect my rating but I was secretly dying inside, lol. It was also super warm in there for obvious reasons, so no need for extra layers.
Fabulous experience! Being a sunny winter day and the butterflies were extremely active. Staff was very well informed and customer skills genuine! Will go again
