Lovely LITTLE place, I think overpriced. However the staff was amazing. My thought is this, there should be an age limit on kids. I went there to enjoy myself and relax for a bit. Toddlers do NOT know they are looking at butterflies and all I heard was parents chasing their kids, staff telling them not to run through plants etc. One staff member told me half her job is watching the to make sure the animals are not hurt. That is not the way it should be. I would think 6 years old and up would be a better way to go. The screaming and yelling really ruined what should have been a good trip. The butterflies are GORGEOUS!

This is a wonderful place to spend an hour or two. It's also very educational. But we go here for the butterflies and tranquility.

This was an awesome place. The staff is very friendly and informative. Tons of butterflys that come right to you and also land on you. Great photo opportunity. Also the snack bar is reasonably priced and very good.

A little pricey but I LOVE it, it is beautiful inside up close and personal with butterflies, the gift shop makes you want 1 of everything, the rest of the building could use some work but it's not the focal point and it does the job it is intended to do. If you like butterflies this is a must see!

A perfectly lovely happy place for all ages. My friend who is 89 was thrilled to be surrounded by such beauty. She actually made friends with Randolph the tortoise...she especially loved him.

When I went to the Magic Wings Butterfly Museum it was amazing and there's so many different kinds of butterflies.

More than just butterflies, there are several other creatures to see at the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory. The button quails are adorable! There is a lot to see and definitely worth the price of admission. They also have a cafe if you need a little snack before/after your tour. The gift shop is your typical "for the kids" shop, with a lot of high priced toys and merchandise.

What a wonderful, magical place! My girlfriend found out about this conservatory online and wanted to go. So we took the drive on a warm Sunday afternoon and I'm glad we went. There's a small museum/observation room you pass through first that has some cool insects like walking sticks and other creepy-crawlies. There's some beautiful poison-dart frogs and fish, too. After you've made your way through this room the real magic begins... you enter the large enclosed conservatory and it's like stepping into a dream world of paradise. There are thousands and thousands of beautiful butterflies fluttering about, landing on exotic tropical flowers throughout the gardens, and other wildlife like little quails walking about and calling to one another. It's almost like one would imagine The Shire from Tolkiens' imagination. We spent a few hours making our way through this fantastic world smiling the whole time... there's simply no way to leave upset in any way unless you've got serious psychological problems or are afraid of butterflies. I even had one land on me for a few seconds! I would highly recommend this magical place to anyone looking to spend a wonderful time among some of the worlds' most beautiful creatures.

Butterflies and creatures were very cool! The people, however, were off. So very unwelcoming. I was disappointed by the experience and I don t think I ll ever come back.

Great place, loved the variety of plants, flowers and butterflies. Everything was so beautiful. Very friendly staff. Felt COVID guidelines were done very well.

Get ready for the covid mall cops. They will literally stand right next to you and jump all over you if you even try to breath. Don't go.

Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Rented a room for my daughter's birthday and the guide was funny and knowledgeable. The kids loved getting a tour of the place and got to hold various animals. We've come back several times and like to spend a few hours. It's really warm inside so you might need to take a break in the cooler entrance room.

Great place to bring the kids or wife. A little pricey but a beautiful place to spend an hour or so.

Butterflies, and lots of them- both in displays, and inside the atrium flying free. Highly recommend if you have children, and also a great place to sit and relax for all. Plenty of free parking, and close to Yankee Candle if you are looking to make two stops in a day.

I enjoyed the insects on display outside the butterfly conservatory... absolutely massive stick bugs... I had no idea they got that big. Lots of other cool creatures to look at out there, too.

Affordable fun for all ages. Also host parties and even weddings. Many other critters than butterflies. The habitat is very warm - wear layers.

The good:We were cheerfully welcomed into the conservatory. It's a beautiful experience and great place to sit and see the lush gardens. Prepare to relax and take it slow inside.

It was like walking into a wonderland full of magic and amazement. They have some reptiles and amphibians to enjoy before you go into the butterfly room that were also really neat. The first steps into the exhibit was breathtaking. Such a unique experience. There are little ponds with fish also. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. All in all a great experience!

Awesome and unique experience. Make sure to wear bright colors so the butterflies will land on you. Plan to spend 2 or 3 hours. In addition to the butterflies they have baby quales, lizzards, frogs and some pretty gross bugs (in cages). My 4 year old grandson loved it and didn't want to leave. They have a nice gift shop, a small restaurant and they sell plants that will attract butterflies.

The staff here do a really good job and are very kind. It is such a magical place to be. Relaxing music while you stroll through a jungle like setting with butterflies all around you. You enter through a first room with dart frogs and such, which is pretty cool. They have very good food here and ice cream. All good items are very decent priced. They also have a gift shop. Conveniently located close to Yankee candle village as well!!

The people are every nice you can eat there have ice small store we had a great time.

Russian tortoise was living in the breathtaking butterfly habitat...along with a Senegal parrot...and the cutest quails..
A hidden jewel in Massachusetts

Went their for a rainy day. This is the fourth or fifth time. Brought some McD s for the kids to eat before we went in at the tables in the lobby. This time the tables had a sign stating no outside food. As our kids were hangry, we thought we would let them eat quickly and we would then check out the awesome butterflies. I should note that we were not the only people doing this.
One of the employees walked by the other table wih little one also eating and quite rudely were asked to leave, even though my wife informed them that we just had to get a bite into our kids before we went in. This same employee then offered up unsolicited parenting advice....
Sadly, we left and I can say that this will be the last time we ever go. Especially since the Connecticut Science Center now has a butterfly exhibit in addition to all of the other stuff. If you live in the Springfield area, don t waste your time driving north unless you re going camping or hiking. For this family, we re done with the butterfly museum.

Amazing they literally land on you. Hundreds of butterflies,and few dozen rare bugs,and some colorful frogs.

Price is not too bad, but what makes this place shine is everything that it does right. The display room is cool and the conservatory / garden is downright amazing!

Went at the 1pm entrance time and the women working at the door was very rude and should not be working there. She can t even greet people nicely and started a nice little disagreement infront of my 3 year old daughter. Not Happy.

It was one of the most magical places I have ever been.

Lots of butterflies as expected, terrific for photography. Also has lots of other creatures: birds, lizards, insects, that you don't often see. Super friendly staff who bring some of those creatures out to meet the kids and get pet. Just a lovely time!

Great place to bring the kids. Some of these butterflies are the size of bats. Inside the enclosed conservatory there are also small cages/habitats featuring turtles, lizards, birds, bugs and snakes. There is also a little restaurant and cafe next door.

Totally cool place for the whole family, especially the little ones! A must see if you are in the area.

We seize every opportunity to go here. The butterflys are amazing and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The facilities are not exceptional, but it doesn't matter. Surprisingly, the little on site cafe serves good and inexpensive food. Highly recommended.

This place is awesome!!! It is very clean, the staff is very nice and VERY informative if you have any questions, especially about the butterflies! As soon as you walk into the conservatory you are greeted by a staff member and hundreds of butterflies that love to land on you! This place is fun and very enjoyable for all ages as long as you don't mind butterflies land on you!

We had a wonderful time at Magic Wings. We went right when it had opened and there wasn't a crowd which we appreciated. Love the variety of butterflies and the staff was very knowledgeable.

Fascinating place! 2 huge rooms populated with thousands of butterflies! Perfect place to sit and watch these glorious creatures. Be sure to wear bright colors and a little perfume if you want them to land on you for a few seconds. There are also quail that roam and terrariums filled with reptiles and exotic bugs. Great for the whole family! There is a gift shop and they, also, sell plants perfect for pollinators.

Lot of butterflies and cute little small quail. This is a nice place to go for a short trip. if you have to travel to get there, you may be disappointed. Whenever I have been to other butterfly exhibits, they have been part of a larger facility. Being that this is only a butterfly place means that after 1/2 hour you have seen it all.
