Recently visited this location. This place has change names and owners several times. Every time I have gone, it's a different restaurant hence the four stars.
Be careful with parking in the residential area, parking signs are a bit confusing. Went with a party of 5, 3 had parking tickets at the end of the night. Take it from a proud owner of a parking ticket.

I went here for a group dinner one time and tried the Mini Mega platter, along with some appetizer. The food was pretty good. It wasn't the best American BBQ I've ever had, but for it was still good enough to the point where I would go back if I had the chance. I liked their ribs and tri tip, along with their baked beans. The ambience is the typically trendy rustic gastropub environment which makes for an exciting time for a night out. I can easily count this place in as one of the top 10 restaurants in Sherman Oaks.

Five of us came here and ordered the Mini Mega Platter, we still couldn't finish it. Ugh. So much amazing food, though. The ribs are to die for. Every meat seemed to be painstakingly prepared... Amazing.

The food is great, although a little pricey. Happy hour is great! They have an amazing craft beer list and do 4oz pours which makes it super easy to try a bunch of different beers instead of just drinking one. Check out the seafood broil the last Wednesday of each month.

The drinks are fantastic. The BBQ is great. The chef menus are where it's at. They do some crazy themed menus here which are always out of this world. P.s. they make an In-n-out animal style burger burrito. Yes you read that correctly. It's mind blowing good.

Great place with solid atmosphere, drinks and food. The bartenders are attentive and really know what they're doing. My burger the other night was da bomb! I highly recommend Boneyard Bistro.

Excellent BBQ! The bacon building blocks are definitely a must-try. They have a mix of BBQ staples such as ribs and brisket along with some creative options like a BBQ ramen. Lots of craft beer on tap and an extensive whiskey menu. We'll be back!

The queso here is Legit! And they offer it up with either brisket or chorizo.(giving Homestate some serious competition)
It's good. This is coming from a very discerning Texan. I have tried their brisket. Maybe it's not like Houston/Austin, but I think it completely delicious. They also have an amazing beer selection and a late night happy hour. Go check this place out. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Great food, great beer. First experience was a walk in after bar hopping at midnight. They asked if we wanted food. We asked what was available. They said the whole menu! We're talking ribs, chicken, brisket, the works! Definitely stop here.

It's easy for me to describe Boneyard Bistro - it's simply my favorite place to eat in LA. The service is friendly, the drinks menu is extensive and creative, and the BBQ is flavorful, tender, and paired with excellent sides. Their baked beans are good enough to order on their own. They've got some interesting apps (kobe beef chili filled donuts!) and it's just an all-around excellent time. Due to price (around $110 for two people with app/entrees/drinks) we don't come all the time, but every experience is rewarding.

Excellent BBQ! I had the brisket and it was fantastic!
Their collard greens are amazing as well.
The pricing is par for Ventura Blvd.
The staff was very pleasant, and they have a valet if needed.
The portions are a bit small though.

More like bonehead bistro. Wasn t even sitting in this dude s section when he comes out of nowhere to remove some finished plates. You can probably guess what happens next... yup, the kook spills a bunch of bbq sauce covered utensils all over my brand new jeans as he clumsily tries to remove a plate. Not cool. Hire professionals. I should be able to wear nice clothes to a restaurant. Staff should know to put utensils on plates before they take away finished plates.

Another reason I m giving this a one star review is because the coleslaw is terrible. They try to get creative with a simple recipe and it just doesn t work. But more importantly, the ribs I ordered came out VERY dry. Like chalk mine dry. Shouldn t have ever been plated dry. Although they were kind enough to send out a different rack of ribs, the bonehead bar back blue it for the boneyard.

There are other choices for bbq in The Valley. Better to go there. Boo boneyard.

Nice decor and atmosphere. Service was ok. We had cocktails and beers to start. Good selection of tasty beers - it's really hard to go wrong with that. Cocktails weren t as good but were as pricey as ever. The Old Fashioned was watery and just didn t get close to acceptable. We had the Building Blocks and a salad to start, both were wonderful - we highly recommend the building blocks if you like crispy pork belly. For main course some of our party had BBQ and others had burgers. Most of the sides were excellent - the baked beans were the best we d ever tasted (and I m British so that is saying something). The slaw was equally good - lots of dill which gave it a great fresh taste. The fries were a little soggy. Beef ribs were enormous and very tasty. As for the smoked pork ribs - well, we wouldn t order those again. Nor would we order the sausage again - very average. Burgers were ok, but nothing special - there are better options for burgers in the valley in our opinion. Many people have highlighted the fried mac and cheese in their reviews so we ordered it. The little bites definitely had a unique novelty factor and they tasted alright but we would not write home about them or order them again... Overall the Boneyard Bistro felt a little hit-and-miss. We will return for what we liked, and for the atmosphere, but this is primarily because we live less than 1 mile away and options for great food round these 'ere parts are limited. Hope this is helpful to you!

How this place isn't rated 5 stars blows my mind! I had the Moscow mule which was delish but it's not a drink you can really make bad.... My boyfriend was obsessed with their whiskey sour with egg whites. The beef donuts - AMAZING. The fried mac and cheese - AMAZING. The shrimp tacos - AMAZING!! I can't wait to go back and try out more of the menu.

Note- This place isn't cheap and it gets pricey once you start ordering another round of drinks! So just be conscious of that :)

It's one thing to not deliver a complete order. It's a problem when the manager thinks its professional to argue with me, then admit they made a mistake, to then only tell me that you're to busy to deal with it?!?!??! Josh you might have had other orders but I'm also a customer!!!!

Kobe beef chile donuts are a good starter, along with a shot of bourbon from their extension libations list. From bistro to barbeque, they have it covered here. Creative foods, prepared and served with love.

Very friendly and sweet host. I was craving bbq all week and this was a disappointing let down. The fries were hot but under cooked, the brisket was cold, lacking flavor and the texture was tough. Not what I expected for $30.
