M&S Review

Meet here as coffee and food is fresh and reasonably priced. Unfortunately the clothes have reduced in style and to some extent value and quality.

A lot of stuff for women and kids. Good casual stuff for men but sadly not much variety when it comes to men's formal wear. Went looking for a suit but there were only a few. Found more variety in their other smaller stores.

Got most of what I wanted as there was plenty choice

I really only shop for food here. The food hall is always well stocked and has a great variety of quality products.

Rude staff not interested in helping apart from a few bad layout as well

Dispiriting place, needs a face-lift. Only food floor gives any feeling other than deep disappointment. How can M&S exist with better competitors?

Large, clean store with lots of clothes to choose from. Food section good, as always!

Very good and large store with extensive options for whole family. Most of the clothings are ecenomical and good; and usually i have found it useful to always include M&S during my shopping visit! Also there is one small nice caffee inside, to have a good tea and snacks. In basement there is food section as well!

I always find something. The last few animal print pinkies very sympathetic that although you see nothing happens. It is very fashion

You just cannot beat marks and Spencer I got the wife a wonsie for her birthday and she was over the moon with it and the biscuits buy one get one free brilliant so much good quality stuff m and s where have you been all of my life

Recently rediscovered my love of Marks & Spencer. I found it very bland and boring for several years, but now it is vibrant, modern and alot cheaper than it used to be.

It has everything you need including the warmest friendliest mns cafe I've been to across the UK

One of the best M&S stores in Yorkshire. Great location in the heart of the city, good size. The food is great and the staff are great.

Absolutely shambles in the Cafe, they told me after I ordered my food that they didn't have it in stock. I then waited half an hour until someone refunded it for me. Then still waited another 10 mins until someone acknowledged we still have got our other half of the order. And still didn't refund me the right amount. Absolutely disgraceful. Will not be returning again!

It was okay, not fantastic, not terrible, just okay.

Some of the staff don't appear very approachable. But on the whole a nice store.

Combination between department stores and supermarket. You can find all your needs in one place from clothes, shoes, bags and accessories, underwear, cosmetics, homewares to variety of foods, vegetables, fruits, frozen stuff, breads, flowers, drinks, desserts and many more. The quality of the products is very satisfying. It is one of my favorite place to shop.

It's a big store stocking everything you need. I often shop here.

Good choice of clothing ranges and the food hall always has quality food

Too old, trying too hard to target the younger generation but falling short with the clothing, had some items on the models that couldn't find anywhere...

It was dreadful, Margo is the worst person to shop with. Ever!!

I am sorry to give such a negative view. Years ago - well 1980 - 89 I did all my clothes shopping in your York store. Since then and over the years since , the quality of your merchandise has done a major dive. Find it difficult to segregate what you sell as quality with primark. I was an abundant buyer in your stores but not any more. The quality is now consistent with the cheap alternatives that are produced in China.
M&s used to be special, not any more. I am 70 now and people of my age do not shop in your stores any more because the quality is no longer available. A jumper that was bought for me Xmas 14 started to fall apart at the seams by February, a seamstress said that it was unrepairable because of the low quality of its manufacture.
As I said earlier - I was a constant shopper for my clothes at M&S but no more, never again

Fairly quiet but gents department staff sorted me out with a suit and shirts

I will only put 5 star due to the fact it hasn't done wrong to me, but they charge over the odds as it really is based around the older generation. But I do love going in

In the centre of Leeds, it is a big store for clothing. I did buy something with quite a large range to choose from.

The Mark and the Spencer (Penske for the friends) were back again. Yieha! Top goers. Always fun always fun.

Love it! - the best place to spend money you haven't got, but find it anyways!...

Stoooor shop with everything you didn't know you needed. Moreover, the price level seems to be higher than expected.

Store layout improved, staff not especially helpful.

You see exit signs. You take one. And then an alarm goes off. There are few correct signs telling you the actual way out. M&S has lost its way. If you go to the Leeds store you will as well.

Waited so long for my soup had people waiting to be seated watching my movements. I left with no lunch. Tables were dirty in the outside area in my opinion need to stop serving when thete are no seats to be had.

Good place to buy quality clothing but still a little expensive compared to other high street stores.

Over priced and cheaply made. Stopped going here for shirts because they weren't long enough, and for jumpers after they kept developing holes in the armpits weeks after buying them. They also wear the quickest on the elbows.

Sad lack of choice for men.

A large store with a great selection of their goods. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff who always go the extra mile for the customer.

Excellent range of M&S services, banking, food, clothes, right in Leeds city centre. M&S started in Leeds.. maybe that's why its range is so comprehensive (three floors!). Anyway I am writing for a particular reason, The banking department More

Brilliant service, given help to order on line when the size I needed wasn't in stick. Was able to collect for free, my item only 24 hours later in Wakefield

Went to collect my pre ordered item.
The gentleman assistant was very polite and efficient.. He went and retrieved my parcel immediately..
The collection point is well signposted and by the escalators, it is also in the basement area so got myself some food from food Hall then to the collections. Think I was in Marks and spencers for 15 mins in total.
