This was my first visit to the Madonna Inn. I was amazed at how the buildings were built around bedrock. The food was REALLY good and fresh. The staff, Stephanie, Cipi, and Marco(?) were so friendly and was willing to help if needed. I was there for my friend's wedding in the Secret Garden and the atmosphere was awesome. Especially since it was a Halloween wedding and the reception was in the evening. I will definitely be returning for another visit.

Well I love this place! The cafe isn t anything to fuss over so I d skip that. I like the bakery and the dinner salami cheese basket. The food isn t amazing for dinner but it is pretty and lovely to be in the dinner room so I love it!

Always fun to visit this long time institution. The cafe is great for brunch. The restaurant has great entrees. I live locally.. but there are always distant tourists. The hotel has character. Stayed here for my honeymoon. It's a local institution. Try at least once.

I m worried about this hotel. I stayed in the Carin room, which is one of the priciest ones. Bed and pillows needed to be replaced a long time ago. So uncomfortable. Hotel isn t being maintained like it was in the past.

Over the top, overpriced, delicious fun. Sometimes they have Toffee Crunch cake (nee Coffee Crunch), though the experienced enthusiast knows to have a slice set aside ahead of time, as they often run short. The sweet barbecue sauce has become an occasional craving. It's not just good on meat.

The Madonna Inn is one of the few places I can honestly without a doubt say it's one of a kind. The restaurant is superb. Favorites are Belgian Waffles, French Toast, and their Corn Beef and Hash. Yet every single dish that I have tasted there has never not been deliciously satisfying.
The bathrooms are beautifully done. Ladies - if you haven't seen the men's bathroom ask the male in your group to escourt you. You'll want to check it out.
The gift shop... I am a sucker for the Madonna Inn glassware. The colored goblets are beautiful and well worth the money spent on them.
I have yet to stay here - but I've had friends who have worked here and I've toured some of the rooms. And each room is magnificently done. The detail, time, and effort to design, decorate, and the layout of each room can be appreciated as soon as one walks through the doorway.

A really incredible place to stay or eat. Interior decor beckons to an age gone by. Real class. The silver bar features pink cushioned railing to lean on while you sit in your pink stationary bar stool set on a golden pedestal. Large dining room off the Silver Bar reminds you of a 1940s dinner club where patrons arrive in fashion for dinner, dancing and music. Goyo GTO says GO!!

This is one of the coolest rooms I have ever stayed in. I was in the Sky room and it felt like I was in a small apartment. There is no microwave or fridge which was a bummer, but that doesn't take away from how awesome this place is. I didn't get a chance to go swimming but the pool looked pretty awesome. The hotel is located near plenty of shopping and just 15 minutes from Pismo Beach and outlets. I will definitely be a repeat visitor!

It's gaudy, it's goofy, it's A M A Z I N G . The Madonna Inn is a time capsule that transports you to some alternate universe, where pepto pink is the requisite color and meat n potatoes the requisite fare. I love the big, puffy naugahyde booths and the (not actually very tasty, but totally worth buying) cakes. But the very best thing about Madonna Inn is the comfy cozy atmosphere. I adore the grandma-ness of it all. Part Disneyland, part Denny's. Full of the ghosts of aqua-net ladies from the 60's, I'm sure. I've got nothing but love for this place.

I heard a lot about the champagne cake and pink decor of Madonna inn, so finally decided to check it out. The champagne cake was alright, personally I liked their Black Forest cake better. They also had their Christmas decorations up. Worth it if you are in the area.

It's old as expected. Rock floors are uneven and I tripped and fell entering the room, not a good start. Bed was nice. Shower was tinier than expected again with uneven rock floors. Takes time to get used to. Bike rentals and horseback riding is about all there is to do without driving. Pool was super crowded and nowhere to sit, but it's summer vacation. Frankly, with their high priced rooms, I didn't expect so many kids. It was worth seeing, but I won't go back. Pricey.

You can't see the rooms unless you get one for the night but we had lunch there and I love how it's decorated. If you want to have dinner in the pink room, you need to be there after 5. Otherwise it's the room on the side. Definitely want to go back and stay in a room. And the bathrooms!!!! They're all different so check them out. And yes, I did go in to the dudes restroom downstairs. It's a must!

We stopped in as a surprise birthday cake and coffee for our friend. Despite being a whole cake they still charged is to slice it! The cake was really very good but they need to reevaluate their customer service!

Have been passing by this for years but finally stopped and went in for the first time. If you've never gone in I'd suggest going in just to see the unique designs all over. The bathrooms have interesting designs (specifically the men's downstairs one). There's also 3 levels of gift shops, pretty pricey but still cool to check out.

If you haven't heard of the Madonna inn, Google it. Themed rooms show a bit of their age, but that's where the charm comes in. You probably only need one night but make sure to explore all of the hotel grounds to take it in. We stayed in the Kona room which is one of the rock/cave rooms. Highly recommend. The bathroom is totally integrated into the rock and lots of fun. Comfortable bed. And a fireplace!
