Lyman Harbor Entertainment Complex Review

Went for a wedding. Beautiful view of Cedar Point. Food was fair at best. Wait staff performed ok, management was subpar to say it nicely. Choose wisely, and read your contract closely.

New bar staff treats customers well and the food is great

Hours advertised showed they were open so went there for lunch but found out they were only open seasonally.

Really disappointed with how the staff handeled a wedding I was attending recently. They had a bar in the reception area that closed without warning to the guests during the reception. Regardless of what the arrangement was with the couple, the bar staff was incredibly rude to the unknowing guests that were not aware of the closure.

The bartender wouldn't even acknowledge some of us long enough to get water that was not available anywhere else around the venue. There was iced tea, but no water.

Graciously a second bar tender finally met with us to get us some water.

The view is beautiful and the food was great, and the catering staff was very accommodating. The star drop comes with a bad customer service interaction.

Sweet little Buffet right on the water. the couple running the place was very attentive as was the staff. $12 breakfast buffet with custom-made egg dishes and Bloody Mary bar for five bucks a drink. Service was great food was delicious and well-priced we were able to load up and eat a lot before we went to Cedar Point.

Food, drinks, and service were all phenomenal! Beautiful waterfront view! Concert was amazing on the outdoor stage. Lawn games were nice for the kids. All around great experience!

We were at LYMAN HARBOR tonight for an organizational awards dinner. The facility is clean and we'll laid out - extremely spacious rooms, and the food and service were excellent!

The Erie County Chamber of Commerce held our first Business Connection Expo at Lyman Harbor. It was perfect! The venue is beautiful and it was impeccably decorated according to our specifications. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The food was delicious! We are looking forward to continuing our Business Connection Expo and will look forward to working with Lyman Harbor again in the future!

For a wedding, great. The club was good, while not my scene, was excellent to follow the wedding. No complaints 9/10 would do again.

Everyone is so nice and positive attitudes! Can't believe the view though it's so romantic and fresh and fun! The food is on point everytime the wines fantastic and definitely going to be my venue so excited to get married here!!! Ahh I can't wait

Went with the family and when we first pulled in we were concerned because the parking lot was pretty empty. Had to wander down hallways past empty ballrooms before reaching a completely empty dining room. Food was adequate. Dining room windows needed cleaned from so much bird poop. Great views of Cedar Point though. Started to pick up with customers as we were finishing up but still wasn't busy for a Friday evening. Perhaps having better signage or someone stationed there at the door by the parking lot directing customers where to go would make things a little better?

Very nice Lakefront atmosphere with beautiful views. A great place to come wind down a little.

Our experience at Lyman Harbor was very positive. We held our daughter's wedding reception there recently and were very pleased with our event. Lea Ann did a great job with communicating and answering questions promptly. The food was very good and the views at Lyman are just amazing!

Lyman Harbor is a BEAUTIFUL place for a wedding but that's all they have going for them. The management was not good. Our coordinator quit 2 months before the wedding and the owner was difficult to work with. She left right before our wedding started to go home and "take a nap". We had no generator for the dj and she wasnt there to help. The only thing that saved the day was our dj's from rock n roll express. They were amazing and would highly recommend them if you go here for your wedding, if not good luck!

A fantastic place with an amazing view. Have been here for a few wedding receptions, and it is a very nice place, good food and good service. I would go back.

My husband and I were married and had our reception in November of 2017 at Lyman Harbor. Kelly at Lyman was outstanding as our wedding coordinator. She decorated the room beautifully and the food was wonderful. The entire staff were very helpful and professional. We couldn't have asked for our special day to be more pefect! I would highly recommend Lyman Harbor for your special day!

I had my wedding here and the venue itself is gorgeous. Very pretty chandeliers and view from lake. Food is very delicious. I have several pointers for people planning on going with lyman. Read your contract CLOSELY. Also, you can't take food home since they donate left overs (likely as a tax right off). They told us they would clean the goose poop since our wedding was on the lawn, but they did not do this and there was goose poop everywhere. If you go with lyman be prepared for a beautiful venue with subpar management. Management also tried to charge us 200 bucks to just cut the cake....The exception to this is the cooking staff which seemed to do there job well. It is HIGHLY recommended to use rock and roll express dj services in town with your wedding. They will keep management in check and run your wedding well and stick up for you.

We held our daughter's wedding reception at Lyman Harbor in May. The view of the harbor from the room was absolutely beautiful. The staff was excellent and helpful in every way possible including the planning before the event. They set the room up to meet are needs perfectly including our own centerpieces and other individual touches. The food was very good and enjoyed by all. We received many compliments from our guests. A special thank you to Ashlee and Lee Ann. The event couldn't have been so wonderful without you! I highly recommend Lyman Harbor to anyone looking to be sure their event is the best.

We had Trey and he was awesome! How he can memorize orders like that is pretty amazing. The view and food were actually quite good and reasonably priced. Plus it has free transient docking!

Open under new management and let me tell ya I believe their on the right track. Food and service was great. I see my Lyman docking there frequently.

I was at Lyman Harbor decorating for the Howl at the Moon Serving our Seniors fund raiser.

Now fast forward to 2019, it was a Saturday at 5:30. memorial day weekend. I was the only person there really the only person there. No CBS burgers no mussels no people. My shrimp wrap (because that's all they really had) was 3 inch tube of lettuce. What ashame, the best piece of real estate in sandusky is rotting away. Someone with real vision needs to take over the place.

All around great experience! Food is amazing drinks are delicious! Lobster Mac and the CBS burger are our favorites! Concerts on Saturdays, lawn games for the kids all with a great view!

What can I say about Lyman Harbor? I've had 3 events at this establishment and all 3 have been a success. Mostly recently on 10-6-2018 I had my runway event and the staff at Lyman was excellent. John Ferguson is the man! He goes above and beyond and is very passionate about you getting your vision across exactly how you want it. I strongly recommend anyone who has an upcoming event to contact them!!

I would like to say the club has a great view with plenty of room and a second level. It has allot of potential for a great club in the making.

The only night-club in Sandusky. Beautiful view with the Lake at their back door. Lots of Weddings & receptions are held here. Great place for parties of just about any kind, and really large groups as well.

Love the venue. The food is delicious. Ordered the Tuna Poke. My fiance and I are thinking of doing our wedding here!

Bartender was very friendly and made good cocktails. No music due to issue with radio. 7:30p on a Friday and the place had maybe 8 customers, such a shame because it is a great place to boat over to.

We had our wedding reception 9-27-2014 and it was incredible! Can't say enough about how pleased we were with the entire experience there. It made our special day even better. The room was stunning, views were great, food was good, staff was friendly! Thanks to everyone who helped!

Attended a wedding vow renewal they did a fantastic job. The food was delicious, the venue was beautiful! If you visit the bar the pineapple upside down cake is really tasty

Great food, but terrible service. Shouldn't have to ask waitresses 5 times for something that was supposed to be delivered with your coffee. Especially when your whole family is with you.

Nice place for an event. For some reason I thought the view would be better but other than that it was very accommodating. I was there for a chilli cook off and enjoyed the atmosphere.

My husband and I just held both our wedding ceremony and reception here at the Lyman Harbor on 6/27/2020 in the middle of this pandemic. The venue was amazing at making us and our guests feel safe by spreading out the dining tables throughout the entire ballroom, supplying hand sanitizer by the bar, and serving our guests as they walked through the buffet. The space is beautiful being right on Lake Erie. The food was delicious and the chef was very accommodating to all our tastes and preferences. The staff was very friendly and helpful with taking care of serving and cleaning needs. Lea Ann, the owner, was so easy to work with and helped to make our vision come true amidst all the changes to state health regulations. She deserves an award for putting up with all the emails and phone calls received to pull this off. Thank you to the ownership and staff at the Lyman Harbor for making our wedding the most memorable moment in our lives, so far!

My daughter's wedding reception was held at Lyman Harbor on August 30, 2014. Everything was great. The staff, bartenders, maintenance crew, helpers, were very cooperative. Any questions we had, they were quick to respond. Food was very good. Prime Rib done right, Chicken Parmesan, etc. was delicious. There's a variety of rooms to serve any event. All of our guests enjoyed the evening.

To secluded, bad overall location, unknown hours/events/availability to all including locals, seems thats its nice, larger than most if no all competition key word would be "looks" nice but that is accompanied by the feeling of limited access and private club like reclusiveness, caused by its,(most likely purposely unsaid established rule , aka blind eye intentions with no shortage of attention) clear lack of public, local, regional, and up when considering its long term plan including restriction on their yearly promotions, normal persons perspective they should look to widen target ranges on age groups and of course make longer more, samdusky friendly and frequent business hours

Nice docks with power witch was really cool and the food was great. We stayed over night and all the staff was vary accommoding. Had a band outside and night club that was open till 2:30 am after the band was done. There was so much stuff for the kids to do they had a blast. Dog friendly for boaters then travel with there pups like we do. Great place we will be going back for sure.
