Los Caporales Restaurant and Tequila Bar Review

It was awful. Had to send my husband's food back 2 different times. Then as we are eating there was a young employee that was coughing by the kitchen, not covering his mouth & not a single employee was wearing a mask. Then we look and our waiter and the kitchen staff are drinking wine. Terrible experience. We will not be returning there for sure.

The house special of chicken, mushrooms, onion, and "house sauce" was delicious and big enough to share.

Ordered a tamale. They brought it with red sauce. Tamale was ok. It didn't need the red sauce. Red sauce tasted like regular tomato sauce. Horchata was ok. Chips and salsa were served fast.

Decent prices, delicious salsa, delicious food. The speed of service, however, could have been better. A server saw us seat ourselves outside as he was helping the table near us. He went inside and we didnt see anyone for another 5 minutes. When we did see someone, they asked if we needed menus and went in. Then someone else came out, without menus, and took our drive order. We reminded them we needed menus and it took another 10 minutes to actually get them. We were only checked on maybe twice in the hour after that and many of us waited quite a while for refills

We had the worst experience and will not be returning. Took over an hour to get our food, only had a refill on water once (after an hour), food was mediocre, and it was expensive especially for the service. Will not return.

Love this restaurant. Please bring back the capitals platter.

Good food with good service with a family atmosphere in the dining area. Everything we had came out quickly and was correct. Definitely going back to try other items.

I was impressed with how a lone waiter was taking on all the tables at once.....and the food was pretty decent too.

The waitress was sweet and accommodating. I had street tacos that were very good. My whole family enjoyed the meal.

Good mexicam food and drinks. The service is friendly and the establishment is clean. Casino is available with a variety of games.

When we got there, it was not busy and still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated, it took us 10 minutes to even get drinks and food order taken. After an hour, we still had not received OUR food but people who had come in after us, including a family of 5, got theirs. We asked our waitress, who said "they were busy and sorry for the wait" and went to check on our order. She came out 5 minutes later, with "there must have been a printing error in the kitchen because they have no record of that order. " My husband and I told her to just cancel our order and please bring our check. Paid for our drinks and left. We went to Casa Mexico and had our entire order in less than 20 minutes!! Table next to us at Los Caporales didn't even get half their order and after waiting for 15 minutes cancelled the rest of their order too. Waitresses were rude and no compensation was offered for such a very unpleasant experience.

Definitely get some chips and salsa. It's to die for.

If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.

Best Mexican food in Kalispell. Great sit down restaurant. Very friendly staff. Don't waste your time elsewhere.

If you like real Mexican food, you should try this place!

Simple quality fare. Menu is your typical American style Mexican food (meat, beans, rice smothered in cheese). The carne asada is particularly good although the supremo burrito is my favorite.

Very good food. My wife and I enjoy eating here. The staff is always friendly and smiling.

Waitstaff was super. The food quick and hot. With this said, some ofthe food was pretty much pre prepared...ie: canned beans, factory made tortillas, frozen guacamole. So, go there if you need to fill your tummy in a hurry or if you just don't want to cook. It's not bad in the long run.

The chimichanga was soggy and not fried well. The beans were average and the rice was OK.

Took forever, food so so, ran out of something we ordered and didn't tell us toil the food was brought. Not worth returning.

The waiter was very nice and prompt but there wasn't much for smaller portions. I ordered a small nacho and it was enough for 3 people and when I got home I just felt sick.

They have good and reasonably priced food. A decent vegetarian selection. I'd recommend the Cadillac Margarita, it's good enough you shouldn't be driving if you order one unless you plan on having a long lunch.

I really wish I could have tried the food, but the place was so moldy I got an allergic reaction from just walking in the door....It stinks like mold! I had to leave right away so I could breath again...You should seriously get that checked out.

Went there for lunch yesterday for the first and last time. I can say the pre meal chips were good as was the guacamole, salsa not so much. We received our meal (Pork Enchiladas Verde for my husband and I had a Carne Asada Burrito), we received our order after 2 other tables who came in after we ordered AND who ordered after we did. When we received our plates they were sizzling so imagine our surprise when we discovered our meat only lukewarm, and as for my Carne Asada, meat only in the middle of the burrito and no grilled taste whatsoever! I very seldom do this but no tip was left, sub par service (unless you were having a drink from the bar) and cold food. No esta bien!

Very nice staff not really well located surrounded by many other restaurants, I will be back though fast and furious!

It's a shame for a business with good food to lose good customers due to horrific customer service.

I called to place an order for pick up. "Carmina" answered the phone, and abruptly put me on hold for over 5 minutes. I called back and she hastily took my order, rushing me and cutting me off the whole way, and said it would be ready in 20 mins.

My man, after working all day, drove a half an hour out of his way to pick it up. Arrived and was rudely told that the order was never placed.

I called and asked to speak to a manager and was put back to "Carmina". She had nothing to say to me regarding my complaint.

Everyone has bad days but, when you are in a service industry, there are basic standards to uphold....

We are frequent customers. We constantly bring friends and family to eat at this establishment. The owners should really reconsider who they are hiring! We are very disappointed.

It was awful my husband said his wet burrito tasted like a tomato couldn't taste anything in it and my carnitas plate was flavorless beef strips

A one off mom & pop shop. good food but not great. Could use an interior freshen up and good deep clean. They had a "C" health rating and it showed. The server was very nice and service was good with the exception of getting drinks refilled.

The refried beans were gray and mush. Chicken was slimy and tasted old. Tortillas were soggy. Will never eat there again.

We had dinner at the east location it's not very good the one south of Kalispell is amazing that one gets 4 stars

Service was good. Food was very salty and not authentic.

It isn't very good Mexican food and it isn't even Tex Mex, not sure what to call it. But the worst part is the belligerent drunks at 3 pm on a Friday afternoon. The trio was extremely loud, obviously drunk and swearing so much we were unable to sit outside with the children.

Our waitress didn't care because she said they were regulars but she die offer to re-seat us inside.

Good Verde sauce and enchiladas. We like mom and pop shops over chains and bigger, flashier establishments. This was a hit!

The bartender on Sundays is EXCELLENT...IMPECCABLE SERVICE.

The food used to be awesome, for Montana/tex-mex. They remodeled & forgot they were sposta serve EDIBLE food. The tamales were very very light on meat & the cornmeal was so water it slopped apart. They served me a shredded lettuce salad on a hot plate... C'mon guys! Reeeally? The bartender was incredibly busy, but very sweet & made yummy margaritas.
