Like all tribal casinos in the state, tight payouts and a waste of time
My wife planned a weekend get away for a birthday present to me... Our 2 year old son was dropped off with grandma for our first romantic get away in almost 3 Years! (If you re wondering, yes, my wife is amazing.)
We had stayed once before when our car broke down on the way to Seattle from Portland about 5 Years ago. So, needless to say I had an expectation that things would be relaxing and nice. This was not the case - NOT even a little bit.
We booked the same type of smoking suite we had booked on our first trip (the big suite with a separate front room and giant 2 person bath tub.. again I expected to enjoy the stay a little bit), and from the moment we checked in there were issues! The person who checked us in was very unfriendly and had terrible customer service skills. We tried to brush it off. Then we get to our room. The rooms were 100% NOT updated from our previous stay, so things felt dated esthetically. The room has a terrible cable package... we let all this go to have a fun, baby free, evening! WE GOT BURNED - so hard!
We eat at the very over priced Steak House. The food was OK - but this is the only time we had a good customer service experience - so kudos to those folks. After our bottle of wine and lobster dinner (an almost $200 meal) we headed back to our suite.. we awoke at 930 and went to the lobby in our pjs for Star Bucks, and then back to the room to get ready for check out.
Now things got really nasty...
At 10:30 AM I am getting out of the shower and I ask my wife to call the front desk to let them know we will be just a few minutes past our 11 o clock check out. The man who answered the call responded to our request, a few minutes late?.. how many minuets?
To which my wife said, less than 15 minutes.
The man said, ok, I guess. You need to call me before you leave the room.
oK .. My wife and I start talking about how strange and off putting the call was.... it gets worse!
At 11 Am we are less than 5 minutes from leaving when the maid opens our room door - completely in announced! And, if you re wondering, yes, we had a do not disturb tag on the door since this was our first day to sleep in a very long time with our little one being with his Grammy!..
Putting my pants on as the maid walks in I say, excuse me! We called the front desk and we will be out of your way in just a moment.
The maid said a few choice words as she backs out of the door.. So unprofessional!.. we are walking out of the hotel room door when a knock comes to the door... It was 2 security guards asking us, to vacate the room as check out was 11 AM.
This was at 1106 AM - and literally we were walking out of the room with our bag! So I say, this has been a very bad experience. It was a special night and no one here has provided any customer service! I had t even raised my voice or anything deragetory towards the security guards...
The security guard says, I m just doing my job. I got a call so I came to vacate you from the room.
So on the way out I ask to speak to a manager... the woman at the front desk said, no I m sorry but I m not going to do that.
This is when I tell her, a little customer service would go a long way here. I then calmly air my grievence...
The woman said, ok, this isn t my job. And walked away!!! You can t make this stuff up!
I ve never had a bad experience like this at any resort or casino in my life. Never again lucky eagle. NEVER! I hope you look at my players card, and add up all the money we spent there.. because you ll never see a nickel out of my pocket again.
Stay away if at all possible.
Thanks for reading and god bless you all.
Little casino off the main drag. Lost $150 and it took forever to get a drink but other than that it great. I liked the fake bright sunny sky inside. Reminded me of the Bellagio in Vegas
well I was out of town for a minute and decided to hit the casino on the way home with my friend since we don't get out often but all we did was lose money. The layout was a bit confusing and I was not thrilled with parking until I found the garage and then it was okay. I'm not sure that I would go here again now I have way better luck at red wind. Although one good point was they did mail me some bonus play incentive if I were to come back but I think I've given them enough of my money.
The staff was rude and not something i would want to experience again
Lots of machines to play. We enjoy listening to the tribute bands while playing the slots too!
Went and saw Dwight Yoakum here and also had a few drinks and some food. Great place
Love the sales lady and salesman they are amazing people
I love going to lucky eagle it's a greatPlace to go to have fun , been on lots fund rasing bus trips
Go and enjoy
Liked the changes in the buffet area. Mised the gift shop. Pricing was decent. Food was good. Wait stafg friendlybut over tasked and unable to take care of tables adequately.
First time I went their today for our anv had the best time ever had fish and chips the best ever yum will be. Back lived here for 25 years and finely went glad we did everyone is so nice
We eat at the Fire Grill Buffet. It is delicious and there's a lot to choose from so come hungry.
Thay use to pay or brake even now we loose every time also the free room is joke we tried to book Thursday night they didn't have any but they had some for 150 u do the math
Nice atmosphere is the new buffet but the food is just not up to their prior standards. So dissappointed. This was when they first opened. They are now up to standards and the food is great
Lovely rooms overlooking a forest. Comfy beds, and they provide everything for the traveler!
An amazing experience won lots of money and the customer service was super nice and plus the food was phenomenal
Mother's Day Brunch at 11:15am.. this casino is 15 minutes off I-5. The Buffett is good for Northwest Seafood. Like Dungeness, fried and fresh cocktail shrimp, salmon cooked over open fire, fried Cod, prime rib, fried Chicken, Snd a nice desserts. Plus much more. The place is clean, very open. The staff stays Busy taking care of the guests. If you don't like cold you can ask the Cooks behind the counter to heat in boiling water, takes 5 minutes. Yummy to fresh crab Snd hot butter.
Good place to give your money if you don't want to spend it anywhere else. I think it took me all about 5 minutes to get rid of fifty bucks
Lots of smiling guests! People having fun on the gaming floor. Staff is great and place is very clean.
Clean big and affordable.the wife and I also won pretty big
The food seems to be of better quality than when we visited over a year ago. I really like the remodeled look. I also appreciated the friendly and accessible staff. I definitely plan to visit again soon.
Why would any casino making tons of money close? If it was my casino it would never close
Awe yes this is a very nice facility m your chances are very good newly remodeled second to none buffet with highest quality n country setting n hotel n gaming in lobby n wheel chair n parking good security excellent n I'm infact impressed with the prooffessional staff
Talk about bad news building... If the breaking news story regarding the "non-payout" is true, knowledge of this will snowball and things will get much worse before they get better for this casino. If the machine really does have a maximum payout of 20,000, that is it minimum the customer should receive. Players play to win, not to get told "there was a malfunction."
My new favorite place .. There rooms are beautiful, the beds are so comfortable along with all the pillows .. The Casino is just big enough, I've had pretty good luck there .. I have gone to 2 of there resturants and there prices are fair and there food is good .. I do recommend !!
Really really smokey, marginal buffet but decent price.
Had a great time with my girlfriend. It was her birthday and we decided to go to a casino. We have been going to Ilani but decided to check out Lucky Eagle. It has been a long time since we last visited so why not make the drive. It was definetly worth it! I won $410 on Shark Attack, and she won $300 on a machine, but can't recall which one. The machines were really hot. I kept winning $100 here, $200 there on a couple of machines. The payouts are waaaaay better at Lucky Eagle it's definetly worth the drive!! They also remodeled and have a good sized non-smoking section (Ilani states they have a non-smoking section and that's a flat out lie). If you want better payouts and a true non-smoking game floor get Lucky at the Eagle!!
We made it there around 4pm and it was easy to find parking. Not an empty lot but definetly enough parking which was nice. Sometimes it is hard to get a spot. We parked and headed into the Casino. We entered through the doors that opened to the Steak House and Security desk. It was easy to find the Players Club help desk so we headed there to get our players card. It was quick and the employees were really nice.
We hit the machines and at first I was not doing so well, however my girlfriend hit $300 on a machine and kept doing well for herself. I tried out Shark Attack and it was a hot machine. I was doing really well betting at the halfway point and decided to try some Max bet action. That was the right decision because I hit a bonus game and raked in $410 in winnings! Cashed out and hit some other machines and was able to do well and play the whole time we wanted to be there. Even got dinner at the buffet with my winnings! Will definetly be back to play some more in the future.
They did a great job on the remodel I think. It's very updated and feels more open. Before it felt like a series of very small rooms. Now it is much more spacious. They also made a big non-smoking section. If you enter where we did at the Steak House and Security Desk that is where the non-smoking section starts. It runs up to the first arch that devides the Casino. It does not stink and provides a lot of machines to choose from. Ilani puts non-smoking signs at random machines and in my opinion does not provide true non-smoking gaming. Only Lucky Eagle provides actual non-smoking gaming.
Thank you Lucky Eagle for the great time and fun gaming environment. They have really changed things up and made it worth the drive. Please do yourself a favor and check them out. You will not be disappointed!!
Casino itself is great! But buffet is over prices for ok food. And the HOTEL beds are like concrete, theres no cushion to them at all.
Enjoyed our stay at the RV Park and loved security shuttle. I enjoyed the larger non smoking area and was happy it was not filled with older slot machines.
They have a great area for live music, however it would be nice to have a bar in there as well.
Always enjoy Lucky Eagle. Friendly atmosphere and great employees.
They have redone it's insides it looks beautiful. service was very good.
Went to the lunch buffet. Has gone way downhill since they remodeled. Taco bar with no taco meat. Beef and au jus for French dip and no bread. And someone who works there is Salt happy. Clam chowder and brown gravy was so salty it was unbearable. Beef was overcooked. Was hard to find something I was able to eat. Won't be back.
Other than the friendly bar tenders the machines never pay out.
Very good reception's good greetings very good customers service told friends and family right place to be when. You come to L
lucky Eagle
Fun place to spend some time on the way to the coast. Most always walk out a winner.
Always clean and staff is friendly. Quality of buffet food could be a little better and desserts in particular are not good at all.
Love the people that work their, the layout is simple enough to navigate, I win at least 100 bucks every time I go there, so the payouts are decent. They have a smoking section with tons of games.
I love cashing my checks there to spin the wheel and try wining my check
We are the hardest people to eat out with, but this was so diverse in food options. It was wonderful for both my gluten free celiac wife and myself, a vegetarian.
Spent $600 and didn't even get a bonus on the machine.
Lunch at the buffet was excellent! Reall enjoyed the wide selection. Very friendly staff, great service. Fantastic desserts!
Great food the games are fun and the staff is friendly and helpful
Had a great time, good people good atmosphere, wonderful place.
Heading home from weekend outside Seattle. Decided to stop on the way home since I hadn't been there in a long time. Got there just before 10am and found out they are opening up at 10 and have a long line because they are checking everyone's IDs before entering for some reason. Didn't want to wait so I left and went to ilani casino instead.
Such a neat place! Good buffet choices. Our rooms was awesome! And the casino was just like being vegas! Loved it!
"Friendly Staffing","Great and Fun Environment". Plenty of Slot Machine's"
Very bad miscommunication at check inn had to sleep in car on my birthday
I have had a great time here more times than any other casino.
i love the new buffet ..... they smoke salmon in the restaurant area ... the process is on display... very cool and delicious!!!
One of my favorite casino, I usually leave with money
There doing work on the casino road so there was some traffic. Inside was clean and employees super friendly
Everyone was nice and was able to make new friends even though we all wore masks. That is a plus. I like to feel like I matter and it's been awhile , for I self quarantined in Dec. Be good but also be careful.
Usual night out to the casino, celebrating my birthday. Actually came home with a little bit of money left
Nice casino, has improved with the new hotel addition.
The tribe has it happening in here. Good food but get the rewards card or you might complain about the price it's half off with the rewards card. You have to get it at the casino it's not the fuel card at the gas station. Nothing special is the gambling just the usual they tried to be like Vegas but you know they can't and even Vegas can't be like Vegas anymore The Rat Pack Is Dead the mobs are in control and you know it's just not working out that it could be anything but a fun place like Las Vegas. If you're in the Olympia area I would suggest you go there you might like it.
I went for the buffet and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the salmon was. It was cooked over an open fire right in the middle and you could taste it.
Love Lucky Eagle. Great food in the buffet and the cafe . Great games, friendly and helpful employees throughout the whole place , clean restrooms, easy and convenient money and ticket exchanges. Loved the Jackpot . My favorite place to go .
Super unhappy with their pricing. First off, a good room is $174-210 pr night, NOT including taxes and fees, so reality is $194-$230 per night, and even though they say pet friendly, they charge a $50 FEE, not deposit, but fee for you to bring your pet, so now tack on another $25 per night if you are staying 2 nights, so now a somewhat good sized room is $220-255 per night, god forbid you want to stay 2 nights and want to pay almost $500 AND spend all your money in their casino gambling and eating. No.. DONT BOOK A ROOM HERE!! Find and AirBnB for about $70 a night, or another hotel n the area, I searched and found them for half this price and just drive the 30 min to the casino if you want to go. Super unhappy with their pricing, if you want people to stay at your hotel and want them to spend more money, then drop those hotel prices drastically, AND ask for a pet deposit you get back, NOT a fee, I should not have to pay you just becuase I bring my pet, unless it is causing you any more work or causes any damages, in that case, you keep my deposit. that's just ridiculous. Way overpriced.
They were doing a "software" update today of all days. Usual promotions not given nor will they be rolled forward. B.S.
I go to casino's frequently. I rarely go to Lucky Eagle, as it's three times longer of a trip from me compared to the other casinos in my area. The few times I have gone though were well worth it. It isn't a large casino, but they have great food and outstanding service. I was surprised this casino even offered a poker room. Not sure Lucky Eagle still does this, but on Friday and Saturday nights, over by the bar and the poker room where some of their table games are, they play loud music videos and the blackjack dealers those nights were pretty attractive college aged looking females wearing skirts and low cut tops (their special weeked night uniforms). Most of the people playing Lucky Eagle those nights also appeared to be mid-young 20s, so it was almost like a party atmosphere. The thing I enjoy about this casino though is their blackjack. I haven't found many casinos where blackjack dealers don't sit there and make 18-21 literally 95 out of 100 times when they hit their 12-16. Lucky Eagle is one of the rare few (at least the times I played there). It was like a night and day difference compared to playing blackjack at nearly any other casino. The dealers there ACTUALLY BUST when the odds say they are supposed to. I would highly recommend a visit if you are a blackjack player.
