Beautiful venue with that takes you back to the style of an old opera house.
Beautiful venue with that takes you back to the style of an old opera house.
Boulder Chamber Orchestra performing John Williams STAR WARS music. Amazing.
Very clean auditorium, we got to sit upfront row A and it was great sound very welcoming setting.
Lines of sight outstanding, general admission journey concert always rocks. Outstanding for sporting events and lecture's. Where else can you go see Maya Angelou and the bad religion concert in the same week. Rams fans go away. This bee Buffalo country this be ware of the 501 buttonfly jeans the really boulderites are wearing to the game
Beautiful venue for any performance! We attended the annual Holiday Festival concert and it was exceptional!
Beautiful place for concerts and symphonic events. Beautiful acoustics. Stunning architecture. Plenty of seating. Highly recommended.
Good seating and great acoustics all within a gorgeous building
Wonderful venue. Sounds was good and seats were comfortable for an auditorium
Beautiful venue with great sound. Seats were a bit on small side and funky musty smell in restroom or else 5 stars.
Great acoustics, lovely artists, and a beautiful auditorium.
When this place is packed, it's HOT! Parking can also be a nightmare that means a long hot walk up steep hills. The inside is nice to look at though.
Acoustically Great! Could benefit from an update to the 1950's seats- hard to sit through performance in those Roman-ish chairs!
Great hall with 19 century architecture. Boulder Phil is great!
Amazing theatre and always has fantastic shows and music
It is overall good experience. But acoustic is not good for rear side of seats, especially for a violin solo without micophones. Get frint seats!
Great acoustics. Boulder Phil has great performances
I tried to order some seats for my family in the first floor via an order form, but we received seats in the second floor instead, though for the same price. The view in the 2nd floor was not good.
During the show on 11/23/18, another family seating behind us kept on kicking on my seat back.
It was very distractive and annoying. I wish the theater to set up a rule to protect audience against such an annoying activity. Kicking at seat backs of the front row should be prohibited.
Very intimate and beautiful concert hall. We saw the nutcracker with a live orchestra.
Always a pleasure to attend an event here. However I'm really hot summer days there is no air conditioning so some people find that annoying. Not so bad for me though
Never had a bad experience. Intimate setting with plenty of good shows to be had.
Parking is non-existent, be prepared to spend at least a half hour finding parking and another 10-15 minutes of walking. The concession stand was the most inefficient operation I've seen too. The building and inside are nice enough, but it is a terrible venue if you aren't a student living close by.
We saw West Side Story by the Boulder Philharmonic. Wonderful show!
Excellent spot for a Tommy Emmanuel/Jerry Douglas concert
High quality shows at affordable prices. Live the old theater, seats are cramped is the only down side!
Went for the music of star wars on may the 4th, seats are a bit close together but even on balcony 2 in the back (last minute tickets) the sound was great and we were able to see .
Beautiful historic auditorium with wonderful acoustics. A fantastic venue for any type of show!
Really enjoyed seeing music here. The sound is great. My issue is if you're in the front few rows you can't see the musicians because the monitors facing them block your view.
I ve seen performances here and it s very nice. Good view and acoustics. Get there early for parking or take a Lyft or Uber.
A magnificent building!!!! It also hosts the most wonderful concert!
Beautiful architecture while enjoying the boulder bach festival
There's a lack of handicap parking spaces, but it is a nice venue.
Came to see a family member in TEDx - they did a great job using this great venue! Seats aren't very comfortable, so be prepared for a sore back. But we hasld great views from the front row of the balcony. Lots of women's restrooms, which is always great. And parking was a breeze! We even had a email out on the lawn out front at intermission. Can't wait to come back!
I have been here several times. Performances have always been great however, the the restrooms cannot accommodate audience during the short break time. I hope it can be improved somehow.
Great acoustics and charming old historic concert hall at CU Boulder!
Most beautiful place and a wonderful concert, loved the history.
Discover old Colorado in one of the original buildings of Colorado University.
Great place to have a graduation! My daughter graduated that day!
Was very meh.... the brownies that were wayyyy 2 expensive, were also awful. Like every thing else over on that abomination they call a university... more a pain then its worth.
My niece had her graduation ceremony here. So much more enjoyable than the big arena. It was more intimate a setting, quieter, easier to access for those with handicaps. There was a beautiful area across the street to take photos with family after the ceremony which again is better than the cement walls in the arena. Make sure you leave time to find parking it can be quite full and take a bit of searching.
This place hosts the most awesome events in Boulder. It's huge and comfy. In the past Macky held Ted talks, Operas, theatre shows, dance shows and much much more.
This auditorium is beautiful! I have been here for several concerts and my experiences are always great. Surrounded by CU campus and beautiful night walks, easy to find parking lot next to the auditorium but in case you can't come prepare to walk since it is a very hilly area but very beautiful. They do every Christmas season a holiday concert that you shouldn't let pass.
Saw Anderson and Roe tonight at the Macky. What an awesome show. Packed house too. The pianos sounded perfect!!! What a duo. The conductor played the 3 piano very well also for the songs of Mozart that required 3 pianos. Loved that they played my absolute favorite classic song of Dance Macabre!!!
Saw West Side Story. They did a Great job with it, enjoyed it very much!
There are no bad seats just further away. What a wonderful hall to see or hear a performance.
I have season tickets to CU Presents Eklund Opera Series. The quality of the performances are all top notch and, to me, are at almost the same level at a performance at the Ellie Calkins Opera House! They never disappoint!
Lo e this place and the history. The staff is amazing!
What a beautiful auditorium. I came to see Snatam Kaur with my husband and friends. It was a magical experience that left me feeling exuberant for days afterwards. I absolutely love the style and acoustics.
Gorgeous theatre, so great to. See the bluebird music festival here. Don't expect to drink here, the line Ines for wristbands and beer are very long
Having church in this place was awesome! The music was so beautiful and we had fun with the whole church in one location!
Superb evening with the amazing Face Vocal Band and the phenomenal Boulder Philharmonic!
Took my granddaughter here to see the Nutcracker last month and we were both pleased with the performance and the venue!
Beautiful space. The acoustics are great, and, if you re there in the early afternoon, the light coming in through the stained glass is stunning. Don t know anything about parking, etc.
No seat is a bad one. I love the elegant atmosphere while enjoying amazing entertainment
Went to the CU College of Music Holiday Concert. What a great venue!
