Although debt is a hardship the Lowell website is very easy to use. I would say painless as the site is, not taking into account the debt. as all websites are designed to "one size fits all" some personal contact may be needed.

Owed the money and phone as soon as I received a letter. All of the advisors are very understanding and helpful and they never try to force you into payments you can't afford.

I just got off the phone to this company to pay off a debt, but seems though some of the employees have a pea for a brain. A female member of this company was nothing but dim with her customer service skills and found it complicated to listen to what the customer was saying to her. She also proceeded to threaten me with a so called further action when I told her that I preferred to speak to someone who was bright . Obviously Lowell is cutting corners in their employee investment by hiring deluded individuals and are a detriment to their selves. What a bunch of clowns. I hope this place goes out of business never to appear again.

Got letter today claiming I owe from 2013, not even my correct name, never heard about this until today, rang them and they said they don't need to provide proof and that laws don't apply to them and if I don't pay they'll destroy my credit rating, so I asked for the chat log of our call and that I'll take it to the police to which they said they'd let me off the debt and will confirm it within the week. How shady is that!? This company needs investigating!

Literally the worst debt company ever. Settled my final bill for them to then put a default on my account - credit score is now lower than its ever been after settling my last payment of a pathetic 6.49, they now have closed my account and defaulted my account? Which doesn't seem to make much sense after keeping up with all my payments and clearing the account.

Rang to clear my Sons debt, the robot reading the screen got very miffed when i said we had a letter with 20% discount, i had to tell HIM how much the value was with the discount, the reviewer who thought that people leaving one star didn't want to pay is clearly misinformed, i deal with this kind of situation for a living and if the answer to the question is not on the screen you are on hold while the call handler gets help, more training required i think.
I gave 4* ? Why because I have alot of debt and yes you should pay back what you owe I have spoke to other companys and atleast these ones sound like there trying to help. They did try it when I said I had 300 left a month after bills and they said pay 285 lol 15 quid for a month left, but if you say no theres nothing they can really do they accepted 50, remember the balls still mostly in your court they will accept something rather than go to court which is nice! Just don't ignore for to long wait till the first ccj and act fast then lol. But honestly they were very polite on three separate occasions so far they don't add interest and they do go through a payment plan and and make things simply and send you confirmation every month, a breakdown on whats going where on combined debt.
Carnt be 5* as there still taking my hard earned money for debts that are only half or quarter the amount I borrowed but that is because of the company's I had the debt with originally with there super high interest there the ones people should be angry with really, or themselfs. Oh and just before anyone tries it, I do not work for them they don't employee people with bad credit, I told them if they want there money quicker employ me.
I can honestly say Lowell have been great in helping my financial situation through an quick & easy method on there website. When you get a letter from a debt management company instantly you think of constant annoying phone calls, baliffs house visit, constant mail asking for payment. Lowell was the only letter I read thoroughly based on their proffesionalism and sympathy to your situation it was then that i realised that there was a company willing to support and help customers become debt free or atleast take control and start the road to paying off any outstanding debts. I always found the worst part of debt was making that inital phone call for payment plans which can feel so embarrased and as a result you talk yourself out of the situation eventually that control is out your hand and before you know it you then have CCJs affecting you for much more than you originally would have been. I urge anyone and everyone to try Lowells support register your account set up a payment plan for each account and just give them a chance it will be then when you realise you now have control again its easy to ignore any bad situation but once you feel supported and heard you wil strive to support yourself with Lowell they will help you as they have me. This will be your first step which is a huge one hopefully you feel like i do and finally take control.

I have paid off three debts with this company.
Starting from Feb 2020 so far they have failed to update equifax and have infact lied to them stating nothing has changed on my account although three are now closed.
Shocking no point paying off any debt to this company as they fail to update your credit file then lie about it.
I have sent pictures to equifax of my online closed statements however this company still refuses to update me credit score..... Nice one good job disgrace

Wish it were possible to give zero stars. Constantly harass me with phone calls from various numbers at all hours, the agents are rude and most times refuse to even explain why they're calling. When I managed to crack one of them they told me it was a debt from an address I have never even lived in! After telling them this and sending them away to clarify they still call me all the time when I am not the same person they are chasing. Absolute harassment merchants who rely on fear and annoyance getting you to pay for things. Rude, arrogant and incompetent
Fed up of being constantly contacted, my situation hasn't changed since last week when you asked. You have what I can afford but still not good enough. Constantly being threaten will legal action even though payments plan in place, but still not good asking me to make my payments higher and complete a new financial review.
I still do the same hours of work and have the same amount money, nothing has changed.
Week after week of phonecalls, followed by automated voice messages detailing nothing whatsoever as to what the call was about. These calls border on harassment, and continue despite my number being registered on TPS.
The only reason they're getting one star is due to the fact that I'm unable to post without giving at least one. If these calls persist, then I shall have no option but to smear my freshly-groomed coin purse in peanut butter, and dangle it into the hyena enclosure at Chester Zoo, while holding a big placard reading:

started contacting people i lived with 7 or 8 years ago about tiny debt ive explained them isnt to do with myself and they shoud chance the correct person, bang out of order lowest form of low.

Scammers: Lowell Portfolio 1 is made up of names they bought, which originated with CarphoneWarehouse - literally names, not debts (I used a fake name to buy a pre-paid SIM card at CPW and was immediately contacted over a debt - it s that blatant ).
It s a pain in the neck being harassed over fictitious debts, and obviously they don t manage to get them enforced by the courts - but sadly people pay them money, either because they re scared or because they don t want the hassle of dealing with them.
Just Google Lowell debts to see the extent of the problems. Write to them and ask them to clarify what the debt is for; they ll ignore the question, but at least then you re covered if they do file court papers.
Tried to deal with them for a not fair and cheap default removal, only wasted my time, person on the phone friendly and useless, they can just said speak to a financial advisor and that they cannot remove a default so lying on the first place.
Ruined my life and chance to get a mortgage.
