Madi a Thavha Mountain Lodge Review

I visited Madi a Thavha Mountain Lodge on the 20th November 2020. Madi a Thavha is located outside Louistrichadt Town. The lodge is situated in the scenic Soutpansberg mountain Valley. If you want a peaceful holiday retreat, this is undoubtedly the place to be. A heaven for birding enthusiasts and a home for hiking adventure lovers. They have short and long hiking trails. Sit back, relax and enjoy the delicious meals from professional chefs.

The absolute recommendation, especially Alfred as a guide highly recommended.

Wow wow wow, love going here each year and just relax and enjoy all the cultures, birds and great food!! Combined with lots of other routes, excursions and hiking.

Beautiful place located within mountains. The nature is amazing. The only negative for me is the gravel road to the place and the flies and insects

Lovely people, nicely furnished accomodation, good breakfast and 3 course dinners, inspiring panorama. Offer of art and tours.

Great get away area. The hospitality is exception. The stuff personally for me as I am naturally peculiar and fussy with what I eat they went out of their way to make sure I was accommodated with my specific meals

Im very disappointed,i saw the lodge on internet so we decided to go with my friends,wen we got there rhe guy called elias was very rude to us.he refused to go with us around to check the place, he was very rude we even beg him to go and see the pool but still he refused he said "go and Google" i mean how can u tell the customers that .he was very rude i don't want to lie and we had to go back without seeing

Very neat and well kept place. Only horrible thing is the 3km of gravel to get to the resort. Very difficult with a car. Also, i feel they need a kiosk. To sell cold drinks and sweets. Other than that, Awesome!

Some of the friendliest people I've ever met are hosting this fabulous little lodge in the mountains. A tour guide will take you to experience the culture of the locals, or go on a hike to the 600 year old Baobab tree. Btw, don't forget to book diner as well.

A healthy menu in special portions prepares you for a day of power to relax. Whether it's walking to a 600-year-old Kremetart tree or just swimming in the clear glass of the pool, you will have an invigorating time at this warm-hearted destination. Both host and wife provide stylish attention.

Lovely, with monkeys and baboons roaming freely. Lovely decor and collections of art. Beautiful bath tubs and Free Wifi

We had a very warm welcome and a fantastic meal a great house and this is a property that I highly recommend a top b & b

Well managed lodge, very friendly and efficient personnel. Well furnished clean rooms and lodge facilities. Best location & views. Nature surrounds and actually within chalets/rooms & facilities creating a feeling of being part of the scenery and set a "belong" & relaxing feeling. This urge you to stay another day or two. Menu different from the usual, will add a couple of choices.

Best place for hiking. Scenic view of the mountain in the morning was amazing. If you would to learn about the venda culture and history. This is the best place

Sapristi, this is a great place to chill out! Super nice room / house with special design. Nice swimming pool and all kinds of nice little Art and other objects displayed in gallery. There are many activities such as hiking or a tour through the neighborhood.

Very nice accommodation, only the possible activities are somewhat limited. And why is the toilet in the middle of the open bathroom / bedroom?

Its so nice and beautiful ,the staff is friendly a nice quite place to relax
