One of the best and most comfortable places to go in Bloomington/Normal, great service, excellent menu choices, even children enjoy eating here. You can't franchise what Maggie's offers. A taste of the homeland.
Service was outstanding but the food was horrible. My wife and I ordered the steak and both tasted like leather. The kitchen is great with traditional Irish food but not so much with steak.

Fantastic Irish food and a wide range of cocktails and a healthy beer list. The beer list isn't as expansive as some other options in Uptown, but they are sure to have any Irish beer (or whiskey) that you're looking for. Clean, comfortable environment with a healthy mix of age groups.

Best damn Guinness I've ever had, and they nailed the Shepherd's pie. The environment was very friendly. Not too loud, well-lit, and the server checked in on us plenty. Highly recommended!

One of my favorite places in Normal. A classic Irish pub with great Irish food.
As a bar, it s a good atmosphere. My low star review is specifically in regards to the food, which is not good. Unfortunately, the beef was so tough I couldn't eat it. The bar is perfectly fine, just would't recommend eating here.

Out of the bars available Uptown, Maggie's is my favorite. The atmosphere is great! There's darts, good music (TouchTunes), great drink selection, awesome food, friendly staff, and a nice layout. It's fun for big groups or just a few folks wanting to sit and throw a few back.
We ordered fish & chips. The portions are huge, could not finish it.
I ve drove an hour an a half just to eat lunch here on a couple occasions. That right there should tell you this place is what s up. Food is never disappointing and paired with a refreshing pint of one of the many beers on tap and you re good to go. Easily one of my favorite Irish pubs.

Very quaint, Irish Pub atmosphere. Can be loud inside. Patio seating available. Good craft beer and Irish beer selection. Food is good, I had Salmon with garlic and a white sauce that was good. Steamed veggies and mashed potatoes to round out the meal. Wife had the fried Cod fish with chips (homemade fries). Fun atmosphere, good food, worth a visit, but can be busy.
Favorite bar in town. Great atmosphere and the staff and drink selection are great. Hard to find a seat sometimes but show me a good bar where that's not the case. Never had anything off the menu I didn't love.
The spinach toastie! So delicious! Plus, service is freindly and efficient.
This is my favorite pub; I learned to love beer from the Guinness poured here! The manager takes a hands-on approach; he is *always* working when I come in. Staff are friendly and competent, and I can always get a seat at the bar. Nobody makes food like Maggie's, either - try the boxty! You won't be disappointed!
Really great Irish pub in the heart of Bloomington just off the ISU campus. The beer list is fantastic (easilly 50+ beers to choose from and there are few I wouldn't choose), plus a fantastic whiskey menu. The food is traditional Irish food (that is for being an Irish pub in an America)... I had the boxty which was fantastic... albeit just a bit on the salty side. Because it's just off campus, it's heavily influenced by the college crowd, but there is diversity. I'll be back soon...
I went there for a late lunch with a friend and there was no wait. I ordered the special, Cajun Cordon Bleu, which was a sandwich. That and the Cajun fries were quite good. The dark beer that ordered complemented the food.
Food is just decent for the price point. Good beer selection, and the Irish Whiskey is good. Tables out front in the spring and summer are a nice touch. Dart boards inside.
Not a lot of seating area if you are going in the early evening in a larger group, but the food is excellent and it's a fun atmosphere. Try the rueben ball appetizer, it's delicious!! Friendly service as well, only other downside is you typically have to park in the back and walk through the alley to get in the front.
Very good. Great service. Nice bar, and the food was very good. I tried the Reuben balls appetizer, which while tasty, had a "Reuben salad" paste inside of a crunchy fried exterior. It was tasty, but the consistency of the filling was not what I expected. Lot's of great Irish fare, and I can't wait to try more. I went with the Guinness and the pour was perfect. I had a very good time there, my first visit but not my last.
We had a 25 minute wait for a table and the staff worked with us and sat us at the bar and were very helpful. Once we were seated, the food was ordered and out within 30 minutes. The atmosphere and staff are genuine!

Finest Guinness in central Illinois. Atmosphere reminiscent of pubs in Ireland. The corned beef and cabbage is excellent. The new Scotch eggs are very good.

Maggie Miley's is probably my favorite bar in Uptown. It's very laid back, they've got a few large TVs to watch games on, the bartenders are friendly, and the drinks are always strong. I've been here for Blackhawks games, dates, happy hours after seminars, everything. I've never had a bad time at Maggie MIley's.

Gave it a 4 due to overall service. Otherwise food is great. It is always a treat when I am in the area. They were out of a lot of items the last time we went, and we ended up playing a guessing game with the server to figure out what was available. That became frustrating. I finally asked our server to list all the items they out of, but by then we had already tried to order everything they were out of. I recommend Maggie Miley's if you haven't tried it yet. You may want to ask up front if they are out of anything before trying to order.

I would rate this at a two star, but the rueben I had was decent if not good. I was charged for 7 vodka and tonics and my fiance who is 5 ft nothing, did not have that. I would know since she would have been throwing up and incoherent after 6. We after paying 100 some odd bucks for two sandwiches, onion rings, 5 drinks for me and 4 for her. After which we where told to leave before we paid or even got the check. I get the premise they were closing in twenty minutes. Two minutes later we were told by a bouncer again we really need too leave. This is not an exaggeration, two minutes by the same guy. I talked to the waitress about the dispute of charges. She stated she only entered the drinks when request. The she said in a annoyed voice you "want me to get the manager?." We declined just trying to leave and avoiding a scene. Then as I waited to be rung up, I was told to hurry up with our drinks. I noticed as i looked for the waitress, the owner and her were looking our ways and laughing. Call me paranoid, but when and possible fraudulent charge happens at a table I am serving the last thing I do is laugh. I am unsettled by this and will not return to this restaurants/bar in the future. I have been a patron of this bar multiple times, but a first to their restaurant. My opinion is they are a better bar and should keep it that especially at 14 dollar entrees.

Try the potato pancake with a guiness. From Indy, as good as anything - probably better than our Irish pubs. Authentic, friendly, tasty, perfect head on Guinness!

I've had the food here a couple of times, most recently the Shepard's pie, which was excellent! I also grabbed some Strongbow cider on tap.. also great. Fast service and friendly bartenders. Would go again anytime.
Excellent and authentic Irish Pub. Drink and fare are fairly priced. Every bartender I've met has been friendly and professional. Can get a little packed when students are in town. Only thing to note is that if you only want to drink, you can't get a table unless you are also going to eat.
A great place for drinks. The food is excellent. Definitely a unique place for Bloomington/Normal! Make sure to try the Boxty at least sometime in your life!
