I always have a fantastic experience with Dana, my dental hygienist..I won't let anyone else clean my teeth :)

This was my second routine dental cleaning visit at Loudoun Dental Smiles. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Very clean and modern technology equipment. The staff is what puts it over the top. Erin was in my hygienist, and I can honestly say this has been the best dental cleaning I ve ever experienced (35+ years of dental visits)

Best dental office ever for those that are scared to death of the dentist. Everyone there is very caring and sweet, and truly care about their patients. You do not feel like you are just a "body" in an appointment spot. I told them today that I had finally found a dental office that I could go to without needing a Xanax to calm my nerves.... and my Dr. brought me a sticker as I was leaving. I was also happy to see that there was a fun atmosphere and happy staff! Highly recommended to children and adults!!!

We had our first visit and I was impressed with the cheerful staff and clean environment. My pet peeve is a dentist that tries to sell extra services and they did not do this, very refreshing.

I have very sensitive teeth and so going to the dentist is a very unpleasant experience for me. Dr. Cowell is very gentle and very kind and makes the experience pleasant. Because of my anxiety coming into any dentist office, I do not like surprises which only add to my angst. Today was the fourth time I've come in to find that the hygienist I made my appointment with is not the hygienist I saw. This means going through all my details from scratch as if I were a first time patient and getting yet another person used to how I can handle the procedure. I was not happy. And they have on my file not to do this or to call me so I can mentally prepare.

I've been going to Loudoun Dental Smiles ever since 2013; every time I've gone, I've had a great experience. Doctor Cowell (I apologize if I spelled her name wrong) has always been very honest with me and has told me her recommendations or advice about my teeth. If you're looking for a good dentist that is honest and organized, please come here, you won't regret it.

Dr. Cowell and her assistants Liz and Beth are AMAZING! I have been scared of the dentist for 22 years and I mean petrified, crying, shaking, cranky to everyone I m around but this filling was the best experience I have EVER had with any dentistry, period. They helped me calm myself, explained everything, they were quick and efficient and honest even when they knew I may not want to hear it. Even when I wasn t sure if I wanted them to walk me through it or not, they felt me out and listened and worked me through it, which it turns out, I prefer! And I wouldn t have known any of that if it weren t for them. I am actually looking forward to going back, they are making my mouth beautiful again, and making me excited to do so. I even forgot my chapstick and they gave me a mini one to use and keep! I truly can not speak highly enough, or tell enough people how grateful I am. I have found my forever dentist!!

One of the most nicest dentist places I have ever been! Dr, technicians and front dest ladies are super friendly and helpful. They are very good in reminding your appointment by calling and texting both. The place is super clean and they do very good job!! Super happy and highly recommend this place!

I love this Dental Office! The staff is so friendly and I love Dr. Cowell.

Dr. Cowell has been an amazing dentist, and I cannot recommend her strongly enough. After recently changing dentists, she was able to diagnose and treat an issue of mine that had gone unnoticed for years. She not only did excellent work, but was very open and honest with me around my procedure, setting my expectations for the treatment, and most importantly anticipated costs. She took her time to explain to me what she found and how she believed the treatment should be handled. It was refreshing to have a doctor discuss a treatment plan and spend time to make me understand exactly what was needed and why. Her passion for her work is amazing, and truly shows with her demeanor and care for her patients.

I fear dentist, but always come away with a more positive outlook! Staff extremely friendly. Dana rocks and is very understanding!

I love this dental office. They re professional, friendly and always HAPPY! I always know I m in good hands with my dental hygienist, and the owner of the practice even comes to check out your teeth when they re done with the cleaning. It has a small town feel , where everyone knows your name.

I have sensitive teeth and they re very gentle with my cleanings, they don t try to talk to you with their hands in your mouth and the BEST part is they re not messy with the water. You know what I m talking about...when it s time to rinse and the water is on full blast so you leave with a freshly showered face? Not here! Especially important if you have somewhere to be after your visit, and smudged makeup would not have you looking your best.

Dana is the most fabulous dental hygenist! She is personable and thorough and gives good explanations for what she is doing and the results. I have also been very happy with the other staff interactions and pleased with the care and professionalism of the dentists who I have seen as well. I highly recommend this practice!

One of my least favorite things to do is go to the Dentist, and I expressed that the first time I visited this practice. The assistants are amazing! They are very kind and talk me through the visit so I feel more at ease. Dr. Cowell is AWESOME! She also makes sure to keep me updated on where we are and tries to make the visit as easy as possible knowing how much anxiety it gives me. I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for a kind staff that takes your fear of the dentist seriously, and helps you through each visit.

Dr. Grover is awesome and very professional. Everyone is very nice from the front desk to the back office. Our kids love going the dentist because of how comfortable and relaxing they make them feel. There is a playroom for the children to play while they wait for they are turn or while they wait for their parents. All of us have a great experience and we love that there is not long wait. I am very mad at the customer service at Loudoun Dental Smiles because they messed up my appointment on Tue Dec 2016 , then the staff was afraid of fired, so she blamed my husband to make appointment for me without telling me. My husband knew my schedule very well b/c every Tue He had to drive me to work on sterling, how can he made appointment for me on that day. Beside there was no reminder for both me and my husband on that day, He came b/c he remembered his appointment, when the staff told me she did called for a reminder, after check with her, turn out she called the wrong number (wrong house) and reminder somebody.
After arguing with the Rep, I told her that I would move to another dentist, and she said "go ahead", Then I talked to the owner of the dentist office, she really did not feel sorry for mistake and the behavior of the staff that is not accepted at the office environment, and did not care that I would leave, No letter or phone call to apologize to me. Why don't you admitted somebody when made appointment and clicked on the wrong day, instead blamed my husband. He said he did not made appointment for me that day. it is ashamed that staff acted like a child by blamed someone.

I am unhappy so I am planning to move to another dentist, and my new dentist needs the X-ray from the previous year, 2016. I contacted Loudoun Dental Smiles for the X-Ray, and they told me they lost them for the years 2015 and 2016, b/c of the virus in the system. It 's very weird, and they sent my new dentist X-ray of year 2014, which is TRASH b/c of it's very old. It is very un-professional, and un-ethical. The office lost my previous X-Ray 2016, gave 2014 X-ray it's so mysterious and suspicious ???. If x ray was lost why it was lost just 2016, and 2015, why 2014 is till available which is Trask b/c too old. The owner was lie about I refused to take x-ray 2015, and lied about they did all to please me, it is a lie. They DID NOT apologize to me, the way the owner said she defended her staff blamed back to my husband. Be a grown up, admit the mistake.
Since that happened I said I will move but not really move yet, I was waiting any phone call from the owner to apologize to me, but the owner never calls. Until 2017 I started to looking for a new dentist.
If I were you (owner) I will fire a staff with bad attitude to customer that day, and apologize to customer, and have to train the staff again, b/c there were many missing and wrong. To me that is the best way to please the customer, you and the your staff (front desk) should learn how to apologize to customer.

I am so mad right now, If you were me how do you feel? and I did not like your rude customer service why should I come back to take x ray again, and I did want to be treat badly. Beside I did not know you will hide to charge my insurance for re- take x-ray or not.
It makes me wonder why they are still in business.
PS: I also agreed with the other person rated 3 stars, you are not alone, b/c it was happen to me couples of time, when I like that hygienist and made appointed with her, but I came there was a different hygienist, and there was not announced before appointment, so I have to accept different hygienist for clean up. I was uncomfortable. no happy.

Dr. Cowell and the staff are beyond amazing. I called in with a dental emergency. I was seen 5 minutes later and all taken care of within 30 minutes. Thank you for saving my weekend....

This is a bit of a silly review given that I am the owner of this practice but I feel compelled to describe my great experience today! I needed a couple fillings...yes even we need to sit in the big chair sometimes! Dr Grover gave me a painless injection and she and Maria proceeded to replace an old existing filling and address a new cavity that I didn t realize I had. The chair was super comfortable and I enjoyed the distraction of HGTV overhead while they worked. I am proud of my team because I know this is the great service they strive to provide every day to each and every patient! Thanks guys! Proud of you and grateful to not have to worry about this cavity anymore!

Never have I had this type of experience, and I actually look forward to going the dentist and visiting with the staff. This makes the whole dental experience much, much more tolerable! Terrific experience. Quick to schedule, flawless checkin, and Aron was terrific at cleaning with a wonderful personality. Dentist was personable, knowledgeable, and took her time to talk and answer any questions. I would highly recommend.

Staff attentive and courteous, showed concern and interest. Dentist the same. I ve had similar procedure in elsewhere so have the advantage of professional comparison and as a layman I view today s experience as thorough and professional. Dentist explained process and expected outcome well. Completed the visit with an overall assessment of my teeth and observed issues. Comments viewed as professional and as a good marketing pitch. Not sure X-rays were necessary to install (reinstall) a failed Maryland bridge install. However, understand the needs of operating a business and not having any information on a new patient. Appreciate the time and professionalism of the dentist and staff. Additional comment: after close self examination of bridge placement I don t think the wing on the right side (behind front tooth) is properly placed in the grooved pocket behind the tooth. Visually the tooth is too high in alignment with adjacent teeth. I can feel the upper edge of the wing with my tongue and know it s not in the same location as when bridge was secure. I don t have the lower tooth putting pressure on the left bridge wing so that is good. Overall I think the right side wing is riding above the grove fit and therefore will have upward pressure on the bonding material and may fail. The wing needs to be in perfect attitude with the grove in the tooth to receive support from the upper grove edge and enable the bridge to accept the pressure that will be placed on the bridge from chewing. The bridge snapped into proper placement on the dry run but I think the bonding material may have caused the wing to slip up out of the groove and prevented the wing from descending below the upper edge of the groove.

Amazing care by Dr. Cowell and her staff. Routine cleaning showed an infection in a root canal; sent to Dr Castro for root canal therapy and had a great experience there despite the re-do. Temp filling on crown fell out and Dr Cowell accommodated me with 24 hours and it was quick and painless. I look forward to my 6 month cleaning now instead of dreading it!

Absolutely the best dentist I've ever been to! I've never waited very long to be seen. Beautiful office, friendliest staff ever from receptionists to assistants, and incredibly honest, caring, and skilled dentists. I had a dentist in Alexandria tell me I needed fillings in all my molars due to cavities. They lied! Thankfully I went with my gut (I've had like two cavities my whole life) and didn't go forward with it. After we moved out here, LDS confirmed my gut. No cavities! They also made a double root canal a very easy experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality dentist!

Loudoun Dental Smiles has a terrific, caring staff. They all treat you as if you are their only client. Their protocols for COVID-19 are thorough and indicative of their concern for everyone s safety. My appointment today for a cleaning was efficient, easy and took less time than I originally had planned. I couldn t ask for more and am happy to be a client!

I had a great experience here. I had lapsed in my dental work for a few years and came in to zero judgement and very gentle handling! Everyone was always smiling and very reassuring. They're very transparent and will take time to explain each step of any process to you. You won't be told you need a procedure without being shown pictures and x-rays to prove it. There's no pushiness, I really felt in control of every decision that was made. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The entire staff is friendly. I've been going here for over 3 years and have always had a pleasant experience. They have televisions in each room and they let you watch whatever you want - get your HGTV fix while your teeth are cleaned! :)

Friendly staff, professional and when I addressed an issue with them it was taken care of immediately. They don t try to sell you services you don t need.

Update: went back today for my 6 month checkup and the first visit wasn't a fluke... still 5 star ratings across the board:
- Office environment: very clean, organized, and each dental chair has it's own TV for viewing (you can request which channel to watch :)
- Staff: extremely polite, and friendly (good sense of humor)
- Professionalism: experienced, and very gentle during cleaning
- Bonus - they give you nice care packages with decent toothbrushes (not those cheesy, worthless toothbrushes)

Love this practice. Everyone is extremely nice and kind, not to mention, my teeth felt so clean after an appointment. I also love the fact that they don't try to talk you into unnecessary, expensive procedures.

They treated me very gently and professionally. They explained well what s possibly the cause of my pain above my tooth with crown. They even showed the xrays. Glad to know I don t need a root canal right now! Thank you for a wonderful service!

I was way overdue for a dental check-up. Mostly from unpleasant experience in the past, viewed services as not the best, avoidance, financials, etc.

I decided to get back on track again, online reviews about Loudoun Dental then decided to take the next step. I am very happy with that decision. Dr Howard and team... Aysha, April, and Rachel have been great to work with from scheduling, finances, service, and follow up. I look forward to staying on track with Loudoun Dental Smiles.

This office was great!!! The staff was friendly, thorough, and professional. They did a great job putting my kids at ease. We got in and out quickly, and left with happy kids. They were very considerate with scheduling my family so that we made the most of our time there.

I think they do too many fillings and repairs that don't need to be done. Noone can understand some of the techs, so they can say things to make you think you need work done. I will consider looking elsewhere for dental treatment even though I love their hours and availability.

Always positive. They never try to upsell you on things you don't absolutely need. The fill-in dentist was a bit perfunctory today with her quick exam but otherwise all good.

Today was my first visit. I was so very impressed from a-z. Yes we all are following new Covid restrictions. They made my experience seamless. The communication was amazing. I knew where and when to be someplace. Never crossed path with another patient. Every staff member had joy in what they did and that is hard in this new norm. The staff was fun and professional. I always thought going to the Dentist as a dreaded experience but no more. Dr. Cowell and be her staff should be very proud. Great Job!!!
