Mrs Top French Cuisine and Bar Review

This is a place you need to visit at least once in your life. The vibe here is super classy and definitely high end, even for the bar for Happy Hour like we did.

Huge variety of drinks and a good selection of food. The food menu at the bar could be a little bigger, but I guess that's what the restaurant side is for. The standout from the menu? Well that's definitely the Normandy Burger at only $13 during Happy Hour and for $4 for the silkiest and smoothest French fries you'll ever have.

The Burger itself is a Dry Age Beef perfection. You get hit with the Umami flavour and pungent beef, that coats your entire mouth with pure beef fat goodness. Topped with onions, cheese, in house sauce and pickles between a dark and fluffy brioche bun, it's a piece of heaven between buns.
Well worth a visit just for this.

Very intimate and romantic atmosphere perfect for a date night with your beloved or with friends! The food was good however not suitable for vegetarians. Glad that I eat fish!! The service at the bar counter was very good as the staff was always taking care of you. (Thank you to to lady with pink hair, sorry I don't remember your name, that even if wearing the mask she was always smiling)

This place is living to its reputation, a must-visit restaurant but overpriced. The location is amazing and takes you to whatever Americans think a French bistro is. The service is top notch and you'll definitely be well taken care of.
The food, however, is disappointing and represents all the things about the pretentious French cuisine of the Sydney French restaurant scene - it's average but somehow comes with the "French tax" price tag. The dishes come so quickly that it's obvious that they were waiting in the oven for a few hours already. The French fries were frozen (even still on the inside), quite disappointing when there are only 6 side dishes and that they are not cheap.
Probably won't come back, but glad I got to see what the fuss is all about.

The restaurant has an amazing vibe, the moment you step down the stairs you ll hear live jazz music. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Perfect for dinner dates, the candle in the middle of the tables makes the atmosphere romantic. Wide variety of dishes. Highly recommend to try oysters, escargots, sea urchin, layered potatoes and the steaks. Everything was delicious, very happy to have picked this place to take my partner for our anniversary. Had to wait awhile to be able and book this restaurant. Would come again!

Perfect food, service and ambience. The live music suited the vibe and I felt like I was in Paris. The menu is classic and done exceptionally well. Would come back here again for other special occasions.

I booked the movies and magnums experience and was quite disappointed and felt quite misled.

I love the restaurant but would not go to this event again.

For almost $150 per person, the buffet promised turned out to be a meagre serve of Maryland chicken, potato's and assorted lettuce. And there wasn't enough for everyone to get a serve of potato, let alone have 2nds. The dessert was a single profiterole, strictly limited to one per person.

Our seats were hard wooden chairs that got quite uncomfortable. We only later realised that our row was added in, as the cinema seating was much more comfortable but they had clearly sold out.

The wine was unlimited but we don't drink much...esp on a Monday.

Really disappointed at the value of the event, given it was marketed as a "buffet". I know buffet doesn't necessarily indicate "unlimited food" but given the cost, we expected a feast.

It's already a lucrative event, I don't even mind that it's just chicken and potatoes and profiteroles but the least they could do is provide enough food... how much would it have cost really to do an extra batch of potatoes and profiteroles?

I wish there was a review available before I booked this event. Had I known what to expect, we would have just done dinner at Hubert instead.

The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious! The restaurant also offers a wonderful drink menu. The menu is pricey but surely worth sampling.



In contrast, however, the service was a bit slow. But we were happy to wait while enjoying the live music.

My new favourite restaurant in Sydney! What an amazing restaurant, fantastic set up, very cosy and pleasant, perfect lighting, temperature and noise levels. This is an ideal place for a date!
Most importantly their food is absolute perfection. Raw scallops are something else, steak and clams... wow! Service was super attentive and friendly, the manager does a great job at running this operation.
