Fantastic location with top staff! Delicious beer served in a nostalgic atmosphere. The cheese boards are also definitely worth it, cheese is made with Maallust beer.

Fan of their beers for years and finally able to drop by last week. What a great place that is. And not only their beers are top notch, the food is very tasty. In addition to the brewery, you can also eat and buy the tastiest cheeses at Kaaslust!

After visiting the prison museum a great place to grab a nice beer.

Had a drink here a few times from work. Then eaten a few more times. Everything was very good, And the service always friendly.

Great place . great food and beers . Friendly staff and its possible to get a tour trough the brewery. There is also a cheese maker . the combination cheese and beer is fantastic . Try and find out . its worth it .

Maallust is located with 2 other companies in a beautiful location with buildings, besides that they make delicious beers. Love to come back when Covid is gone and socializing is allowed again.

This brewery has a large terrace and tasting room where you can taste their special beer. Only the special location with a cheese factory next to it is already worth a visit.

Just drank a delicious beer (weizen) on the cozy terrace. Nice case. Definitely worth coming back here

Beautiful brewery with delicious beers. But also good coffee with hunkoek and Drenthse nut cake, tastings with beer and cheese. Looking extensively at the heavy guys who brew beer. Good.
Excellent combination with Kaaslust and decoration and finery. Beer, cheese and home-made gifts.

Due to the corona measures it was not possible to get a tour of the brewery. However, it was possible to get a tour of the cheese factory. This tour was great fun, professional, informative and at the end we tasted about 7 tasty cheeses. Really worth it.
After the tour you can sit outside and enjoy a nice range of beers and snacks.

Really recommended! Fantastic location and great beer. Super nice relaxed atmosphere and nice service. Tasty beer tasted and bought of course. You cannot skip the cheese factory either. We are coming back!

Fine brewery with various beer parties during the year, along with good food and other friendly local breweries. The parties can often be visited by bus, so drinking a beer is no problem at all ;-).

Fine beers are brewed here, with the personal highlight being the 1818. A delicious quadruple, really a winter beer.

Delicious lunch with of course a beer from the house. The tour was not a real tour, but it was interesting and enthusiastic about the history of Veenhuizen and the origin of Maallust. Lunch was delicious. Nicely decorated.

Wow. Such a nice place to stay and have a beer. The beer is expensive, but it is worth it. Had the triple one, was perfect. Also the personnel was kind and nice. Looking forward to going there again.

Had a super interesting tour, with a tasting glass of beer at exactly the right times. Afterwards I sat outside where you can order the beers just tasted. The service is fantastic: down to earth, correct and very friendly!

All in all, the brewery (and the adjacent cheese maker) is an absolute must!

That has nothing to do with Maallust but everything with corona ...

Maallust is a micro-brewery inside the wheat mill of the former Veenhuizen prison. They are active since 2011 and their popular craft beers have befitting names such as Zware Jongen . There is also a tasting room right next to the brewery. You can book tours including tasting of the beers, optionally with cheese from the neighboring artisanal cheese factory. Together with the new artisanal snackbar also next door, quite an attractive destination for a culinary expedition!

For me it was the first bock beer meeting at Maallust and we have been able to taste many types of home brewer's beer. We were on the bike because the weather was beautiful and close to my house (5 km). The atmosphere was good also because there was live music and many types of food trucks. We will be there again next time.

Here you can try delicious beers from Brouwerij Maallust. It is a good idea to order a grilled cheese sandwich. A surprisingly tasty combination.

On arrival we were just as unfriendly informed by staff that a paid tour was given and that we were not welcome. We were also laughed at. Nowhere was it indicated, because otherwise we would not have gone inside of course. We could sit on the terrace, but we didn't think so because the children were already upset the way we had to leave. We will never go here again.

Great place to drink a beer, but bottles are as expensive as in the Albert Heijn, so you do not have to drive along. Is even crazy when you ask for a box.

Cozy and cozy brewery. The staff is passionate about the business. The tour is educational. The beers are good. There are some tables and upstairs is the largest round table in the Netherlands. Nice location for a small party.

Not the nicest brewery to visit, despite it being summer and bursting with tourists plus that there are at least 8 people walking around with a black Maallust T-shirt, you cannot get a tour here. Only on Saturday is the answer - not even will I register you for this ... nothing.

Do you want to drink a beer during lunch ad. on the other side of the brewery in the restaurant on the same complex they do not serve beer there.

In other words, not interested staff with a lot of kapsones where service is absolutely not a priority - is probably going too well with this Maallust - I have been to many breweries (NL and B), this is an absolute low point.

Interesting location, beautiful interior. The various beers taste great but there is no topper for me. But that is a matter of personal preference. Nice merchandise.

Great small brewery in a fantastic setting. If its available make sure you try the award winning bock, one of the best I've had.

If you like beer or want others to do a pke, iwr with it.

Blonde, Amber, Tripel, Weizen can usually be found on tap here. Beers are good quality, well worth a visit for any beer lover if you are in the area.

We regularly visit here if the Sunday afternoon is too drizzly to go out. Cozy atmosphere, various beers for the connoisseur and good coffee.

Special brewery with tasting. If you want something different and you are in the area, you should definitely visit it once. The entire brewing process can be seen there. Nice location in a beautiful quiet area.

Beautiful brewery with a large shaded terrace and a sun terrace. You notice the cooperation with local companies. Wonderful ambiance inside the brewery with a view of copper and hops. Friendly and good service.

Very nice brewery beer test tour done with friends, very cozy. Tasty beer tasted. Afterwards I drank beer outside on the terrace, very cozy. You will also hear some history from Venhuizen. Worth the effort!!

It is wonderful to see the brewers at work in such an accessible way. Unfortunately we were not able to get a tour at the time of the visit, but a small tasting and a cheese / sausage board is simply enjoying. Delicious products and very friendly and thoughtful help!

Got some beautiful beers. First taste it at home. As soon as it is possible again, we will taste here again. It really is a fantastic place.

Super nice tasting room with a lovely terrace at this sturdy brewery. Pay a little more attention to the snacks and I would give it 5 stars. Pay more attention to the cheese from the dairy next door, or the cheese croquettes that they make at Piepers and Paupers.

What a well-organized whole here. Literally every corona measure is taken to heart here with an extremely friendly reception by the hostess, asking questions about health, well-marked walking routes, tables and seats at the right distance from each other and very friendly staff. Clearly, work and effort has gone into keeping it healthy and safe for everyone. Example for other occasions, absolutely recommended at this time!
