I LOVE my girls at Madison ave ! My fav consignment/Boutique with quality items and the sweetest fashion Saavy staff !!!

Katie is super honest and lives up to her word, she is so easy to work with!!

I was introduced to this consignment shop through a mutual friend.
I had a $4,000 Gucci Track Suit that I had worn once & was being very picky with where I wanted to sell it because I wanted the right price for it & I didn t want to wait till 2023 to sell it.
I currently live in NYC & I went into the Real Real store in person to meet with a consigner. They told me they could not sell such a high priced item because the chances of it selling were so slim.
I went to Katie of Madison Ave Melrose. As far as price Negotiation she asked me to name a price, I was very realistic & she sold it to me for that price not only did she sell it for me at the price I wanted but sold it for me in 24 HOURS!!! Katie paid me the second the person purchased it. No games. No back & fourth. No time wasted. This is exactly why you should always support small businesses because the people behind them are genuine & care for your items, not just the quick buck. I am so so so impressed with the process & customer services that Katie & her staff has provided for me. I will forever sell all my high end items through them & never through Poshmark or The Real Real again. Thank you to the Melrose team!

This store came highly recommended to me.

I stopped in to sell MCM, Yeezy, Burberry and Louis Vuitton. I was paid VERY fairly for my items. I recieved more for my items here than I would have online or any other stores in the area.

If you look at the pictures that I attached you will see that they have beautiful clothes as well as luxury bags and shoes.

They are always very busy whenever I go there but try their best to be helpful and I appreciate that.

I tried EVERY store to find the perfect dress for my wedding rehearsal and it wasn t until my friend recommended trying Madison Ave and I struck gold!!! The very first dress I picked up in this store fit like a glove and I fell in love! Then I found the coolest Valentino sunglasses and an orange Lanvin bag that I took on my honeymoon and received endless compliments!! I feel like everything I ve gotten here has even more meaning behind it since I wore them in such memorable times and I m so glad I found this store! I just stopped by the other day and got an unbeatable deal on a Burberry trench!

I m in awe of this store! Everything they have is amazing, in great condition and often times hard to find in other stores. Madison Ave of Melrose always is the first shop I go to when I have a specific event or just go have a great time and shop. I also consign there and they are super fair on pricing and it is really easy for me to drop my items off to them. I really recommend shopping and or consigning here.

Only went in once and that was enough for me. The owner is very rude and unfriendly. I overheard the owner and another sales woman gossiping about a customer who had just left - ick. no class.

If I'm going to spend my money to buy USED clothes, I'm going someplace where I will be treated like my $$$ matters and I don't have to listen to the owner and her staff gossiping about their customers. .

This store is THE BEST! She always has insane bags all the latest trends in store at amazing prices. I ve both bought and sold here and i am obsessed!

I do not recommend at all. I brought two pairs of shoes for Kaitlyn to outright buy and it took her almost two weeks to send me the money. Every time I texted her to Venmo or cash app me, she would Ignore my texts & calls or give me an excuse saying the apps don t work or that she hit her limit for sending money. I almost drove 2 hrs from where I live to her store to get my money. As I was driving up she texted me saying she forgot she had Apple Pay and sent me half of what she owes me. Days go by and she still hasn t paid me the rest. I sent her an unpleasant text saying that s not how to run a business & that she needs to send me the rest. FINALLY after all the texts/calls she sends me the rest. I will never sell anything to her or recommend her store to any of my friends or family.

In the past I have bought beautiful items from here but I have also just recently sold to Katie as well. I have had amazing experiences with both. All the items I've bought were authentic and in pristine condition. Selling to her was so amazingly easy especially in this time of COViD. She came right to me, picked it up and paid the same day. Love the store and owner Katie!

this was the coolest place ever! I walked in on a whim passing through Melrose and it has THE most beautiful things. Katie the owner was there to help style me for my honeymoon in St Tropez. There was a photo shoot happening, and it was honestly the most fun day ever of shopping. I would highly highly recommend stopping in if you like some gal time and appreciate some honest and very good style advice. Can t wait to come back!!!

I have been shopping here for a little over 3 years and I can gladly say it is my go to place to find an amazing outfit, a great gift, etc. I become obsessed with everything that I see come in the store and am amazed at how fast it leaves. I am obsessed with Katie and her store. She has the best stuff. From designer to Zara. Everything is clean and the brand new store is beautiful. I drive in from newton and bring all of my stuff to consign. I know I can trust them with my high end designer items as well as my contemporary pieces. I absolutely love this store! Such a great variety of luxury and high-end items at amazing prices. I love visiting in person but have also have shopped their instagram because they ship too! so convenient. Highly recommend looking here for new luxury goods at great prices!

I am very disappointed with the service provided at this store. I've initially trusted their good reviews. However, over a year ago, before they moved, I dropped off four pairs of shoes (three of them on the expensive side and one pair that was cheaper). When I dropped them off, I provided them with my contact information (email, phone number, etc.) but they did not contact me at all, to this day. In February 2020 I went to their store and asked for the status of my shoes. They noted that I needed an appointment and that they did not have time to discuss with me (note that I saw my shoes on the shelves!). I tried to make an appointment, but they continued to say that they do not have availability since they are undergoing repairs/construction. So, I came back again a few weeks later, asking for my shoes back. After they made a comment that they are not happy with kids running in the store (brought in my youngest son with me), they noted that my shoes are still in the store and that they have my contact information, so they will contact me.

Between March 2020 and the end of the year, I tried to call a number of times, but I had received no answer. On January 4, 2021, my mother went to the store to pick up the shoes. Again, the current employee there stated that we need an appointment. My mother then politely asked for the shoes back because every time we had visited the store, we were repeatedly told the same story. The employee got very upset and they grabbed the shoes and put them in a box (3 of the 4 pairs). They stated that they no longer have the fourth pair. Further, 2 of the 3 pairs were already worn as indicated by all their scratches (so at this point I cannot use them)! I've tried to reach them now for about a week, but I've received no answer.

I am sharing this review as I do not recommend this store. The employees have proven to be very unprofessional and dishonest. I hope they can return the 4th pair of shoes that they "are missing" and provide a refund/compensation for the shoes that have been clearly purchased and subsequently returned by someone.

If you looking to sell your products do not co-sign with this place. You are lucky if the owner is honest with u. Doesn t tell how much she sell your item for, doesn t notify you when the item is sold, and doesn t pay in time. It took me more than 4 weeks to get my money, after I messaged the owner none stop for two weeks. Also god only knows if the positive reviews are real, since the store has an awful rating on Yelp.

This place is horrible to shop at! I used to go there all the time, but honestly it gives me anxiety every time I walk in. There is literally NO WAY you can shop because there are clothes EVERYWHERE! The dressing rooms are a mess, and filled with clothes, and it s impossible to find anything your looking for. You can t even see the counter. It s sad because they seem to have great stuff but honestly it s impossible to find anything anymore.

In addition to offering consignment pieces, they have a boutique dedicated to their own brand of fashion. They take fashion to a whole new level. Kaitlyn is creative, dedicated and fun. She goes above and beyond for all her clients. MAOM is more than just a store it is a community. I am always excited to see what new items they have for sale. The Absolute Best luxury consignment shop on the east coast. I have never ever in 35 years shopped consignment until I discovered Madison Ave of Melrose. This is the only place I need to shop...I stop by regularly 2 to 3 times a week to check out the new products. From the first time i ever walked in, I could not believe it was a consignment shop - the attentiveness - helpfulness - kindness only exemplifies the shopping experience here. The layout and the treasures that can be found here range from a ten dollar pair of lululemons ( Hanging outside on the clearance rack to a $4700.00 chanel boy bag ( classic ! ). Simply put I am so glad I found this jewel because I no longer am schlepping all over boston in my effort to dress myself to the 9s daily! side note it is the HOLY GRAIL consignment shop for DESIGNER BAGS.

This owner is so rude, she treats everybody differently she has no loyalty to her long-term customers and she doesn t care. I myself and a couple friends have caught her in several lies according to her whose policies and guidelines and we were very surprised at how one was treated in several weeks later with the same situation another was treated differently. She takes advantage of the prices to the vulnerable that do not know any better and they found out just recently she has bought from minors and taking advantage of them also. She needs to be reported and closed down. Do you win because her personality and attitude change from day today and you never know what you re going to get.

This is the best consignment store in greater Boston. I receive many compliments on items I've purchased there. The merchandise continually changes so I stop by regularly. The prices are very fair and the staff is very honest and helpful.

After reading some of the unfair, negative reviews, I d like to say I have been a returning customer to Madison Ave for over three years and have had nothing but a positive experience! I have consigned multiple purses and never had a problem. I have also purchased several items of clothing and accessories as well. Katie and her staff have been nothing but professional, honest and accommodating. Her customer service has always been above and beyond. I was delayed in traffic once and she stayed after hours to wait for me! You can feel confident shopping at Madison Ave with Katie and her staff!!

The fact that people consign here is insane. The shop has no regular hours, the owner is gossiping about paying customers that just left, the girls working here are in rags with dirty hair (including the owner) and want to sell you used out dated items for 3 times what they are worth. Still can t believe they ever let the old store look the way it did and it seems like the new store will follow suit very soon. They don t even have a sign in the window. Hilarious.

Where do I begin?! Madison of Melrose Consignment/Boutique offers the most coveted designer finds. My boyfriend and I make a trip all the way from Connecticut. You never know what you'll find in her store, everyday she is getting in new arrivals! I will never get over this gorgeous Yves Saint Laurent dress never worn (in dry cleaning plastic wrap). What I also love about Katie is that she supports local entrepreneurs which says a lot about her as a business owner! I adore all of the beaded bracelets and embellished denim jackets! You must must take a trip and see all of the amazing designer finds in store.

THIS STORE IS A MUST! Do yourself a favor and go shop here. Ignore the bad reviews because they are completely false. Everyone here is very responsive and attentive (I have witnessed it myself many many times). It is by far the best consignment store in the area. Not to mention that it also has a boutique side with all kinds of stuff. You can get everything from upcycled LV and Gucci sanitizer holders, to an actual LV or Gucci bag, sneakers, boots, jewelry, and much much more. One time in there and you'll be hooked. The staff and owner are always very helpful and pick great items for the customers. I was in there recently just to say hello and help Katie out and there was an incident in which Katie handled herself very respectfully. She doesn't call customers names. She doesn't swear at them. She brings up their account if needed. She cares about her customers and will help them in all steps of the process. Right now times are uncertain and we need to shop small. If you show her love she will show it back. Amazing staff, Amazing products, Amazing store! Don't go anywhere else because she has everything you could ever want and more. Madison Ave is the best there is!!!

Today was my first trip to the new store and I was so impressed. This store is so beautiful and they have a boutique now as well which I loved. So many cute pieces from brands I have not seen in other stores in the area.

I traded an older Louis bag I had for automatic store credit and got a brand new neverfull. I thought the price for the new bag and the traded bag price was very fair. They receive new things every single day I subscribed to their Instagram so that I can always stay in the loop.

Im not one to write review, but I had to for this store! I had an amazing first experience at Madison Ave of Melrose. Kaitlyn was accommodating and kind. Any question I had she was willing and happy to answer. The clothes were all beautiful and clean! Everything there is High end and well taken care of! I purchased some gray yeezys that she allowed me to put a down payment on and make payments on over the next month and a half!! When I left I was so happy with my experience that I told all my girlfriends about it. If you re looking for a place to purchase second hand high end clothes at a well discounted price, you found your store! Highly recommend!!!

I love this place!!! They have a GORGEOUS new space. Almost all over my designer pieces (LV bag, Burberry scarf, flats, rainboots, MK jacket, David Yurman ring- just to name a few) are from here and you would never tell that they are second hand. They pride themselves in only taking pieces that are in pristine condition.Owner Katie is also fantastic and will remember you personally and anything that you have on your shopping list. She s reached out to me multiple times letting me know she s put things aside for me that I had mentioned off hand that I was looking for. I have no idea how she even remembers. She gets to know you and your personal style. My sister s gone shopping there without me and her style is completely different than mine. Katie would pull out pieces for her that she thought she would like (spoiler: she was right, my sister loved the jacket). I love how she gets to know her clients and their individual style to make their shopping experience personalized to them.

Katie was very personal and took the time to answer any questions I had about individual pieces. The store is bright and beautiful and everything is easy to visualize. All designer and luxury pieces appeared to be in good to excellent condition and some pieces even brand new and never worn or used. I prefer to shop in individually owned boutiques and help support the independent business owner as opposed to some larger cooperation. I will definitely buy from Katie again and refer friends to her store. Thank you for all of your help on my very first visit to your store and being so welcoming.

I spend hours at Madison Ave and they are the best hours of my day. They have the best brands and prices for them. They are the only consignment botique that I go into and feel like I am part of the team myself. I could feel upset or just not feeling myself when I walk in, but sure enough confident when I walk out every time. My go to place to get all my consignment needs. Nothing but great/ fast service with friendly people to greet you as soon as you come in the door.

I STRONGLY suggest you SELL your items elsewhere. I had a nightmare experience giving my items that were well over a few thousand dollars to Katie. She told me via text she would pay me when I arrived with my items (this wasn t consigning she was paying cash to re-sell). Upon arrival she tells me she can t pay me because she met her limit for the week on Venmo and would pay me first thing the next morning. I felt very uneasy leaving my valuables with her but figured she couldn t scam me. Next day, no replies from her. Long story short, took me almost a week to get my money from her. It was constant excuses on why she could not pay me. Apple Pay not working, Venmo not working, sorry I don t carry checks. Meanwhile posting all my items on IG and selling them before I even got a dollar. I threatened to have a police officer come down and she said she was closing early as a way to avoid confrontation of the law. I told her doesn t matter we will be there before you close. Immediately she sent me my money via Venmo. So funny how quickly her apps worked after I said I would come down. Do not trust her. And her entire staff just gossip about how other customers are the entire time you are there. It s a very low class version of the hills to say the least.

Love this place and the ladies working there. I moved to the area about 9 months ago and was told by some girlfriends to check out Madison ave for adorable stuff for a great deal. I was in need of two wedding dresses so finally decided to bop in and instantly found what I was looking for with the help of Gabby (long brown hair, inviting smile, great customer service). Upon check out I was torn between the two and Katie, the owner, offered me a deal if I got both. Totally walked out feeling like I got an amazing deal.

Months later I decided to consign some stuff and was told all the details/policies of consigning right then and there. -It s consigning, people should know what they re signing up for. Sometimes your stuff sells, sometimes it doesn t. The woman is running a business and occasionally needs to drop prices to turn over her racks. - Anyway, I checked back about a month later, as instructed, and some of my clothes sold. I love all the chick stuff they had there so I just went and used up my credit.

This space is gorgeous and the two head lady bosses do a fantastic job of bringing in a large variety of fashionable and functional stuff. I d highly recommend Madison Ave for a great buy on a budget.

I highly recommend consignIng any items at Madison Ave. Katie is great and answered all my questions promptly and professionally. I have never consigned a bag before but I basically just mailed in my item and left the rest to her- it sold within 4 days! I will definitely be consigning here again. Thanks Katie!
