Counseling office is honestly a mess. You have to call a week in advance during certain hours to set up an appointment with a counselor. They do walk-ins but they're so pointless when they end up dismissing you because they can't help you with much since its just a walk in. I wish they would improve by creating a system where you're able to meet with counselors easily. They don't seem to care for students needs or give excellent service. Some of the receptionists can be so unhelpful too. If you find them in a good mood or they seem to like you, its unbelievable how easily they're able to get things done. I really hope this school hears back on the many complains and hires new staff and counselors that care to help and will do their job.

I was dually enrolled at LAMC throughout high school. This is one of the best schools that I have attended. The majority of teachers here are understanding and sincerely want the students to do well. Some of the buildings are a bit outdated, but the school is constantly improving.

Had the most awful experience in their front desk yesterday, the lady was just plain rude to me when I went to simply change on information on my enrollment application when she talked to me she rolled her eyes at me and was almost yelling at me the whole time. Treating me like if I was doing something wrong when I just wanted to further my education.
As I was walking out walked out I heard her turn to the lady she was with behind the desk and say THESE people come in and don t know...
An today I spoke to her supervisor and she started to defend the actions and behavior of the lady in the front desk. Needless to say I ve called other colleges in the Valley and asked them what was the procedure they would take for my situation and they didn t have any issues with it unlike Mission College.

I finished my igetc today 3:42PM. Enrolling in Anatomy 479B.Someone stole my adderrall prescriptions thought it would be funny.

Ebneshahidi Is the most disgusting and rude individual I ve ever came across in my college career. He was so rude to students when we asked questions about the course or assignments. If you ever need to take Anatomy 001, choose any other professor besides him. He was so disrespectful and out of line I filed a grievance against him but LAMC did nothing to correct the situation. Ebneshahidi is old, so I don t see him teaching much longer. Good riddance!

I am here to complain about the lady name Gina at the admission. I told her i needed a course repetition petition form due to course recency. I went there to do this process 3 months prior to the start of spring semester because i know this process is going to take at least 1 month. So she gave me the form and i filled it out. After that she called me saying that my petition had been approved. The spring semester class had started and i could not even register for my class. I had to keep asking my professor for permission numbers and keep re-adding the class but the system keep dropping me out of my class so i went to the admission and i figured out that this Gina lady gave me the wrong form to fill out! What a hassle and what a waste of time. She wasted my whole semester. I agree their staffs need to be trained properly.

Every single semester, it doesn t fail!! Administration, registration and counseling are so unorganized. I m convinced the administration at LA Mission College is purposely set up to deter students from enrolling. From searching for a class online, to calling in registration and counseling for assistance or questions. It s an excruciating process that just leaves you drained. If you re a new student or part-time student, just hang in there!!! Don t let this college s mismanagement get to you, pursue your education! No matter how many unnecessary obstacles are put in your way. LAMC you disappoint me every single semester!!!! I wish i had time to enroll at another college like Glendale Community College or College of the Canyons.
