Madison Social Review

Madison Social is a great place for college kids. Multiple bar areas, good drinks. Wait time to get a table is long, but food was good. Extremely loud inside! They charge a cover on game day. Go to the bathroom before you really have to, because that line is 15 minutes!! Fun overall!

Madison Social is a great place for college students, young professionals, and families! Even though the location is right in College Town, the staff is awesome, the food is delicious, and the price is very reasonable and competitive. I highly recommend the Veggie Burger -- delicious! We held a meeting here, as well. Matt and his crew were so gracious and accommodated us. They set us up in a back room where we could chat and socialize. I highly, highly recommend everyone come out to Madison Social! I hear they have brunches occasionally, as well....and we will definitely be there!

Very disappointing lunch. We waited for some time at the hostess stand to be greeted. When we were seated we waited another 10 minutes for our server..the manager did show and say a server would be with us shortly. We waited 35 minutes for a MADSO burger and a meatball grilled cheese. The burger ordered well, was rare and cold in the middle. The burger had 2 unrecognizable burned up fried elements on the top that my husband just pushed to the side. My meatball grilled cheese was room temp and lacked the cheese. I had my husband take a bite of my sandwich and HE apologized to me. Sadly the fries were cold. We contemplated returning our plates for a little microwave action, but our server never returned. Our ice tea glasses sat empty until she collected our plates and then brought us a refill. After another long wait, I had to track down a manager to get our bill. This was one agonizing hour and 40 minute lunch and the place was not even busy. We were told on campus that the food and service was getting 'bad' at the Social but we didn't believe it. We learned the hard way. I really hope they can get it together with their time management and quality of food. I'm sure it has great potential to be consistent and I wish the Social the best.

Really enjoyed Sunday brunch of chicken n waffles with the Blood Orange Mimosas! Boyfriend had the Eggs Benedict that were tasty, as well. Staff was friendly and prompt.
I'll be going back with my girlfriends to try some of their cocktails.

I dropped in for a beer with a friend and had several servers offer to take a food order. When we wanted to pay, even the manager couldn't figure out who our server was. It's also rather pricey for a college bar.

A staple of fsu college town. A must visit for Seminole fans. Great brunch options and an awesome drink selection.

Overpriced and crowded, no activities (i.e. pool, darts, jenga, etc). If you want to go somewhere just to feel "in" then this is the place. Also bartenders always open a tab without asking. They do have some interesting coctails though.

I drink the same drink every time I come here, double woodford. Price went from 11 to 13 to a now whopping $14 over the span of 6 months. It is also disappointing that they think 2 fluid ounces is a double.
Since when was a shot 1oz? I guess they're able to get away with it, since it's always busy here. And oh yeah.... You can expect to wait up to 20 minutes for a refill on crowded nights. Can't speak for the food.

Have been going to Madison Social for several years, and the food and service has always been excellent. Even when things don't go perfect, which is common in the restaurant industry, management makes it right. They recently started making their own ingredients and the food quality has improved! They have events and activities all the time, which makes Madison Social a lot more than just a restaurant.

Arguable the best spot in college town. Always busy but still fun. Great atmosphere, great food, great signature drinks. Definitely very pricey and expect to spend some $$ if your going here to watch the Seminoles play.

We had Korean Cauliflower and Greek Nachos for apps, and I had short rib tacos for dinner. All of it was amazing - highly recommend all of it!

Menu is very interesting with unique options. Turkey meatball wrap was flavorful and just spicy enough. Service was excellent - attentive and engaging, but not intrusive. Thanks Sophia.
They were testing the"stack of the month" while we were there for lunch. Pancakes looked amazing. We will be back for brunch.

kitchen was really slow. drinks were good, food was fresh. prices are a little high. I would have preferred more selection.

Good food and a fun atmosphere but gets super crowded.

The food was held too long at the pass. Fries were cold to the point where they got chewy by the time they got to the table. Overcooked pita chips. The place was frikkin loud, like trying to eat in the midst of a labor riot. There were no seats available to avoid the noise.

Madison social always has good drinks, good beers, great monthly t-shirt specials ( I have I think 10 or so). The BLT dip is a must!

Best place to meet new friends and/or hangout with friends! The clubs and restaurants have wonderful service and the bartending is phenomenal!

Nicole was the best server I've had at a bar in 5 years. She was amazing and made our tables experience so much better!

First visit, the cool guy owner tending bar tried explaining to me how I wanted my drink made and that he tended bar in Brooklyn so my way was wrong. LOL

Service was okay. Waitress took her time coming back to check on us and it took us asking another waitress to get our table cleared. Food was good, but not enough to put up with blah service.

Loved this place! It was my first time in Tallahassee, and I was looking for places to eat that weren't chain restaurants. Madison Social had good reviews, and I'm so glad I went!

Good food and a nice part of town. If you are visiting Tallahassee or the university you won't go wrong coming here.

My friends and I stopped in last night to grab some drinks to celebrate my friends who were graduating. We looked outside and saw that people sitting at the picnic tables had just paid, so I asked the hostess if we could sit outside after they were finished, to which she said yes. Moments later, someone in my party asked again if we could sit outside at the picnic table, as he couldn't hear the hostess's initial response. We are all taken aback when the hostess looked up from her iPad with an annoyed expression on her face saying in a very rude, impolite tone "He literally just asked me that," and then looked right back down at her iPad again. Her harsh, condescending tone seriously put a damper on our night. Thank goodness our waitress was great and made sure we were well taken care of because the customer service we received from the hostess with brown hair and glasses desperately needs improvement.

I was 21 but lost my ID a week before. They treated me like I was 12 and would even let me sit at the bar and drink water. Never going back, rude staff watched me drink water like a hawk trying to see if I would order a drink.

I really enjoyed my first dining experience at Madison Social with one exception, the music is way too loud for a dinner time dining experience (7:00pm). We went and played Trivia which was super fun, and I was able to bring my dog which I enjoy and really appreciate that they allow dogs on the patio!! The food was delicious (BLT Dip and Turkey Meatball Sandwich), and overall I had a fun time so I am giving 5 stars. My server, Emily F. was very nice and attentive and got my drinks and food very quickly and was always checking in with my table! she did a great job! I feel like an old lady typing this, but again my only change would be that they played the music so loud that I couldn't even talk to my friend without yelling. I understand if they want to play loud music later at night but if I'm having dinner with a friend at 7pm I want to be able to talk to them. Overall a fun place to eat and enjoy!

Not a bad place to go and watch a game (soccer, football, hockey, basketball, etc). There is a limited food menu all of which is good. There is a decent beer menu and Madison Social's good take on original mixed drinks. The site has a two main bars and a private room for parties as well as a roof top party area which is good for events.

the food was good but the service was HORRIBLE! my server Sara gave me attitude when I asked simple things like "can I add a single waffle to my meal?" she also rolled her eyes at me and tried to storm off then my friend pulled her to the side for a talk about her service. during the talk she continued to give a major attitude a told her that our table was an issue for her. we took our guy friend out for veterans day and he got half off everything and she made a comment about how my friend shouldn't questions why she wasn't informed that there was an extra charge for toppings on her eggs because we got a discount. it wasn't about the money for us we had no idea that they were giving a discount for veterans. the point was that she did not inform my friend of the charge when w
she asked if it was an extra charge before ordering. regardless she was extremely rude and as a server myself I would have never expected such horrible service at this establishment

Madison Social goes above and beyond for their customers and community. Not only do they have incredible food and drinks, but they constantly have fun events, even virtually now. They are always finding creative ways for people to enjoy food and alcohol through events such as virtual cocktail classes and celebrations for college graduates. They are also so supportive of other businesses and collaborate with them as well. Overall, Madison Social is a great example of how all restaurants should be.

I ve been going to Madison Social from the very beginning. Today I went for lunchtime, the first time in about 6 months. We had a party of 8. We were sitting for 15 minutes until my friend had to approach the hostess stand to get our server. Waited another 10 minutes. I then approached the hostess stand to let them know we ve been waiting for our server to come take our order. Finally, our server came and took our orders. We ordered the BLT dip and chicken fingers for appetizers. First of all - the chicken we ordered came in an entree size when we specially asked for the appetizer. Then, the BLT dip. This used to be a staple for me at MadSo. Ours was cold and no longer served within a skillet like it used to be. Our table ordered two. The first one we got, we asked them to bring it back with it warmed. We got our second one, that one was cold too. We ended up not even wanting them to bring out the initial dip because of the frustration of it all. Once everyone got their food, one of our friends didn t get the side that they had ordered and we had to ask them for it. The Greek wraps were really bland and didn t have much taste. I was really happy with this place previously; however today I expected a great experience and it ended up being a huge disappointment for all of us. If you want people to come and have a great time, servers need to be punctual and customers should get what they asked for. Also hoping the restaurant works on the quality of the way they serve their food.

Amazing food and staff!! I love coming to Madso for the drink challenges, trivia nights and happy hour!

Our first time here. The selection is unique but good. Food was tasty, ranch has a dill flare, old bay is used often, and brussels were good. Inside and outside seating available, dim lighting inside, nice atmosphere for all ages. Overall a nice experience.

Great atmosphere for a gathering with friends or a casual date night. I have the glazed grill chicken and shrimp cakes. Both delicious!

The food was not good. I ordered chicken and waffles, and the waffles were more seasoned than the chicken. We sat at the bar, and received minimal service despite being one of few people sitting at the bar. Will not be going back.

Great spot to have a drinks with friends or watch a ballgame, or sometimes both!!! The food is moderately priced and you get a fantastic view of the stadium and the surrounding campus!!! Overall a brilliant experience
