Good dinner with family :) Service was Good Food was Good! will be back for more dumplings:) I saw few reviews stating Service isn't good but we found it good! Really can tell they put effort into making good dish :) I will try Eggplant next time! My kids found Mocktails a little sweet and Prawn noodle was little salty(my family has little bland taste bud) but every dish was nice :) Thank you!
Unable to rate the food as we were turned away by a manager as we were being seated by a waitress at 2:28pm. We were informed that the kitchen actually closed at 2:30pm (despite advertised hours on their website of 12-3pm). We are locals who mostly eat and won t return.
Dumplings made in heaven. Best dumplings I have ever had and I ve been around. So happy with this find. Everything served was amazing and great service. The food was fine dining level but had a casual dining setting. Price wise it was little bit more than your everyday asian cuisine, but absolutely worth it. Cheaper than fine dining.

Pork Xiao Long Bao (better than perfect/best ever)
Jade prawn dumpling (also best ever)
Braised pork fillet with shanghai style sauce (mouth watering goodness)
Lotus fried rice with duck & asparagus (really nice accompaniment and not heavy)
Great little place. The decor is simple and easy on the eye. The team was friendly and attentive. The dumplings were delicious and tasty. The cocktail we had was one of the worst. My advice is stick to the wine list as a safe option I would recommend this place to my friends for a good lunch destination.
We ordered take away pork xiao long bao, pork and chive dumpling, crispy eggplant with honey and chilli and vegetables. Everything was tasty and the portions were good.
Nice food and nice service. Good GF options also. Definitely go back next time we are in town.
Lotus dumpling will always be the best go-to when you are craving the best yum cha in Sydney. The restaurant offers the best of the best and integrates an intimate dining experience.

I have been visiting this restaurant for years and I have never had a bad meal. We had dinner there last night and our waiter Bishal was extremely friendly, warm and accommodating, the food was flawless (like always). Highly recommend.
Went for Saturday lunch. Small venue near Circular Quay. Good service. Ordered Dumplings, Sichuan Eggplants, Prawns in Thai Basil Chilli sauce. Food was nice but flavours were mild and toned down. Could definitely do with more heat/spice. Had to use chilli oil quite liberally.
The original Lotus restaurant did not disappoint. An early dinner with a great selection of varied dumplings - our favoured was the crab and lobster, the special of the evening. Lovely decor and friendly service, a great little find in Walsh Bay.
