After traveling the country eating at hundreds of different restaurants I have come to realize that good service is generally rare, however this place was by far the worst. The first sign was when the waitress forgot to bring us water, followed by watered down drinks. We were also one of the only tables seated. After quite a few other mistakes we decided to skip desert and get out of there. After looking at the check it was no surprise to see she upcharged us on the drinks to raise her tip, which is something I personally can't stand. As a restaurant owner I understand the stress of the service industry so every waitress begins at 100% tip. 18% usually means you did a bad job. This girl ended up getting about 1% and she didn't even deserve that. As if that wasn't bad enough it doesn't end there. Because it was our first night in Chicago and we had just arrived, we decided to walk around. Both my business partner and I had to go to the bathroom so we figured we would go back into the restaurant. We were already customers after all. We ran into the waitress and she proceeded to tell me that the bill was $10 short. We left four 20's on the table and I counted that money twice with my partner sitting there watching me. I have never shorted someone on a bill accidentally or on purpose. I know from working long enough that that means the waitress had decided we didn't tip her enough and had taken that out of the bill to put into her pocket. The situation was naturally brought to the manager. This guy is either sleeping with that waitress or the worst manager I have ever encountered. Over $10 he immediately assumed we shorted the bill. He became very rude. When we pointed out that we would not have come back into the restaurant if we had shorted the bill he said that we must have had too much to drink to count change. We each had two drinks there not that he would know. Regardless nobody could get anywhere off of those drinks anyway. I have never in all my experience heard a manager talk like that to a customer. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. Absolutely terrible. They clearly have no idea how to run a business. The food isn't anything to write home about either. Average at best. If you want good food and good service don't go here.

Be sure to look over your bill. They'll likely add drinks you didn't order that look similar to ones you did and take another 15 minutes to "take them off." What an absolute ridiculous joke. With so many other establishments olin Wrigleyville, do yourself a favor and avoid this one at all costs! Absolute worst experience.

First time back after reopening and the service was great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and extremely safe in regards to wearing masks. They menu is new and the pizza they have now is great.

Good fresh food close to Wrigley Field. My husband had a pizza and it was huge. I had a salad and it was loaded with the good stuff! Good all day drink specials. If you are in the area I would recommend stopping in.

A diamond in the rough when people passing by see how nice and big the area is they turn around and go right in the patio is beautiful and spacious it also includes a roof top but the inside is so elegant and fine you think you are at another era the workers are great and the food and drinks last but not least are amazing it's a must experience if your in Wrigleyville right across from the stadium.

Went there before a Cubs game. Looked like a nice place so we decided to try it. Should have walked away. The gentleman at the door was a crab. Then we sat at the bar to eat and right away we got a bad attitude. We should have walked out but we thought maybe Cat was having a bad day. Nope.... Another bartender gentleman came up to us with the same negative attitude. The food wasn't bad. First impressions can kill a business. I won't be back there. There are plenty of other places to go.

These people have no idea how to run a bar. Empty tables and chairs everywhere and they keep telling us in line "a few more minutes." Then all of the sudden after an hour wait they say 32 more people need to leave for them to let people in. I won't be coming back.

Wrigley s Ivy is iconic...Vines is not worthy of the association. Our destination after a Cubs game. We were looking to spend hours there, but the client service quickly turned the tide. Our group of 8 will never set foot in Vines again. Victor s people skills were terrible. Complete disrespect for our group and everyone he spoke to. Pretty hard to turn my positive outlook after a W (over our rival Cardinals) into a negative, but that was no challenge for Vines.

I had the fonz and the reservoir hog.. Amazing. I swapped the spicy Italian sausage for the spicy Thai sausage on the fonz and it was delicious. We also had the love boat tots. The tots were very well balanced with the chili and cole slaw. Good selection of beer and cool bar area. Will be back to try the burgers.

I live right around the corner from this place so I come here a decent amount. The food is really good for a Wrigley bar. Much better than many others on the strip. The Vines Burger may be my favorite burger in the city. There's just so many phenomenal flavors going on, Ah i love it.

They also have trivia on Thursday nights. It's pretty fun with a great atmosphere. Absolutely beautiful outdoor patio.

The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because of the service. I don't know how they did it, but I think they've hunted down all the worst servers in the city and hired them all. I've never had any of them welcome me in or make me feel like their guest... in fact, I don't think i've ever seen any of them smile. I don't know what it is, but I hope they work it out. I love the food here, but if the service doesn't get any better I may have to stop frequenting this place.

Food is good though. Good spot pre- or post- Cubs game. Check it out if you're in the area

Vines on clark is a spot I go to after the ball games. They have a nice patio and I think that the Cubby Bear keeps all the rude patrons away from here. Which is what I enjoy. sitting outside on a nice day with a cold beer is great

Came here after walking around Wrigley Field, Post Season home game. Wanted to try to get tickets but wasn't able to. So as a last resort. Hit up a local bar. Decided on here because of proximity, plus rooftop and outdoor seating. But didn't realized we can't stay out due to some capacity law. So had a few drinks and had their nachos. Later on we moved downstairs into their main dining room. It was good from there. I recall there was 8 tv, only two of which is not playing the game. Sad though that the Cubs lost.

Not bad. Went on a Thursday evening around 7pm. Wasn't crowded at all. Had plenty of TV's playing the NCAA tournament. We sat near the fireplace which didnt work and had a bit of a draft.

The food was pretty good. We had the pizza. Wasn't the best in the world but it was ok.

Nice atmosphere for a bar in Wrigleyville. Lots of open air seating and the indoor seating is spacious and inviting. One star off since we sat at the bar and the bartender was slow to come around despite being somewhat slow.

This place was terrible. I cannot believe it is even an establishment in Chicago. The food was bad. The service was terrible. The most important thing to grasp is that the people are terrible. Not once did we feel that was an entertaining bar after a Cubs Game. This place is a location and that s it. This place needs to be out of business ASAP. Terrible customer service. Please keep the great location with different people running it.

Go to any other bar but this one.

Doorman is a great repellent. A nice server and "meh" pizza doesn't make up for it. Noticing a water bottle isn't a reason to bear down on someone. I'm a native Chicagoan (and I think I remember said doorman when I worked in that area years ago) but even this level and lack of situational awareness was too much for me. Wish my family wasn't waiting inside because I would have walked away instead of being treated like trash. No appetite for this nonsense.

I recommend the patio on the roof during game day - the best place to be on a Cubs gameday in nice weather. Some good outdoor seating on street level too. Decent menu with good options to tide you over while drinking, probably not somewhere I'd get a full meal.

Pretty disappointed that I was there on March 13th and it is now April 11th, and my purchase from March was just now processed. A few days to a week is no big deal, but a month later? Very inconvenient.
