First time to Louie's and we had a blast. Great staff and food. LT did a great job running karaoke as well. We'll be back again!

Louie's hosts trivia night on Tuesdays, which meant it was crowded and very loud. Food was good, but very greasy. I had a classic Reuben sandwich that was served very hot. I opted for onion rings that were huge and very tasty.

Excellent food. Very busy, still received service timely. Quite loud, but that is to be expected from this type of place on a Saturday night.

Small space but big heart and soul. The food will fill you and warm you soul, as well as keep you coming back. The have a decent selection of beers on tap and a large set of TVs to watch the game. Nice cabin like trophy house interior, with nice servers and a good menu you can't go wrong for a quiet night out.

Please don't make excuses for why your cocktails aren't good. If it's 9 o'clock and there are diners eating and talking, don't prop open the door to the mediocre band, drowning out any chance to hear each other or the server just so a waitress doesn't have to open the door once in a while to walk through...

Louie's is a dive. Gentrification is slowly driving their prices up which is a drag. They let us do comedy here every Tuesday (the show is free) so that's a 5 but the climbing prices are a 3. 4 it is.

Great food, I went with some friends they all enjoyed their food! The music is way too loud for good conversation they should lower the volume quite a bit to make it more enjoyable to groups; as one could not listen to anyones conversation unless they are seating next to you, there were 5 of us and we could not hear one another.

A decent bar never had their food yet. Locations not the greatest for me. Decent place to play a show there.

Great place to go for lunch. Big fan of the California Rueben, homemade French fries, and baked chicken wings. Friendly and professional bartenders. Plenty of off street parking and the oldest bar in Kalamazoo!

First time trying it. Liked the atmosphere. Food was served quick. Nachos were good and very large. Draft cider was warm but tasted alright. Server was friendly. Price wasnt as high as anticipated.

All of us come here. Tall, short, well off, just us average people. A perfect neighborhood bar worth driving for, close to downtown. Great bar food, cheap drinks, but go upscale if that is you. Like Cheers but in Kalamazoo

Service was good. We got our food quick. The spinach and artichoke dip was very good. The pulled pork sandwich was horrible. The meat was mush instead of pulled, and the Cole slaw in it had green peppers which totally overpowered everything. The burger was well done, when asked for medium. The fries were overcooked. The wings were good, but most wings are.

Typical good bar food. It can get pretty busy, especially if there is a band playing.

The staff is very friendly and quick here! We went for karaoke which featured a live band on a Friday and it was A BLAST!

Great place for actual adults to hang out versus the cookie cutter college bars

Visited New Year's eve night. Didn't really care for the 3 band switch. Thought that was a bit over kill, 2 bands would of done. Too much time between bands. And no one counted down the New Years eve ball drop in the band area.
I ordered wine and the first one was served in a plastic cup at the bar, the second one served in glass in the back by the band. What's up with that?

My fav place to chill, always a good to eat and drink if just a regular night or a party night.

I have none as of yet but ive seen the menu and it looks sooo delicious. Will be going at the beginning of july

I was delighted to find this gem of a bar. Old to Kalamazoo but new to us. We found a coupon in the local coupon flyer so we stopped in with another couple that we go out with on Fridays. Parking was a little challenging but we f ok und a spot in the lot. Food was fresh made from fresh ingredients. Delicious onion rings and dips. Wet burrito was perfect. Hamburger was one of the best burgers in town. Several selections of beer on tap and a full bar. The atmosphere was home bar like and it just felt SO Kalamazoo. We will be back!!

One of our local favs but not a fan of trivia night. The trivia volume is at a 10 and really could be more at a 7 or 8.

Great place and quick service. It is a dive bar! Specials on Tuesday night were all night which is even better. Parking lot is big and dark which should not stop you for going inside. Food is so much better than you would think. I was there late and everyone was eating. The food is that delicious!

Food and drinks are kinda expensive but everything else was good the patio & host room was nice.

Louis's is one of the forgotten gems in town. Stiff and generous pours, fast service, clean bar, and suprisingly good food for a dive. Their bathrooms are always pretty gross but not horrible. Obviously the taxidermy is what makes this place the most unique. It's cool to see all the heads decorated at xmas time, too.

Great food....awesome atmosphere... and let's just say one thing about the staff... Wow there are a great group of people who really know how to take care of their patrons

Most definitely the worst food I have ever had, I believe the person name was jo and he took my order, I've asked for the garbage burger medium well with a side of chili instead of chips, when I got my order 20 minutes later the burger was rare and the soup I asked for was a ham and bean, there is literally only 6 people in the bar and it's a Monday at 2 in the afternoon . I immediately said to the server I don't believe this is right and with an attitude the guy told me "how do you know when you barely looked at it" and I told him that I can tell from here the chili isn't chili and my bun bottom is dripping blood when I asked for it medium well. He immediately took my order and went into the kitchen and started to yelled "mike what the hell is going on" and I could literally hear the entire conversation. I definitely over heard one of the cooks saying "if he doesn't like my food his ass can go somewhere else". I have never been to a pub where the environment is so hostile, the food is to pricey for what it is and how is served and handled, when your order is right it still tastes like if it sat under a heat lap for longer then it was cooked. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, if I honestly could I wouldn't give this place one star.

Just awful. If you like great food, warm ambience, fun staff or interesting conversation, stay away.

They book some good bands on the weekends. It's nice that they play in the side room so that if the volume isn't your thingyou can still have a conversation without shouting in the front room. They have a solid menu and it would be a good place to catch a game. Their staff is sharp and ready to help.

The food is a little sloppy, but the drinks are right, and the atmosphere can't be beat. Grandma had the entire bar sing her happy birthday on her 98th birthday - they happily obliged. How can you not love that?
