Not very much to complain bout despite not being in the brightest neighborhood in South San Jose. Always going here at least 2-3 days a week.

Great staff and good place to do groceries. They have greeting cards section, make up and pharmacy section. Never found any groceries expired here. Veggies section is very good with organic options. Fresh too. The bread section always has bagged good from that day. The choices are limited but hey this is not a bakery. The usual groceries are always in stock. Tip: try the fresh orange juice at the entrance, it's good.
Pretty good price, they also have some organic vegetables and higher quality packaged meats. I also like self checkouts when I have a small amount of items.
Parking always available, clean store and well stocked. Prices are acceptable, not great.
Shout out for the deli guy who kept me waiting and waiting before finally revealing poor attitude and a complete lack of basic customer service skills. The rest of the supermarket isn't bad, but they don't always honor their sale prices.
Don't shop here not close to my house just really don't like there stores never really been an one to shop
Nothing special, expensive and the staff can be rude. Overall it's ok with the lines not being too long and shopping experience is pretty quick. Just don't expect a lively experience.
Well lit produce area. Interesting to keep some items such as mushrooms and tofu in refrigerated case in produce area. Needed chicken broth and they were about out of every kind of it! Was lucky to get the last 6 cans.
For being such a large store and having backing from national sponsors, Lucky's is very highly priced and their selection is POOP!
I went to the pharmacy, and they are friendly and helpful
Senior hours, easy on and out 6am Tues and Thurs. Loving it.
Your typical supermarket. What more can you want? Staff is attentive though
I find Lucky to be more expensive than Safeway on Cottle road
Employees make you WAIT. The store is clean with a good selection. Safeway is definitely cheaper though.
Love my grocery store. Super clean and friendly staff.
Great offers and great selection. However, the cashier who was on Duty (Doreen) was extremely rude, she shut me up midsentence and asked if we had paid for the reusable bag that was in ny mom's purse. She asked again why is the tag is there. I didn't want to cause a scene but this is unacceptable, we've shopping at lucky's for years and spending thousands of dollars so I didn't want to give 1 star. She should be fired!
I always feel safe, and cared for while shopping at this Lucky's. It's well lit, clean, and nicely set up.
It's ok for a store that needs updating but having English speakers work there would be would be great
Very large store offering a great variety and deals
Everything was fairly easy to find the employees were very cordial and helpful and it was a very clean nice experience
I like the store it was clean very spacious but you pay for that spacious and cleanliness
Lucky's rocks but their baggers are not at all good...there is no care or thought put into the way the items are placed inside bags...really awful.
I can't decide between 3 and 4 stars. They have a good selection and are usually good at keeping most things stocked but the staff is not that friendly.
Always a good selection of produce and meats and usually good sales
Just what you'd expect from a good chain grocery. Nice produce, good selection, easy parking.
They've remodeled but still the same friendly environment and a quick grab what you need and go.
I shop here all the time because of their great customer service.
Obviously an older building, not very attractive, certainly nothing trendy. The old style side entrances are off-putting. I only stopped in to use the restroom, and I'm grateful that had one. I wouldn't shop here even if it was convenient for me. Safeway is just so much nicer.
Prices are a little more expensive than sprouts but they have a larger selection of items. They even have Goya and other specialty foods that are hard to find.
Very nice clean store with easy access. Well stocked and organized and sizeable selection. Employees are very friendly and nice too.
Very clean, and they have curtisy clerks to assist in bagging your groceries. I don't mind paying the little extra to help support our clerks.
I returned something and she gave me my money back very helpful
It's fine, prices are a bit high but nothing special
It is a huge store. It is clean and bright and well spaced . it is easy to practice social distancing. Some stuff is sparse but that is not the normal. That problem is due to the pandemic. I like the large variety of products. I have given up on Walmart because they are very limited with the choices available. Paying a little more is dueable if you can get what you want.
I had groceries delivered from lucky and from Safeway. Lucky is doing the responsible thing and using paper bags. Safeway is breaking the law and throwing away our future by using plastic bags. Thank you Lucky for being part of the solution.
I really enjoyed shopping at Lucky's in San Jose this location was huge friendly staff great prices and they also have a deli.
Clean, well organized and the quietest grocery store I've ever been to even though it was 7pm on a weeknight. Thank you for making my honey-do list quicker and easier!!
This is a basic, inoffensive grocery store. It has all of the things you would expect it to have, at generally reasonable prices. I give it 1 extra star for the barbeque they do in the summer. The meat is good, but it's swallowed by too big of a roll.
I personally like Safeway better, but I have never seen a reason to avoid this location.
Out of all the lucky this store is my favorite. I really like the location and the store is very clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and the parking is spacious and doesn't feel congested. Great selection of products.
Pretty decent place to shop for produce poultry and Seafood
Easy parking and lots of employees to answer your question
Today I buy like tree things the lady charge me 38 dollars is only 13 dls
I went to grab a few items around 1 pm and the cashier, Jeanne and the bagger didn't say anything during the entire transaction. No greeting or your welcome or thank you! They only spoke amongst each other.
I'm so greatful that Safeway is open on Cottle Rd, I'll drive a few extra miles for great customer service!
I like this location. Freindly staff and great customer service.
This is a medium size grocery store. The prices are fairly good, the location convenient, and the staff are helpful. Pretty decent if you are in the neighborhood and need something quick.
Good selections, lacks in certain areas such as Asian goods.
This lucky's is large and well laid out always appears clean they are doing better at having enough Checkers during the rush time and they are very courteous as well as the personnel that help the the grocery bags.
