Like most breweries, this is a large open space. It's a good place for a large, loud group. I like very mild beers, but even the lightest ale was pretty bitter. It's nice that they have popcorn, but the bowls we're gone when we were there.

Great beer choices and friendly staff. Really cool roof deck too! We had a bad experience with the food though, when we went they ran out of tortillas and since half the menu was tacos they just gave us a very small substitute of nachos. I dont think we should have been charged the same price! I think it was just a freak accident though, would give it a second chance!
LynLake brewery has beer and popcorn and a rooftop, which are all great in my book. That being said, the beer is good - not great- and the service falls in the same bucket. Every time I've been there, they seem a bit understaffed, and when we went to the rooftop last weekend, there was no bartender up there, so we had to treck up and down the (many) stairs and wait in line at the downstairs bar to place our order. You can order food to be delivered so you can eat whatever you want - although, opening up a pop-up kitchen this Summer which could be very cool. They host trivia every Thursday, but it gets very packed, and the hosts aren't the friendliest - or even nicest people in the world. Very judgemental and quite frankly, rude. The only reason we go back is for the convenience of it - not for the spectacular experiences.
Amazing flagship plus seasonals. Rooftop is perfect in summer, fun open taproom is cozy in winter. Almost daily events from live music to trivia. Fav local spot. Plus the brewers are so cute....
Lynn-Lake is a total hipster hot spot in the cities. The brewery really adds a great hangout spot to meet up, hang, or close out the evening. Rock solid beer selection. There will be something that you can drink and enjoy here. Great place to watch a hockey or football screen with jumbo projector in main taproom area. Wide open front during good weather and multiple levels if you want to get away from the hustle/bustle and sit and chill friends. Lots of good food nearby to partake of! Definitely one of the hoppin' breweries in the cities, though they may not have the BEST brew in the cities they have great beer with a great fun atmosphere.
Held a corporate event at the brewery with 80+ people and I was very impressed with how smoothly it went. Plenty of space, good beer and super accommodating. Highly recommend for private events!
I do not patronized establishment that check my ID for driving restrictions. I don't understand the logic of it. I was going to get in to get a crepe and a beer but this was a deal killer. I will never go back.
Nice spot to post up with a great milk stout or a flight of house beers. It can get pretty loud, so be aware of that. The Rubbish oat-amber is also very drinkable!
Best burgers ever! Great atmosphere, good Ipas. Really impressed with this brewpub, everyone seemed to be excited to be working there. Awesome customer service! They have their reasonable Covid protocol and stick to it. Also best burgers ever.
Moved to Minneapolis a few months ago and Lynlake instantly became my favorite place! Excellent service, the friendliest people (remembered my name after one visit), and really really good beer. A selection of local restaurants deliver as well. Pretty reasonably priced. I hate street parking (I'm a wimp, okay?), but I'll do it all day long for Lynlake.
came here for a work meeting (my job is better than yours). the staff was incredibly helpful to first-timers and very accommodating to all our special needs. will come back here again for pleasure and business.
What I really like is they are taking Covid-19 seriously: No entry without a mask, temperature check at the door, mandatory reservation, and contactless payments. Thank you Lynlake for having the spine and foresight to protect those of us who just wanna have a good time, an awesome burger, and a cold beer from the belligerent who don't care if they get us sick. THANK YOU!
Cool place to go to hang out, fun atmosphere. But I'd have to agree with David, their beer is pretty average. Here are the beers I've tried:
Alice's Badger Blond - pretty good, good color and nice and light, the best beer I had here.
Take-6 IPA - was ok but nothing special, it's what you'd expect from a basic IPA, had a different aftertaste though.
Tradesman Robust Porter - I'm not a huge porter guy, but this was good and pretty drinkable.
Rudimentary Ale - Pale-Ales' are usually my go-to beer, but I was not able to finish this one. It was really gross and the taste honestly reminded me of how garbage smells. I don't know if they just had a bad batch or what the deal was with this one...
Overall it's worth a visit if you're looking for a cool atmosphere to meet a group of friends in uptown. They don't have food but you can still get some good eats from local restaurants (like Galactic Pizza and Taco Cat) that deliver there. They also had one large projector screen, they usually have a game on which is nice. BUT if you're all about the beer, there are better local brewery's that you should check out first. That being said, a lot of new brewery's get better the more they brew, so that could change!
Good place, been there a few times, liked the brewery but the menu is currently fairly expensive for the amount of food you get. I ordered a a triple B burger and I clearly did not read the menu because it didn't come with fries and it cost $13 for the burger and $10 for the curds.
The food was very good though and I know it's Covid World out there at the moment and the cost of business is up and everything has a cost. I have no idea what the cost of food was there before.
Everyone was very nice and helpful, explained the new processes needed for ordering and pick-up. The interior was nice we went during an exceptional fall day and the front windows were open. The have a rooftop area to dine and hang out on which is fantastic in the summer.
Brewpov people ran around shushing people and telling them to be quiet. People in the back could not hear or see the lackluster show, so continued their quiet conversations. Management should have controlled brewpov more and regardless patrons should not be treated like this. Beer was okay but certainly with a bad atmosphere and bad attitude I won't be back.
Solid selection of beer. The interior is nicely designed with a cool ambient feel, low-lighting, and two stories. Front window opens garage door-style which opens the inside up nicely. Their outdoor area on the roof is great in summer time and reduces the congestion inside. Overall, a great neighborhood brewery to visit.
Literally could not recommend LynLake Brewery more!
Whether it s for a drink after work, a Saturday or Sunday afternoon watching football, a nice summer night on the rooftop, or for your event....this is the place for you!
The beer is awesome and only getting better the longer they do it! The atmosphere is obviously amazing and a fun little neighborhood spot to hang out.
The new pop up food shop is awesome and adds a fun little element to date night with new food options ever couple months!
The rooftop patio is so nice on a summer night with their fire pits and an incredible view of the city. Or during the day with some yard games and one heck of a view.
The staff I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT tell you how impressed I am with them! Always great service and obviously well managed. They run like a machine.
And the events. I mean. I can t say enough great things about Hannah who is their events coordinator. Just an impressive job and so easy to work with. Thinks quick on our feet and was there any time for questions or help. We had our wedding there a few weeks ago and the event team working there was so great to work with. I got a million compliments on how they loved the staff.
So for any day, night or event. Go to LynLake Brewery.
great rooftop! can get VERY loud in the actual tap room. decent rotating beers. the bathrooms are all in the back and some are unisex. Some of the occupied notices on the doors are hard to see in that back hallway, so double-check all the doors if you're waiting!
nice selection that changes quite a bit and a cool new rooftop. no kitchen there but can order food to be delivered from nearby places. nice large bar and seating area as well. best craft brews in the neighborhood. nothing spectacular but most very solid.
This is a decent brewery with a spectrum of beers you can try (including the blue dolphin favorite: homemade root beer). The building is old with lots of exposed brick and bicycle parts hanging from the ceiling - all of which is cool except it makes for a loud room. Overall, though, it is a fun place to grab a drink with friends and maybe order a delivery pizza from a nearby spot.
This place was amazing. We sat upstairs and I feel like we had the best seats in the house. Beautiful view of downtown Minneapolis. Now, that alone was worth a 5 star review, but wait, there's more. The beers were really good. The staff was quite funny and very personable. Then there was the food. I heard a rumor about how great the burgers were, so I took the plunge. Oh... my... God. To quote Samuel Jackson, that was a tasty burger. It hit the spot in ways I forgot a burger could. This place is busy for a reason. Find out for yourself.
The simple beer ponyboy tasted awful. You d think they d try a little harder with such a simple beer. Beer was overpriced for the quality. I ll just stick with taprooms in NE.
Nice rooftop patio, great vibe inside and out, delicious rotating selection of beers on tap, and you can get pizza from Toppers next door (delicious!!) to bring into the bar with you. Went on a Friday night and they had great live music.
Great beer, excellent staff, and beautiful space! I recently hosted a small gathering at LynLake Brewery and was so grateful for their hospitality and service. A total standout in the Minneapolis craft brewery scene!
Great brews + great environment. Giving 5 gold stars to the lonely + only bartender on staff 4/19 Friday night (The day this places rooftop opens for the season and it was a one man show). He rocked through the long line of eager folks
Such a great brewery. Service was impeccable. The only thing I didn t like was they wouldn t fill up our growler from another brewery. We had to purchase theirs and they bought it back if we returned it. There s a very chill atmosphere here. We loved the rooftop too.
Solid selection of beers at this brewery. Tried the Rubbish Amber and pretty good balance of aroma and flavors. The space is wide open so even when the place gets busy, does not feel overcrowded like other breweries. The brewery could use a little more enthusiasm behind the bar as our bartender did not have much to provide in terms of recommendations.
Great place to hangout with occasional live music. Good service, very cool atmosphere. Beers are reasonably priced but actual taste can be hit or miss.
The location is great, and the beer is pretty good, but not exceptional. Service is usually pretty good, although I remember a couple instances where I was called out for standing in the wrong area for ordering. And no, it was not busy at the time.
Like this brewery a lot! Dark space. Lots of tasty beers. Was there on a St. Patrick's day, tried different Stouts. Rooftop during summer season. You should go there too.
The taproom and the rooftop are cool, the beer is decent, and the staff has been generally accommodating and friendly. I come here a lot; it's a place I enjoy.
Great beer selectioeet parkingn, quick and friendly service. Main floor seating accommodates large groups, or check out their super roof top patio in the warmer months.
Food, amazing. Staff, friendly. Beer selection, wide. Staff seemed to be a bit stretched. Only 2 people were working but the service was great none the less.
Awesome brewery! Both main level bar and rooftop bar had great selections of beer. Staff friendly and were knowledgeable on the different styles. Rooftop had plenty of seating with a nice open view. Definitely stop by if you are in the area!
This is my neighborhood brewery and hangout. I love the bar staff, the brewers, the owners! They are all great folks who want to offer the community good beer in a friendly, visually really nice space. In the warmer weather, the roof top is a great + too.
Sideburns (the Oat Raisin Milk Stout on Nitro) is a must-have. Great list of rotating Seasonal Taps and Casks. Nice big venue with plenty of seating, and the rooftop is A+.
